  1. The Russians are coming. The Russians have come. Bad news for Thailand. Many seem to be bad actors, and don't seem capable of playing nice, or being civil. I think it is a reflection of the current culture. It was destroyed over a century of callous and murderous leadership. Stalin, Lenin, Khruschev, now Putin. They have become somewhat savage and crude. No grace, no finesse, no courtesy. Rather uncivilized. My family was from Russia a few generations back. I used to ask my great-grandmother when she was still around, why they didn't teach us anything about the old country. She would give me this look, and tell me "the reason we never teach you about the place we came from, is because the place we came from was the most horrific country on earth, it was the most destitute, horrible, oppressive place and we were thrilled to finally get out of there and leave it behind. That's why we don't teach you about the old country, the old country doesn't exist for us. There are a multitude of reasons why very few around the world have sympathy for the Russians. Those reasons are not limited to their serial killing, despot, thieving multi billionaire dictator for life. It is more about their nature, their history as ruthless, homicidal Cossack warriors, and their total lack of manners, and class. Not to mention the dignity, class, decency, civility, and social skills decades of Leninism, Stalinism, and now Putinism have stripped them of. And of course, the utter failure of their leader. This is a clear case of psychological projection: Putin dreamt and failed to create a dollar-free world and establish Russia as an “energy superpower.” He allowed corruption to metastasize through the state’s fabric, undermining its security capabilities. With its mass emigration, skyrocketing divorce rate, and low fertility, Russia, more than the West, demonstrates an immense collapse of family and social values. Russia has nothing but malicious intentions. They are a terrorist state, run by a serial killing desperado. This is a nation so lacking in redeeming qualities. They contributed alot culturally, in past centuries. Now? What are they bringing to the table? How are they of any benefit to mankind? They offer nothing but misery, death, destruction and bad will.
  2. Sounds like you're either not American or you just don't know much about the country. I would like to see you try to get an American to work at McDonald's, in anything other than a managerial position. The least understood aspect of all this anti-immigrant hysteria is that most Americans are not interested and not willing to do the kind of work that these immigrants do. Unemployment is very low, these immigrants are not taking jobs away from Americans, that's just an extremely ignorant Trump talking point and racist sloganeering.
  3. Apply for legal status that's a good one, that's the joke of the day, for sure. It is very obvious you know very little about the American immigration system and how broken the legal immigration system is.
  4. It's not going to happen, they've been talking about this for 15 years. AirAsia actually signed a contract with the government of Prayuth, and the government reneged, so it remains one of the least utilized airports in Asia, and I expected to stay that way. It would be a great alternative to the massive congestion of Bangkok, but nobody smart enough or progressive enough seems to be able to figure this one out.
  5. This is correct, he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth, but the same could be said about J. D. (just dull) Vance. I haven't seen him in ages and chances are we won't see him much during this administration either.
  6. Being first lady for another 4 years must feel like a funeral to her, she certainly looks like she's attending one. So is the nation.
  7. Sounds like he will be deporting many of the people that he and his cronies need to work in their factories and companies. Some of these people are honest, hardworking folks who are in the US legally. This will backfire on Trump and will likely be another one of his countless failed policies. Speaking at a December event, Homan criticized Johnson and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, stating, “Chicago is in trouble because your mayor sucks and your governor sucks.” Just another simple minded official wearing his power with dignity and grace. Trump sure knows how to pick trash from the bottom of the barrel.
  8. Helmets are always a good idea and for those of us the ride we should use the best one that we can afford. They do save lives, however as a motorcyclist I can say that you always want to avoid trees, telephone poles, and concrete barriers such as an overpass. They are very unyielding and they usually result in something rather horrific.
  9. I don't often agree with Thaksin, but Prawit is one of the most toxic figures in the Thai political landscape in the last several decades, and the coup set Thailand back at least 20 years. He should be imprisoned or exiled, he is a dark toxic mass.
  10. No, no, no, no. Don't come here, it is not what they say it is, please don't come. The area does not need additional tourism, the area needs to stay exactly how it is.
  11. This Chinese should not only not be allowed visa free entry, they should be subject to additional scrutiny and the same applies to Russians. There's a huge Chinese and Russian criminal element here in Thailand, and this sad, pathetic, incompetent administration is partially responsible for it, with it's desperately liberal visa policy.
  12. There's just no excuse for something like this, all pit bulls and for that matter all dogs who attack people should be put down within 24 hours. No excuses, no appeals, just take them out! Prioritizing dogs over humans is the very essence of insanity. In addition cities should be engaging in massive culling of soi dogs, they're mangy, many are nasty beasts, they live miserable lives, and we should be taking them out of their misery.
  13. People forget Fauci deliberately suppressed the first round of drugs created for people with HIV, resulting in countless deaths from AIDS. He was a military scientist and was involved in the Wuhan lab for decades. Nobody has any idea the extent to which this man has engaged in nefarious activity. Then the vaccine push. And the total rejection of anyone who questioned anything about the narrative. I could go on.
  14. They are advanced on many levels. What really holds the nation back is the lack of civil rights, law and order, an honest judiciary, fair elections, massive corruption at every level, a total lack of regard for the environment, traffic and public safety. And a total lack of reform on any level. I could go on.
  15. He isn't. He is at least semi senile, semi insane and suffering major cognitive decline. He is way too old to be president.
  16. Did anyone notice the row of billionaires taking a knee for the new king of America? And he claims he represents the people. That is a funny one.
  17. They don't deserve it. They consistently demonstrate a callous and inhumane attitude toward political refugees. The government here is toxic and heartless. They should have been denied. This demonstrates how weak and pathetic the UN truly is.
  18. Bad idea. The administrations here are so inconsistent with policy, anyone who was considering investing in one should see a psychiatrist. Billions could be lost. Just look at Cambodia and Sihanoukville for a lesson in this folly.
  19. As a Democrat, I despise PC. And it is just one of the reasons why the Dems totally failed in the recent election. And I also hate social justice authoritarianism. I think it represents alot of what is wrong with contemporary culture, and especially America today. It is a major form of weakness, when you allow yourself to be easily offended, and take everything personally. Granted, there are things that can be perceived as offensive, but allowing yourself to be offended by tiny little things people say and do is a bit much! But, the people who are offended daily, by things others say, are just weak, and would benefit by growing thicker skin. Life can be rough and caustic at times, and for those of us who have grown thick skin, it is like water off a ducks back. No big deal, at all. Think what you want to think. It just does not mean anything to those with self esteem, and a sense of who and what they are. Granted, these are just my opinions, and some will take offense to them. LOL. The US is by far the most tolerant country in the world when it comes to the whole trans, non-binary, amorosexual, decide whatever you want today, if it fits mentality. No other country is as loose, driftless, and as silly as the US. Except perhaps the UK. The notion that political correctness has “gone mad” is familiar to anyone who follows even vaguely any aspect of modern political or cultural life. The phrase, ostensibly referring to language or action that is designed to avoid offence or harm to protected groups, has become a sharp criticism. It is synonymous with a sort of cultural McCarthyism, usually committed by the left. https://www.economist.com/open-future/2018/09/10/has-political-correctness-gone-too-far A Rasmussen poll found that 71 percent of Americans think political correctness is a problem today. When is being politically correct more about civility and politeness? When when does it veer into censorship? When is it justified? When is it not justified? https://www.jacksonville.com/opinion/2016-09-30/has-political-correctness-gone-too-far
  20. Lesson #1. Don't let strangers on the street touch you, much less hug you. Especially ladyboys, who are notorious for their propensity to commit crimes of desperation.
  21. A completely ridiculous response to an overstay. Total over reach. And since Thailand is being appointed to the international human rights council of the UN, perhaps they can start demonstrating some consideration for the rights of individuals.
  22. Ones that have a bit of intellectual retardation are always equating hatred of Don Don, or dislike of him, or disapproval of his policies with hatred of America. It's about as ridiculous as calling someone a Jew hater because they criticize extremist Israeli policy. It's just a pure meme without any intellectual power behind it.
  23. Saint Donald. Total revisionist history, a complete reformation of his entire career, and a total erasure of his past crimes, moral terpitude, and a total and complete willingness to overlook a lifetime of moral bankruptcy. I do have some friends that will come right out and say the man is a butthead, he's an idiot, and he's an absolute clown, but I like his policies. Those are the Republicans I admire.
  24. People tend to forget the past so fast so just in case here's a reminder. 17 of his businesses have failed in the past few decades. Some at huge losses. Trump Steaks, Trump Shuttle Airline ($120 million in losses between 1988 and 1990), GoTrump, Trump Vodka, Trump Mortgage, Trump University, Trump Ice, The New Jersey Generals, Tour de Trump, Trump Network, Trump Magazine, Trumped!. Many businesses that licensed his name went bankrupt, or went out of business. And he had between four and six major bankruptcies (depending on the source), including the Trump Taj Mahal (which he spent $1.2 billion building, and was $3 billion in debt within a year of opening), Trump's Castle, Trump Place Hotel (which was very successful prior to Trump buying it in 1988, and he managed to put it into $550 million in debt by 1992!), Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts ($1.8 billion in debt by 2004, bankrupt in 2009) , and Trump Entertainment Resorts. There are likely others. And this does not take into account the 3,600 lawsuits he was involved in as of the time he took office, the vast majority of which were filed by small contractors against his companies for non payment, or total default. Many of these contractors were crushed. It is part of his M.O. Promises made but never kept: Every voter needs to be reminded of Trump's promises last time he was running: There is very little that comes out of Donald's mouth that is the truth..... He promised to cut the deficit. He added $8T. He promised to build a wall. He only did 458 miles out of 2,000. Most of it was repair or replacement, not new. He promised to make Mexico pay. They didn't. We did. He promised to unveil a new healthcare plan. It didn't exist. He promised a middle-class tax cut. He cut taxes for the rich. The middle class is paying for it. He said he wouldn't play golf as President. He made 250 visits (way more than Obama) to his own golf clubs. It cost taxpayers $150 million. He said he'd increase economic growth by 4%. Nope. Biden did. He promised an infrastructure plan. He had none. President Biden signed a massive one. He promised to hire "the best people." He fired 3/4 of them and then said they were the worst ever, and they said HE was in fact the worst ever. He promised to bring down the price of prescription drugs. He didn't: Biden did. He promised a Hillary lock-up. Nope Promised we'd win the trade war with China. Nope, It cost about 250,000 jobs and hurt Americans, not help them. He promised his corporate tax cuts would help and benefit Workers, and corporations would use that money to invest in American workers. They didn't, they used that money to buy back stocks. He promised to revive the coal industry. Never happened: more coal jobs were lost during his presidency.
