No letter from embassy/closed land borders was all I put for my reasons to stay. I guess that they looked at my "usual" snowbird routine and figured I could not make my "normal" arrangements. 60 day extension dated from end of my original TR entry. Thus my final departure date will follow practice of pre-Covid years.

What is selfish is to expect the needs of the really aged few, she was 88 for Christs sake!, to outweigh the needs of the many. The world is not ordered that way. The truth of all the Covid-related "humanitarian" bleating on these pages is that it is, in the main, the self-interested aged/ageing doing the bleating, on their own behalf. A self entitled bunch, certain of their own indespensibility, entering, or in, the re-infantilisation of old age. A time when, once again, it's all about their own wants..........listen to them scream (and read on these pages) when they don't get what they want, just how they like it...........right now. Made all the more extreme by them being from the post war "Me Generation". They've been ******* me off for years, home and here. They're not fooling anyone. Least of all one of their own age group..............me. We're on the way out guys, our time is passed.......grow up and get over it.

Covid extension authenticity
Enoon replied to theghizmo's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It's the same as the stamp I got, in person, today. No mention of Covid anywhere. But......the line ending words are set differently on mine, giving a two line warning instead of three lines in the posted image: HOLDER MUST LEAVE THE KINGDOM WITHIN THE DATE SPECIFIED HEREIN OFFENDERS WILL BE PROSECUTED -
The bag is to retain and concentrate ethene/ethylene: "Bananas make other fruit ripen because they release a gas called ethene (formerly ethylene)," Paper, rather than plastic, to discourage condensation

They should have stuck with the original copy: "Rice go China tric-a-trac".

Pattaya Mayor talks about the future of Walking Street

"partner"? You really haven't done your homework have you? -
There seems to be problem with Thai people, in print/text, using "the" instead of "a". One sees it all the time, ie "passengers must have the ticket for travel" instead of "passengers must have a ticket for travel". My guess is that tourists will be required to book into a hotel, anywhere, for the 5th day test.

Thanathorn apologizes after plagiarism accusation over NFT artwork
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
No, it doesn't infringe copyright. There would only be a copyright issue if the original image was used (without permission) or if the image so closely resembled the original that it might be mistaken for the original. There are too many differnces for the latter to apply. Consequently I doubt very much if the owners of the copywright for this work will be interested in any sort of litigation: "The Light of the World", W Holman Hunt. They might actually be rather pleased/entertained if they understood the context of Ts painting. The issue is, without doubt, a shambolic, and obviously poltically motivated attempt, to undercut the "cause" that T is associated with. it can only do the opposite. -
Are you experiencing “Pandemic Fatigue” here in Thailand?
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Yes, it will become a relatively unthreatening "part of the furniture"..........the writing was on the wall middle of last year. But that was no comfort for those stuck with the basket of chaos that was the Thai regimes "policy" towards it. -

I was in the UK for 18 months. You seem to have spent your 2 months in a very different part of the UK to me (a not at all difficult thing to do) which is why one should always be wary of the definitive "what it's like" statement. The UK is getting about 100k cases a day because it's OMICRON.......y'kna, the one that gives you the sniffles..........hence so many have joined the younger population in "not giving a ****" (as they rightly should not). Oops, nearly forgot the subject of the OP.........for what it's worth I've had the "fatigue" since August in the UK.............arrived back in Thailand early December. -

Roof sealing and painting (too good to be true?)
Enoon replied to MeaMaximaCulpa's topic in DIY Forum
If they are clay/concrete tiles it is highly unlikely that porosity is your problem.
