I just got my new b east up and running and found that homegroup has been removed from Windows 10 because Micro soft says you don't need it.  I tried to follow the directions on the net but can't get it to work.  On bothe computers I entered Control Panel a made the same settings:

Network and sharing center

     Advanced Sharing Settings

          Turn on network discovery

          Turn on file & printer sharing

          Use 128 bit encryption

          Turn off password protected sharing

     Devices & Printers

          Printer Properties

          Sharing tab    

               Share this printer

               Render print jobs on client computer

Both computers are connected to my TOT modem via ethernet cable and are on the public network  I'll change to private if I get it working.  Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?  Now that Homegroup has been eliminated from Windows 10 can you not network windows 7 and 10

 As far as the trons be smarter than me I've been in a battle with them for about two months.  I addition to the new TV which repalced a very old Dumb plasma TV, I decided to build a new computer which has been a real learning experience .  I used the Ryzen5 3400G with embedded graphics  and getting a defective MB out of the box along with Bios that, according to the compatibility list, should have worked which doesn't and communicating with the distributor in Bangkok and sending bits back and forth, I live in a remote area of Nakhon Sawan province.  Also mounting the 55" TV  to a swing arm attached to the wall was kinda a chore especially hanging the TV on  the arm by myself.

I have two, one is a smart TV the other one is not.  Both have a fire stick because fire sticks are IMO more functional, and when they become obsolete, you can simply throw them out and replace them with a new one, also have voice recognition and are compatible with my Alexa echo dot. 

Anyway, I like the TV that is not smart better, because I don't need a remote control to start it, and change the input to the port that the fire stick is connected to.

I can simply say "Alexa turn bedroom TV" then say "Alexa play CNN on bedroom TV"   The other smart TV I have to find the remote control, then press a button, some times get out on the couch. 

I know , we are getting so spoiled right LOL.

I just  bought a LG smart TV with voice recognition but don't intend to use it.  When I start talking to my light bulbs and TV I'll know that it times to go out in the orchard and dig a six foot deep hole and lay down in it and yell COVER ME!

Series?  I doubt it!  Take the first light bulb in the "string" out, do all of the rest of the bulbs go out?  If they remain on they are not in series.

Most likely reminded by his attorney that lying to congress was a federal offense and had to chose between Trump and a possible stay at the cross bar hotel. IMHO he made the right choice.  People are saying that even if it was quid pro quo it was not an impeachable offense, but bribery and extortion are definitely crimes and are impeachable offenses.

I was talking about a proper GPS in all of those eCommerce delivery vehicles.  Where I live getting a delivery from anybody other than Kerry Express or EMS is a real chore and if they had a GPS and I gave them the coordinates of my house 60% of the problem would be over.  The other v40% is attributed to shear laziness.

Most of the Thais know the name and location of all of the local temples so they can ask and get directions from them.  I basicallytell them the name of the Temple and to call me when they get there.

Yep!  If you can find that gradual 180 degree joint that's the thing to use.  I made mine out of 90 degree elbows and the one, oand only time,  That the water was running slow it was a bitch to get a hose through it to clean it out but I finally did.

My two bathrooms are back to back and the drains are connercted under the flooring> put the trap on the outside where it could be dug up if necessary.  Where I live in the middle of corn and sugar cane fields , the klast house on a dirt and gravel road there are no building codes.  If there are no one enforces them as I didn't even have to get a building permit.  When it came to hooking up the electric, fortunately the lastb pole on the road is/was in front of my house, they gave us the meter screwed to a board and long bolts to attach it to the pole.  The local sparky installed it.  PEA did come out and look at the installation after the house was finished before they lowered the rates.

If you are a Yank, like me,  make sure that you get your absentee ballot. The most important states, that threw Trump over the line, were Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Trump won those states by 0.2, 0.7 and 0.8 percentage points, respectively, mostly due to the Democratic "couch potato, attitude on election day since all of the polls had Clinton as a shoe in!  Laziness in 2020 could have us posting about Trump for another four years.

I used to be a Republican when the party promoted policies that I believed in but now the GOP promotes whatever Trump tweets in the morning that could change by the end of the day.  My uncle actually was a four term Senator from Delaware.  Now I would support anybody that had some values since Trump's only concerns is himself.

When I built my house 20 years ago I made my own trap and put it in the drain pipe outside of the house where it could be dug up if it got clogged.  As said that was 20 years ago and there have been no clogs or stinky bathrooms.  Also keeps the critters out.

Passion Delivery has some nice imported steaks that are  good, tender and EXPENSIVE!  If I buy Thai beef it usually ends up in the meat grinder or a roasted boneless sirloin cooked rare that is sluiced on a meat slicer very thin, shaved, and used for sandwiches..  If you are going to grill Thai beef, save some money and grill your flip flop!

I,m American and have lived here for 22 years and, with few exceptions, I have always felt welcome here. Many years ago the fish monger at the weekly walking market used to tell me to "go home", in English, when he saw me, now he has gotten used to the farang and even tries to give me free fish sometimes.  Whenever I get aggravated I think about what would happen if I was Thai and went to DMV in Kansas and tried to communicate with the clerk with my broken English and got louder and louder because they didn't understand me and didn't speak English.  Or if I was an African American US citizen, born and raised in the US, living in Picayune Mississippi and asked the idiot that butted in front of me in Piggly Wioggly to go to the back of the line.

It's not all that bad.  Since I live in the sticks the first thing that I would do is make sure all of the logistics companies  had GPS!  It's aggravating to order anything that is not sent either EMS or Kerry Express ( I trained them years ago how to find my house).  I send them maps and directions but in the end the  driver calls and with my broken Thai I can usually get them to the temple near me and pick it up!

I used to have a bar on Soi  green Mango in Samui from 1997 to 2004.  If somebody skipped out at the Mango the crew would follow him down the Soi until he got to a dark area.  There were usually 3 or 4 of them, the smallest in the rear, carrying the "punch", a 12" to 15" steel pipe filled with concrete.
