  1. Sorry, I was not clear on this, my bad. Yes, the above is for the non O-A - I just wanted to know what I will have to do in the future. Thank you Pattaya57 for this - You don't have to wait 2 months to season your 800k I am very happy that I decided to start this thread. All of you have really made it very clear to me. Thank you ALL.
  2. As I have to wait another 2 months to season my 800k, I keep reading through the eVisa website. Now I have more questions that need to be clarified! What exactly do they mean by #5, #6, #7 (#6 & #7 refers to the same insurance policy?)
  3. Yes, I do agree with you. For me, a mobile & a PC is a necessity now. But, I still enjoy meeting people for a drink and/or having a meal together. I enjoy having a conversation 1 to 1, instead of tapping on my phone! At these times, the phone should be either switched off or on silent mode - in a gathering, getting lost with your phone is showing disrespect to others IMHO. In real, I prefer to have 5 real life friends rather than having 5K FB friends! Sometimes, I feel that the "art of conversation" is getting lost with the departure of the older generation...
  4. I would say more of my personal observation, rather than my experience. If we compare the youth of a couple of decades back versus todays, what would you observe? Isolation is not too healthy to us humans, I believe.
  5. Shopping online, ordering food online, working from home... slowly but surely, we humans are getting back into our caves with our phones & computers. Socializing will be something rare, and relationships & friendships will be something foreign. We will ultimately view each other with suspicion and distrust. The cost of development & changing of time will be very dear, IMHO.
  6. Living near a temple is a big risk. Sometimes, it might be quiet. But if the head monk changes or something like that, the speakers might start blasting. I wouldn't take th6at risk, ever!
  7. Yes. I experienced this myself last couple of weeks. I did some transfers from Australia to my BKK Bank account - monthly expenses were almost immediately. But Purchase of Property, it was always the following day at 12:43 pm sharp! The option long stay is not available any more. So, to get the International stamp, had to choose Purchase of Property. Apparently, weekends it seem to delay. More info
  8. Please compare my post and your quote. Thank you.
