Trump is a very vengeful and petty man. He likely won't ever forget a slight. He is busy building a new swamp right now, but sooner or later.

Rabbi's Murder Sparks Terror Alert for Israelis in Thailand
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I was not citing him specifically but there are a lot of rabbis within the Israeli community that are extremists and have supported a doctrine of hatred and genocide against Arabs. It is very likely that the people who are responsible for retribution are not carefully betting their victims, it's a concept known as blowback. -
Why Trump Should Support a Pardon for Hunter Biden
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Trump himself pardoned a lot of thieves and crooks. Dr. Faustino Bernadett: Bernadett, a retired anesthesiologist, was sentenced last year to 15 months in federal prison for taking part in a long-running health care fraud scheme where he authorized sham contracts that concealed over $30 million in illegal kickback charge after he carried a handgun from California to Florida on his private jet. Due to past felony convictions, he is barred under federal law from possessing firearms. The charge carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years. Carter has frequently expressed support for Trump and recently met with the president on criminal justice issues. Kwame Kilpatrick: The former mayor of Detroit had his 28-year sentence commuted. He pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and resigned from office as part of a plea deal in 2008 following a pay-to-play scheme in which Kilpatrick and his father took kickbacks and bribes to steer city business to certain contractors. He initially served 99 days in prison but then served an additional year for violating his probation and was released in 2011. Rick Renzi: Former U.S. Rep. Rick Renzi, R-Ariz., was granted a full pardon. In 2013, he was sentenced to three years in prison for extortion, bribery, insurance fraud, money laundering and racketeering in a public corruption case. He had served three terms in the House. The list goes on and on. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/full-list-trump-s-last-minute-pardons-commuted-sentences-n1254806 -
Why Trump Should Support a Pardon for Hunter Biden

Never forget the Charles Kushner pardon. Trump did it with no shame. There is definitely an equivalency here. -
Trump is clumsy, and clutsy, and possesses a very mediocre intellect, and is totally incapable of making the smallest decisions without ideological considerations. That is just one more thing that makes him a very dangerous man. Most people just don't realize how disruptive and destructive these tariffs could be, to the US economy. They are a massive tax hike on the lower and middle class. Granted this could be one way to finally get the super rich and Trump, to start paying some taxes, but it's a pretty inefficient way to do it.

Rabbi's Murder Sparks Terror Alert for Israelis in Thailand

That is a very misleading thing to say, yes there is violence in the South but it's limited to the South, and I can't think of a single instance where it spread to other parts of the country and affected innocence civilians. Most of that violence is targeted to the Thai Army, though there is no doubt that civilians are affected but only in the southern provinces. I won't get into whether or not they have legitimate grievances, but those provinces were part of the Malay sultanate 150 years ago, and no Thai administration has ever taken their grievances seriously. Let's just leave it at that. -
Trump is such a thoughtless goofball, and will be a poor leader. I would like to see how they are going to survive without Saudi oil, and without all the manufacturing that's done in China by American companies. Much time needs to be given to American companies who have invested billions in manufacturing overseas, to retool and relocate. There are a dozen good reasons why this production left America to begin with. As usual with Trump, none of those issues have been addressed. Even Trump makes many of his products in China. This is just a pipe dream on the part of a spectacularly ignorant man, who is proposing to impose a huge tax hike on the American people, in the form of very dumb and reckless tariffs. All the knee-jerk "I love it" comments are from people who have not thought this thing through.

Rabbi's Murder Sparks Terror Alert for Israelis in Thailand

Alot of these rabbis support not only utter devastation of Gaza, but also annexation of some of the land there for settlements, as well as existing settlements on disputed land. There was bound to be blowback, against Israeli citizens. This should not come as a surprise. I don't support terrorism by Hamas or the other horrendous organizations sponsored by Iran. But, I also do not support the hateful and mindless level of devastation wreaked by Israel.- 78 replies

The Burmese armed forces are completely insane, homicidal, genocidal, and now they are under extreme pressure from their own people, who are fighting back with a vengeance. If it were not for the ill considered, completely illogical, and poorly conceived foreign aid coming from Japan, Myanmar would have likely collapsed already. Thailand has also been complicit, and has aided the evil, malicious Tatmadaw, and that will remain a boil on the history of this country, for decades to come. Drastic retaliation should happen for this undisciplined act of violence, yet it won't, because the govt. here has no spine, and is morally bankrupt. Statement calling on the Japanese government to stop ODA and publicly-funded projects benefiting the Myanmar military. More than two years and ten months have passed since the failed coup by the Myanmar military. The military continues to commit serious human rights abuses amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity. At least 4,192 people including pro-democracy activists and civilians have been confirmed killed by the military as of November 21, 2023. Among those protesting the attempted seizure of power by force by the military, a total of 25,425 people have been arrested. Across Myanmar, 2 million people are estimated to be internally displaced as of November 10, including 1.7 million currently displaced by clashes and insecurity since the coup. By 2020, the Japanese government provided JPY 356.518 billion in total in grant aid as well as JPY 109.94 billion in total in technical assistance to Myanmar, and promised JPY 1,378.47 billion in loan aid (figure based on loan agreements). After the failed coup, then Foreign Minister Motegi made the following statement regarding these Official Development Assistance (ODA) to Myanmar on May 21, 2021: “If the situation continues in this way, it is possible that we will be compelled to review ODA and that companies may become unable to provide investment even if they want to.” However, since then, despite the worsening human rights crisis in Myanmar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Foreign Affairs have simply repeated that it would “comprehensively consider what measures may be effective while viewing the situation of the efforts made by Japan and the international community”. https://www.justiceformyanmar.org/press-releases/statement-calling-on-the-japanese-government-to-stop-oda-and-publicly-funded-projects-benefiting-the-myanmar-military

He is very comfortable with low quality, lowlife picks. He feels right at home. And he does not like smart people advising him. It makes him feel like his intelligence level is modest, which it is.

Scottish holidaymaker’s scooter disaster in Koh Pha Ngan
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
The only way to survive here on the road, is to be patient, have eyes in the back of your head, drive with caution, and always, and I mean always watch out of the other guy. Chances are, he does not have much driving skill, nor patience, nor reason, nor common sense. You cannot be too careful on the road here. Especially considering that the toy police offer no traffic safety, prevention, enforcement of the law, or concern toward the prosecution of very reckless drivers. Those of us with driving skill, and a strong desire for not only survival, but the avoidance of terrible injury, are constantly scanning the road, in front of us, beside us, and behind us. There are an exceptionally high number of reckless fools on these roads, and it is the only way to preserve our lives, and those of our families, and friends, who may be driving with us, and depending on us. Many of us drive motorcycles or scooters here, and it is dangerous getting on the roads with some of these other drivers. Getting on a scooter, or a motorcycle anywhere in Thailand, much less Phuket, Phangan, Dark Tao, or Samui without a very good helmet, is like playing Russian Roulette with three or four bullets in the chamber. It is absolutely asking for problems. The degree of recklessness here is astounding. And many foreigners come here thinking "how much trouble could I get in on a little scooter, on a tropical island"? Well, the answer is alot. The amount of foreigners who are killed on the Southern islands is staggering. Most are not reported in the media. I had a friend who worked for Samui rescue for many years, and said the numbers were about 30-60 a month, on Samui, Phangan and Koh Tao. The official number is about 3 a month. Rider beware. Use as good a helmet as you can afford, and do not use these eggshells pieces of crap. They crack at the first impact, and what lies underneath them? Your skull, which is very delicate. -
Everything about the construction of this highway is truly an abomination, they are over a decade behind schedule, it looks like there are 20 years to go before they reach out to Phetchaburi, considering they're only at kilometer 35, and even that section is not complete. In my opinion the top officials of this company should be fined hundreds of millions of dollars for their failure to follow a respectable schedule, and making Rama II the hazed it is. In addition the top officials should be bought to trial for negligent homicide as a result of this accident.
