  1. With the CCP's determination for world dominance at any cost, it is difficult to feel sympathy when bad things happen there. However, it is sad that it is usually the the poor and the innocent that usually suffer the worst.
  2. Never surrender. Never give up. May the force be with the MFP.
  3. Certainly more guns and more traffic. More people speak English. My Filipino girlfriend was more affectionate and more friendly. Unfortunately, to more people. ????
  4. There will be a case for FMP to say that he cannot stand for PM until his case his heard? Only Anutin left then.
  5. Very sad if so but unfortunately, very likely. Next - decriminalise yabba?
  6. Good luck to MFP. Politicians with morals. Very rare here.
  7. Wifi on my phone always off. No apps other than the Samsung ones that I cannot delete. ???? Mind you, I too could be 'scammed' with the International SMS's that hit you, except that my AIS package has unlimited SMS. Cloning a phone these days is all too easy for the technical savvy criminals.
  8. From what I see and hear in Thailand, it is unlikely to be demolished. Near my place, there are at least a dozen villas all built on hillside (illegally) and on agricultural land that should not allow a building permit. Somehow (?) the land titles all seem to be chanote. The DSI are involved and said that the land titles are all fake and are to be revoked. The villas are still there. Resale may be a bit of an issue though.
  9. Not for all workers. Just for government employees and banks etc.
  10. Maybe the warehouse was there first and the houses came afterwards? (Because of the jobs.) We have no way of knowing. ????
  11. The election that brought the red shirts to power was an (almost) fair, democratic election. Just the usual vote buying by ALL parties. Thaksin's government then went on to deliver his pledges to the supporters. (Mostly rural, poorer Thais.) As Thais at the time said to me "He may be corrupt - they all are, but he is the first that has helped me, my family and our village." Now that sounds a bit like democracy to me.
  12. You are talking about the whole current (almost outgoing) government there. Why pick on just one person? At least Thaksin did something for the poor people in Thailand. All (military) governments since then have just been lining the pockets of the rich.
  13. Yes they did. Unfortunately, there was no budget to maintain it. ????
