Investors Warned of Metaverse Land Price Bubble
Tropicalevo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News Headlines
I thought that people were dumb to buy coins that do not exist. Then there were pieces of art that do not exist. But to 'invest' in land that does not exist? The lunatics are now running the asylum.- 27 replies

Thai PM admits he may have misjudged rapper Milli
Tropicalevo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News Headlines
You have missed the interesting bit. Her 'songs' criticise the government - especially the PM. She has been fined for spreading fake news and is being sued by Prayut for 'slander'. He is trying to put her in prison!- 50 replies

Wrongful Dismissal
Tropicalevo replied to stament's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
That may be true as long as the employee is up to date with Social Security payments. I have had an issue or two that were with the labour office and they have been fair, but I am dealing with Thai staff. I do not employ foreigners. -
Thank you khunPer, I had not thought of them. I will check them out next time.

Thanks for that VocalNeil. Yes, I had considered it but when I spoke to a good friend who used to work for HP (printer section) she advised against it. It may cause problems for the printer. (May - not will.) As the printer has trundled on for probably 15 years or more, I decided not to risk it. It has outlived newer printers that I have bought and who knows, maybe one day I will install a phone line and use the fax function???

Thanks Neilly. That never came up in my searches on Lazada. Ordered and bookmarked. Let's see how quick they are.

Thanks - I use them as well. Really good guys. Closed last week and when I placed an order this morning, they came back very quickly stating that their suppliers were all out of stock. Always a good response from them. I buy screens and printers from them as well.

There was a topic on this back in the day but it seems to have gone. I am looking for printer ink. Specifically Canon 811 or 81 XL. Usual suspects no have. (PowerBuy, Big C etc) Invade IT no have. Lazada have some dodgy versions. ie no box or Chinese writing. (Not a fan of Shopee.) Any suggestions as to where I can buy the genuine article please?

Most on Koh Samui are still wearing masks. Everyone where I live and work are. Also true in all shops, offices etc etc. The maskless ones are mostly foreign tourists but they also mask up when going into shops. The bit that people are missing is the fact that many people in SE Asia were wearing masks before Covid. Pollution and traffic fumes being the main reason.

No - the parties have been happening for a while. Just no big song and dance about them. This was the first 'official' one. Nope. As at15 mentioned, on KPN most foreigners have been maskless for a while. Never masks at the previous FMP's. Probably why there is an increase in positive Covid cases after the FMP.

Tested positive for covid what now?
Tropicalevo replied to mrmicbkktxl's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
That sums up why the reported positive case numbers are rubbish. I know at least a dozen people who have had Covid - including myself. All self isolated for 10 days at home. It seems that the only ones admitting to being positive are those that need a 'fit to fly' certificate and Thais who want the free medicine and/or possible insurance claims.
