Are you seriously saying that the Myanmar government imports used cars.  Which Myanmar government agency has that responsibility, is there a Used Car Ministry?

IF you noticed I put the word 'Believe' in inverted commas. In other words, I was not sure. However, when visiting in 2019 I questioned the drive of the taxi as to the reason for many of the cars being both left and right hand drive. His answer was that as Myanmar does not manufacture cars they import from other countries, some of which are second hand. So, I was not giving a definitive answer.

Perhaps because Thailand doesn't permit used car imports and no governments, anywhere in the world, import used cars!

Thailand also has a huge new Japanese car-building industry here.

Take a look at Myanmar pre coup. They don't have a car making industry and import cars of either left or right hand drive and I 'believe' some are S/H

Like someone said, if I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of my teeth. I have now lost almost all my molars so chewing food has become quite difficult, so I have two choices, dentures or implants. Implants can involve bone grafts and obviously greater expense, but the idea of dentures doesn't thrill me either, like how long does it take to adapt to them? Anyone else had to make this choice?

Yes, I did. Fortunately it was only 2 teeth on the lower right to start with. It depends on the dentists technician as to the fit. The second time was 2 teeth either side upper and the dentist was great but the dental tech required a lot more training. I refused to pay the second time, different dentist. It was eventually sorted when the dentist found another tech, a much better fitting and more comfortable. I believe dentist should keep photos of the dentures provided, it would give a better idea of what you are getting.

You know when you hand over your passport at a hotel and they fill in your details?, that is regarding TM30 ????

You’ll know about it if you need to extend your visa or try to obtain cert of residence for whatever reason etc.

Been here over 20 years and never had to submit a TM30. If we go to stay out of province or any hotel, my wife checks us in and I have never been asked for my passport. Also have never been asked for a TM30 at Immigration. What is the problem?

Hi all, I suffer with venous insufficiency where my calves and ankles swell and sometimes I get ulcers which are painful but I can deal with these in house, anybody else suffer here with it? I’m based in Khon Kaen and was looking to see if anyone suffering with this can recommend a hospital where the veins can be dealt with, they can remove the vains or cauterize them, this stops blood pooling in the legs as the blood won’t be able to travel down the broken veins, I need a hospital that can do an ultrasound scan of the legs to detect what veins are damaged. I will just paste a copy of a note on the symptoms

Chronic venous insufficiency occurs when your leg veins don't allow blood to flow back up to your heart. Normally, the valves in your veins make sure that blood flows toward your heart. But when these valves don't work well, blood can also flow backwards. This can cause blood to collect (pool) in your legs.

many thanks in advance for all and any help

If as you say the blood is pooling in the legs, are the lower legs RED? If yes, then it is as you say, more than likely venous insufficiency.

A vascular surgeon prescribed Daflon 1000 for 2 months. It didn't do anything.

Yes I had same prescription. Daflon 500, but it didn't seem to help at all......but it was worth a try.

Daflon helps with the circulation and you probably wouldn't notice any changes. However, you may notice a change if you stopped taking it?

You also may have noticed flies don't go on food here, street food vendors don't have a fly problem, i think there's some deal going on

Next time you visit street food vendor, have a look to see if there is any Mint or Parsley hanging up. Flies can't stand the stuff.
