  3. Twitter appears to have limited certain tweets from the official account of representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, after the Georgia Republican unfounded made claims about the Nashville school shooting being a product of “Antifa” and “trans-terrorism.” Ms Greene shared a screenshot from her personal account, showing a notice from Twitter describing how it had temporarily limited her access to the site for violating its rules. In another tweet on Tuesday from her personal account, the Republican accused the site of “whitewash the incitement of politically motivated violence” because it took down a previous post, the previous post described the “Trans Day of Vengeance,” an apparent protest planned for April in Washington and claimed “people need to know about the threat they face from Antifa & trans-terrorism.” https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/twitter-ban-marjorie-taylor-greene-b2309784.html READ MORE NO PAYWALL
  4. The majority of Americans do not want former President Donald Trump to be elected in 2024, while voters remain split on whether he participated in any illegal activity regarding his hush money scandal. A new NPR/Marist poll found that only 38% of national adults want Trump to be president again, while the majority of 61% do not want the Republican to serve another term in office. According to the survey, 76% of Republicans, 34% of independents and 11% of Democrats want Trump to serve another four years in the White House. https://news.yahoo.com/six-10-americans-dont-want-133502391.html
  5. When a Wyoming judge temporarily blocked an abortion ban last week, she did so on karmically beautiful legal grounds: Republicans hated Obamacare so much that they amended the state constitution more than a decade ago to enshrine the right to make health care decisions. Earlier this month, lawmakers in Wyoming passed a ban on abortion “at all stages of pregnancy except in cases of rape or incest that’s reported to police, or to save a woman’s life,” as well as a separate ban on medication abortion. They also threw into the text that they don’t believe abortion is health care, per the Associated Press and the Casper Star Tribune. https://news.yahoo.com/anti-obamacare-law-comes-back-164500668.html
  6. The Disney movie “Ruby Bridges,” which tells the tale of a 6-year-old who integrated New Orleans schools in the 1960s, has been a staple of Pinellas County Black History Month lessons for years. It never caused a stir until this year, as parents across Florida exert increased powers to question what children can see and read in schools. A North Shore Elementary parent who would not allow her child to watch the film when it was shown in early March later complained that it wasn’t appropriate for second graders. https://news.yahoo.com/removal-ruby-bridges-film-pinellas-100000339.html
  7. Off topic troll post removed EDIT: Another troll post reported and removed making unsubstantiated claims
  8. From 15 April only verified subscribers will have posts recommended to other users and be allowed to vote in polls. Under the policy, posts from non-paying accounts will not be included in the "For you" stream of recommended tweets. Last week, the firm said it would remove the verified status of some "legacy" accounts, which date from before Mr Musk bought the firm. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-65095684

  10. The internal tension between some of Fox News’ biggest names has been made public in recent weeks — and it seems that some staffers are now willing to dish on what exactly has been going on behind the scenes. According to a report from Mediaite, many of the network’s hosts and employees are becoming increasingly hostile toward the network’s biggest star, Tucker Carlson. Sources indicated to Mediaite that no one at the network “has control” over Carlson, and staff outside of the channel’s “entertainment” programming have begun refusing to cover his primetime exploits, including his absurd rewriting of the Jan. 6 riot in the U.S. Capitol. https://news.yahoo.com/fox-news-division-refused-promote-194810720.html
  11. The U.S. Department of State released its annual Country Reports on Human Rights Practices covering 198 countries and territories around the globe. State Department employees in Washington and around the globe compile the detailed individual reports with input from human rights defenders, nongovernmental and international organizations, lawmakers, scholars, journalists, legal experts and labor activists. “The goal of this report is not to lecture or to shame,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said March 20 when announcing the release of the report, “rather, it is to provide a resource for those individuals working around the world to safeguard and uphold human dignity when it’s under threat in so many ways.” https://share.america.gov/us-report-documents-human-rights-abuses-2022/
  12. As the Claremont Institute launched its new office in Tallahassee last month, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis rolled out the red carpet. DeSantis met with the leadership of the right-wing think tank, posing for pictures. His wife and closest political adviser Casey tweeted out congratulations. The get-together showcased a budding partnership between DeSantis and members of the Claremont Institute, whose leaders are now championing and working with DeSantis. https://www.vice.com/en/article/y3wz9b/claremont-institute-desantis
  13. The Duke of Sussex has unexpectedly appeared at the High Court as legal proceedings begin in a privacy case. Prince Harry and other individuals are suing Associated Newspapers Ltd (ANL), publishers of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday. 14. You missed an important piece from that article: "However, other research has found evidence of an increase in tornado power. While there have been no long-term trends in the frequency of tornadoes, there have been changes in tornado patterns in recent years. Research has shown that there are fewer days with at least one tornado but more days with over thirty, even as the total number of tornadoes per year has remained relatively stable. In other words, tornado events are becoming more clustered."
  15. "Tiger King" Joe "Exotic" Maldonado discussed his 2024 presidential run from prison and responded to critics who labeled his campaign a "big joke" on "Cross Country." Despite being incarcerated for a murder-for-hire plot and animal violations, Maldonado told Lawrence Jones he has a chance at taking the White House just as much as any other legal candidate. "It's my constitutional right to do this. It doesn't matter what people think," Maldonado said in response to critics of his campaign. https://www.foxnews.com/media/tiger-king-joe-exotic-someone-ask-questions-people-work-their-butts-off-our-country
  16. Billionaire Twitter CEO Elon Musk valued his company at less than half the price he purchased it for in a stock option offer to employees last week. Musk gave stock grants to employees in an email earlier this month that valued the company at roughly $20 billion, a far cry from the $44 billion he purchased the company for last year, according to the Wall St. Journal. "I see a clear, but difficult, path to a >$250B valuation," Musk wrote in the email announcing the grants, Twitter responded to a press inquiry from Fox Business with a poop emoji. https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/elon-musk-values-twitter-less-than-half-44b-price-tag-offer-employees
  17. Deflection troll post and reply removed. This topic is not about abortions, transgenders or making unsubstantiated claims about them.
  18. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida regulators over the last year punished more than a dozen abortion providers for violating a nearly decade-old law that requires pregnant patients wait 24 hours before getting the procedure. Florida legislators approved the law in 2015, but it remained in limbo after the American Civil Liberties Union challenged it. After a judge upheld the law in April, Florida’s abortion regulator, the Agency for Health Care Administration, almost immediately began issuing fines. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/03/26/florida-abortion-law-ban-00088815
  19. Friends close to Prince Andrew have hit out at reports that he is planning to write a memoir. On Sunday, a number of newspapers claimed that the Duke of York was in talks to produce a tell-all autobiography, following the success of Prince Harry’s book ‘Spare’. However, friends of his family have taken the unusual step to make his views known following the reports. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/royal-family/prince-andrew-autobiography-harry-spare-b2308191.html
  20. Russian President Vladimir Putin planned a “total cleansing” of Ukraine with “house-to-house terror” to subdue its people, leaked spy documents reportedly show. Chilling emails from within Russia’s FSB intelligence service talk about orders “from the very top” for civilians to be taken to concentration camps in a bid to conquer Ukraine. The emails were leaked by a source within the FSB to Russian human rights activist Vladimir Osechkin, who founded Gulagu, a website that highlights the conditions in the country’s prison system, the US Sun reported. https://nypost.com/2023/03/25/putin-wanted-total-cleansing-of-ukraine-leaked-spy-docs-show/

  22. A trio of House Republican committee chairs say the House of Representatives could soon take up legislation to strip state and local prosecutors of the authority to prosecute former presidents in response to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s potential indictment of former president Donald Trump. In a letter to Mr Bragg, House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan, Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, and House Administration Committee Chair Bryan Steil rejected arguments the Manhattan prosecutor gave in response to the trio’s demand that he give evidence before their panels about the ongoing investigation into Mr Trump. Mr Bragg’s probe could result in the twice-impeached ex-president becoming the first former US chief executive to face criminal charges over hush money payments he made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016. https://www.aol.com/news/gop-weighs-protecting-trump-law-203055460.html
  23. Source: German news outlet t-online, citing information from security services and open data. The Russian Ministry of Defence said that the Soobrazitelny corvette and the Yaroslav Mudry frigate were escorting the convoy of ships for training purposes. Quote: "Experts have suspected that mini-submarines could have initially placed explosive charges on the pipelines. If it were confirmed that the SS-750 was at the scene, the Russian Navy would now be the main suspect," the portal notes. https://news.yahoo.com/russian-warships-were-near-nord-092639917.html
