Foreign teachers no longer required to do an education course
Enoon replied to decline's topic in Teaching in Thailand Forum
You could have done both. I took 3 years off work to earn a degree as a mature student. Received a full Mature Student grant (UK) without having to pay a penny of my own money..........previous tax paying qualified me. It was ******* fantastic! -
Classic Thai media image, a bunch of ignorant, gullible, superstitious people who have ****** up or been ******over: The Thai State breeds them to it.

"Thailand is slowly changing, for the worse, before we know it, it will be the same sh*t hole I left to come here." "Where's he gone?" "Thailand I think" "Thank ******* christ for that! let's hope that's the last we've seen of the miserable old ****!" (Sounds of "tinnies" being cracked, laughter, etc......) Have a ******* awful day........"cobber".

Everywhere that cannabis has been legalised has seen a rise in emergency admissions due to its use. The stoner view is as pernicious and disingenuous as was that of the tobacco industry when the reality of the dangers of cigarette smoking began to be revealed. It should be taken no more seriously than the exhortations of the alcohol industry for people to "drink responsibly". Three of a kind.

Re: Neutrality of Thailand. February this year: "At its resumed eleventh emergency special session, the world body adopted a new resolution calling for an end to the war, only hours before the conflict enters its second year on Friday. Tweet URL The results were 141 Member States in favour and seven against - Belarus, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Eritrea, Mali, Nicaragua, Russia and Syria. Among the 32 abstentions were China, India and Pakistan. By the terms of the 11-paragraph resolution, the Assembly reiterated its demand that Russia “immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw all of its military forces from the territory of Ukraine and called for a cessation of hostilities”. https://news.un.org/en/story/2023/02/1133847 Unlike last year Thailand did not abstain. Thailand voted in favour of the resolution. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/at-the-un-thailand-votes-to-condemn-russias-aggression-in-ukraine/

Naked woman with a monk at Bang Sue station - police scurry to make arrest
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Why? He, nor anyone else, is in danger, being harmed or threatened, nobody appears to be in need of care or succour. So he looks the other way and gazes into the distance.......contemplating the world and, perhaps, his own inner space, probably seeking to maintain an inner calm and remain in balance.......or maybe he doesn't even need to try to do that. He is doing the Buddhist thing. Something that nobody else in the story.......including those most outraged on his behalf......is. He is a lesson for them (and us) all, but, of course, they don't get it........poorly educated, shortsighted, ignorant, unsophisticated, stupid, undeveloped, misguided, self-righteous, hubristic, vain ****s that they are. Welcome to Thailand. -

It looks like lumps of ice as Thailand's north gets hail

It doesn't take much "imagination" at all. Just a bit of "knowledge": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_ice_(aviation) -
It looks like lumps of ice as Thailand's north gets hail
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
I doubt that it arrived in that "formation". It is probably the result of small stones compacting together when landing in depressions in the ground, or piling on top of each other beneath sloping surfaces. -
It is not "safe". You're living in the past (not a surprise on these pages). The psychoactive elements in it are far more refined, potent and concentrated than they were in......OMG, I'm going to say it....."My day". Any number of scholarly articles are available describing the situation now: "As the strength or potency of cannabis products has increased internationally over the years, so have rates of people being treated for cannabis addiction, say the authors of a new study....................Cannabis potency refers to the concentration of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in cannabis - the key psychoactive drug it contains. Recent studies from the same team at Bath have found that the concentration of THC in cannabis has increased significantly over time meaning that cannabis used today is typically much stronger than previously.........These findings may help to explain why more people have received treatment for cannabis problems over recent years. Data from the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction show a 76% increase in people entering treatment for cannabis addiction in the past decade." https://www.bath.ac.uk/announcements/high-strength-cannabis-linked-to-addiction-and-mental-health-problems/ https://www.rethink.org/advice-and-information/about-mental-illness/learn-more-about-conditions/cannabis-and-mental-health/ https://nida.nih.gov/publications/research-reports/marijuana/there-link-between-marijuana-use-psychiatric-disorders https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyt.2021.597725/full

Four new airlines to join Thailand’s crowded skies
Enoon replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Airlines are transport companies.......get the vehicles, get the drivers (commercially licensed of course) get the cargo (and/or passengers) + staff to deal with it/them, get insured get the slots, line up access to fuel/servicing and maintenance facilities, sell the tickets.......off you go. No, it's not the country.......it's just you don't have a clue about the process involved. It's no big deal.......but you had better just stick to watching your favourite sport, in your favourite "Sports Bar".- 34 replies
