  1. Yes. I ride alot here. But, I have been riding nearly 50 years. I was simply asking how much riding experience he had. It does make a big difference.
  2. Any party that does not care for the army, should be elected. The army is a do nothing, cash sucking institution. I seriously doubt if Thailand gets anything back, or any benefit at all, from the armed forces.
  3. If anyone thought Russia was a near superpower, and Putin was smart, all that presumption has gone out the window. Russia is a antiquated, poor, nearly broken nation, barely able to feed it's own people, much less equip it's army. It is ten times the size of Canada, with a comparable GDP. It is corrupt beyond imagination, and Putin is utterly desperate. Russia is a bad joke.
  4. With a humiliating victory in sight, the corrupt, morally bankrupt army sponsored regime will do anything in it's power, to make sure the playing field is not level, and the election is not fair. Have we seen this before? If they engage in this kind of stunt, the reaction will be swift, fierce and horrific, this time. The people are totally fed up with these ineffective dinosaurs, gouging on cash and prizes. Be gone Cha Cha.
  5. The current administration is as connected to the army, as your arm is connected to your hand.
  6. Paid attendees, no doubt. He just does not have that much support, anymore. He has demonstrated over and over again what a terrible leader he is, and how he does not have the interests of the people at heart. See ya, Cha Cha! Be gone.
  7. The desperados army goons will do anything within their power to avoid a free and fair election, where they will lose by a decisive margin. No doubt the election commission is as corrupt as the army. Woe is Thailand until the dinosaurs are gone for good.
  8. How are the banks able to get away with charging so much interest on loans, when the benchmark rate is so low? Seems felonious.
  9. Sounds like he is in very bad shape. What a nightmare for his family. Bizarre that his friends pull glass out of his throat. That is basic medic 101 stuff. Never remove an object from the throat, without the help of a medical expert. Never, ever. Wonder what the actual circumstances were. The pothole story has alot of holes in it. Was he a skilled driver? Was he wearing a high quality helmet? Was he sober? Was another vehicle involved? So many questions.
  10. This is very tragic. No parent should ever have to bury their child. It certainly appears to be murder, most foul. Let us hope the superior minds at the RTP are able to solve this case soon.
  11. Never, ever hesitate to put a dumb, ignorant, nosy or inane person in their place. Good on you. Stupid is stupid.
  12. We are the great Thai army. We are the noble ones. See how much great work we did in the past 9 years. You should let us rule for life. We love the power and the perks, and you are only lowly citizens. You are not important. Your well being is not important. We are important. Listen to us, and do not defy our will. Don't you understand these simple principals?
  13. Yep. I decided it was a quality of life issue, and bowing down to the surly demands of lowly, arrogant government officials was not how I wanted to spend my time. It was a good decision.
  14. Good points. As a Westerner I can accept blame, apologize for an offense caused and take responsibility for my actions. No big deal. I care not one iota if I "lose face". Means less than zero to me what others think of me. Some will say it is a cultural difference. True. But, what about the deeper aspects of self esteem and having enough of it to be able to act like a man? A real man accepts responsibility for problems he has caused. When that is being constantly deflected due to a pathological fear of looking bad in the eyes of others, that creates enormous problems for society. I despise the practice of face, and think it is the single greatest weakness of many Thai people. Many years ago my motorbike was parked outside of a bar, and some fool drove by trying to squeeze in between an oncoming car and the bikes. He smashed into about 5 bikes. Then he got up and drove away. I asked the bartender if she recognized him and she said, yeah we all know who he is. The police found him within an hour. We met at the police station. I told him exactly what I thought of him. That he was not a man. That he was a tiny coward for running away. That he was not raised correctly and was a loser. He was shocked. Guess nobody had ever told him the truth before. He was obviously an overly coddled creep. He even asked me to lie to his insurance company about what happened. I told him that I was not going to help him with his failed life. That was on him.
  15. Let us hope this was an accident. If not, it was an unspeakable crime against humanity.
  16. Encourage her to keep asking questions, and challenging her teachers. They need to be challenged, as they are a big part of the problem. The biggest part of the problem is the government's desire NOT to improve education. Support the elite and keep labor prices low, by keeping the people poorly educated.
  17. We will. No we won't. Yes, we will and it will be more. Oh, I guess we shouldn't. Maybe we should. Should we get advice? Oh, it might hurt tourism. Really? We hadn't thought of that before. Now we won't. Guess it was a bad idea, after all. Maybe we are not genius minds. Maybe we are bottom of the barrel selections, as some have indicated.
  18. They keep saying they want more tourism, after Prayuth, Phiphat and Anutin nearly destroyed the entire industry with their extreme cowardice. Not the SOITF (shoot ourselves in the foot) gang continues to get it wrong. Hope they are ousted asap. Woe is Thailand with the goons in charge.
  19. I disagree. I think the acceptance of, and practice of face weakens Thai society to an astonishing degree.
  20. It is incumbent upon us to demonstrate survival skills at all times. Crossing any road without looking is just the most egregious and negligent sort of mistake. In Los Angeles they have strong pedestrian laws. Drivers are ticketed for not allowing a pedestrian to cross. Yet, I see people walking right into flowing traffic at crosswalks without so much as a glance. Some of them die. Oh well. It is a bit like taking fentanyl. You have to know it can kill you. At least have a glance. Geez.
  21. Very suspicious timing for these fake numbers to come out. I don't see anything dropping in price. Do you? Not in Thailand, not in the US. Fake army sponsored news. Total malarkey as they say in NY.
  22. Sorry. Not buying it. I don't care how high one gets. Stabbing oneself in the chest is crazy rare. Not impossible, but unlikely. He might have fallen on a sharp object, or?
  23. Which one? Don't drink, or don't cross the street with greet care?
  24. 1. How was she able to get away with staying without paying? I don't think I have ever stayed at a hotel, without paying in advance. 2. Why are the owners of the hotel behaving so poorly? Making the staff pay for new sheets? Most foul, indeed. Very toxic people. 3. What does her beauty have to do with anything?
  25. Crossing the road is very serious business in Thailand. No regard is given to pedestrians. One must do so without extreme care. Especially if one has been drinking.
