  1. Extreme cowardice and total moral bankruptcy has a price, being outed as a coward has a price, perhaps Thailand will be called to account and perhaps their lack of morality will begin to cause them enough embarrassment, enough humiliation, and enough shame, to force them into doing the right thing.
  2. Plenty of examples. President Trump is wrongly criminalizing anyone his administration suspects lacks legal status, leaving them susceptible to arrest by law enforcement. These cruel immigration enforcement actions have already resulted in reports of veterans and U.S citizens being detained, Native American Tribal members’ identities being questioned, deportations of pregnant women and children, and the detention of a father of U.S. citizen children who may now lose their home, to give just a few examples. The Trump administration’s approach rejects a commonsense prioritization of enforcement resources, directing the time and resources of law enforcement away from public safety threats to instead carry out “collateral arrests” of hardworking people who pose no danger to American communities. This ineffective immigration enforcement strategy is tearing families apart while making the country less safe. https://www.americanprogress.org/article/trumps-rash-immigration-actions-place-cruelty-and-spectacle-above-security/
  3. Not yet, anyway. Just wait until they get in the way of Trump's multi-billion dollar resort development on the Gaza Coast.
  4. Did you forget that he's defense secretary? Doesn't the buck have to stop somewhere, or does that not apply to this administration? Wouldn't he be essentially the overseer for this type of communication? Many of his communications were included in these messages, don't you think that he has some responsibility for this massive breach of security?
  5. Though I agree with you fundamentally, and I do despise woke and PC policy, Trump's press secretary kicking members of the media out of the room because they don't ask nice questions is not exactly how I would define free speech, would you?
  6. I disagree I think the greatest risk to the US dollar right now is a man named Donald Trump, and his hugely ignorant policies.
  7. There you go again. You just can't help yourself.
  8. You are correct and I think it's safe to say that Trump is the most thin skinned, sensitive, revengeful, and reactionary president America has ever seen. Hopefully, looking towards the future a mistake of this proportion will never happen again.
  9. Thank you, that is very kind of you. I've always considered it to be an enormous compliment when people have asked me if I was gay.
  10. No what is really pathetic and very predictable is the right coming to the defense of people who have committed egregious errors, compromised the nation's security and done far worse than what Hillary did with her email servers, and yet nobody is willing to hold anyone to task for this. This is so typical of Trump and his groupies, it is truly getting to the point where it's a pathetic level of fealty, on a daily basis. Anyone will now say anything to excuse the mistakes, the confusion, and the bad behavior. Where is the dignity in that, and why the complete unwillingness to be critical?
  11. Well if you're insinuating the Elon is Trump's boss, you very well might be correct.
  12. A rather fascinating phenomena is taking place right now. I'm a lifelong Democrat and during the 20 years of the Clinton, Obama and Biden Administrations I was openly critical of a multitude of their policies. Right now that does not seem to be possible with the average Republican, criticism is out the window, total support, absolute fealty, and complete obedience to the most ridiculous policies imaginable are now the M.O. for the average Trump supporter. It is a spectacularly pathetic thing to witness and it's downright embarrassing as an American.
  13. That was definitely, 100% classified information, in many countries Hapless Hesgeth would now be facing a firing squad, at the very minimum he should be fired and imprisoned. Of course that won't happen because Trump truly believes that he's above any and all laws.
  14. Hundreds of millions of people will never have a positive attitude about this absolute creep and lifelong criminal, yes he did win the election and time is bearing out the fact that this was an enormous tragedy for both the US and the world. He is definitely not the man that you thought he was.
  15. In my opinion successive administrations have spent 75 years avoiding any sort of plan that included the proper movement of cargo, they should have had rail systems in place with major cargo transport for decades now, and instead you have trucks of all sizes plying a very limited number of highways and causing massive amounts of congestion and very slow moving traffic. This is an abomination and falls on the tiny shoulders of many successive PMs. The only solution I can see would be to build double decker highways throughout the entire nation with toll roads on the top and free roads on the bottom, but it's quite likely Thailand simply does not have the money for this. One solution would be to accept help from the Chinese, get a massive Belt and Road initiative loan, have the Chinese solve the problem within a year or two, and then default on the loan, like every other country in that program.
  16. Heads should be rolling and the top officers of this construction company should be in jail. This project is a decade behind schedule and was not only an badly planned, but continues to be an embarrassment to the Thai nation. This is the main artery in and out of Bangkok for God's sake, get your act together people! the fact that this project has been so poorly managed and is so far behind schedule is an abomination.
  17. This is a very bad idea for a number of reasons, and I don't have anything against casinos in general. Number one the Chinese government has explicitly warmed Thailand, and the small gal that they will and discourage their citizens from visiting the country if there are casinos. Number two successive governments tend to change and there is a chance that this plan will be withdrawn later with a successive administration, leaving many casinos completely abandoned, which happened in next door Sihanoukville, and it was absolutely tragic.
  18. Well thank you for that reply, that was most helpful. She has no tattoos and she presents very well. But she is Asian.
  19. If you're running a booming business I suppose you can get away with raising prices a bit, but it's never good idea to cut the portion sizes. Thais are very sensitive to this kind of thing, they love to eat and everybody notices a smaller portion. It's bad behavior and it's a good way to lose customers permanently. If your business is already struggling the last thing in the world you should be doing is raising your prices. There is no doubt the economy here is hurting and a lot of people are struggling to get by.
  20. No. Trump has been incredibly careless, his policies are very misguided, his arrogance knows no bounds, and it's very possible that he will run the US economy into the ground. The US is becoming less relevant by the day, and though that has been happening for a long time, he is a major architect of the further demise. Contrary to the reasoning of many Trump supporters this is not a negotiating tactic, this is absolute insanity, and friends and allies around the world are reacting with both horror and defiance. The defiance will simply build and the US will come become increasingly more isolated, which they richly deserve due to the fact that they elected this absolutely reckless goombah. This is a wet dream for China. My guess is that the top dogs in China are busting open bottles of 1982 Lafite, celebrating Trump's mistakes, and America's demise. Talk about low intelligence goons playing right into their hands .
  21. Hesgeth and Waltz should both be fired, and they should quite possibly face prison sentences for this rather reckless breach of security. In some countries they would be facing a firing squad. Neither of them are even close to being qualified for their positions and this is simply a reflection that they are completely out of their league.
  22. I'm scheduled to go back to the US next month with my Thai wife she has a 10-year multiple entry visa, and she's been to the US several times. We've never had any problems before, however now that the goon is showing his racist and isolationist tendencies and discriminating against people from many nations and randomly denying them entry into the US, I wonder how concerned I should be? Has anybody had any experience with this in regard to their Thai spouse gaining entry into the US within the last month or two?
  23. It's becoming increasingly apparent just how incredibly sloppy and hugely ignorant this sorry administration is. Generally when you hire from the bottom of the barrel this is the kind of result you get. Will somebody please share the contact information of these officials many of us would like to give them a piece of our mind. Especially Hegseth. He was the worst appointment for his position, in history. He should have stuck with his lower level Fox News position.
  24. I only time I carry my original passport if I am going to immigration, if I have a significant bank transaction or if I'm entering or leaving the country. Otherwise I carry a color copy of my passport with a color copy of my current visa page on the back, in my wallet and that's always sufficient along with a Thai driver's license or a pink card for hotels and such. Never been an issue.
  25. There seem to be a lot of mentions of the fact that the women are not as beautiful as they used to be, the reality is that women have gotten bigger and they have gotten older when it comes to the massage parlors and the bars. But there are still a ridiculous number of super fine women in Thailand. The big difference is that nowadays the 9's that we used to pick up in the bars are working as escorts making 20,000 to 70,000 baht for a few hours of their time, when they used to earn 1,500 baht for an evening. They now have infinitely more options if they're young and super fine than they used to have, and they're no longer selling themselves for paltry amounts of money. In general there are more wealthy guys out there and I've talked to guys who travel the world and are accustomed to spending $2,000 every time they hire an escorts, whether it's New York, Paris, London or Bangkok. So, things have changed alot. For us, and for the really fine gals.
