The time to die, should be of our choosing ?
Enoon replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It was a sarcastic comment. ie. "You mean you want to change your decision after you're dead?" Geddit? PS Don't bother with pills unless used to reduce anxiety, as part of the "ceremony". There will be some obviously.......like you got before that first skydive..........or whatever other great step you took beyond your everyday experience. DAREST THOU NOW O SOUL. DAREST thou now O soul, Walk out with me toward the unknown region, Where neither ground is for the feet nor any path to follow? No map there, nor guide, Nor voice sounding, nor touch of human hand, Nor face with blooming flesh, nor lips, nor eyes, are in that land. I know it not O soul, Nor dost thou, all is a blank before us, All waits undream'd of in that region, that inaccessible land. Till when the ties loosen, All but the ties eternal, Time and Space, Nor darkness, gravitation, sense, nor any bounds bounding us. Then we burst forth, we float, In Time and Space O soul, prepared for them, Equal, equipt at last, (O joy! O fruit of all!) them to fulfil O soul. Walt Whitman -
Will Thailand’s new residency visa achieve results?
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A lot of money got "invested" in Cuba under Batista. Thailand seems to be just the sort of place to appeal to that sort of wealth. Prostitution rife, soft drugs legit, major trading hub for illegal drugs, awash with illegal guns, casinos on the way, all under the smiling, benevolent, accessible stewardship of the RTP. It's a bargain at 500k. -
All that is true. When they used to fall off balconies in Scarborough or Bournemouth repatriation wasn't an "extra". Definitely some serious 'fessing up is needed about what things are like in terms of general "domestic" safety in Thailand, and certainly about its desirability as a "fun/adventure" destination. Couple that with some real education about the importance of in-depth insurance. In the meantime, happily, there are plenty of good hearted people around....and GoFundMe to channel their altruism.

The time to die, should be of our choosing ?
Enoon replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Nature already "chooses" when we should die......but we intervene. All that is required is for us to have the option to go with natures choice, and make it as peaceful, painless and stressless as possible. It is the people around the chosen person who need the real help....a greater understanding of self and its place in eternity. We are not central and indispensable to eternity......to believe that we are is the infants way of "being". -

Let's face it......many a male expat in Thailand is only there because he can easily hook up (serially) with Thai women, who will put up with all his emotional dysfunction like women back home ceased to do some time ago. But even Thai women will only take so much. I've seen the way these guys behaved back home. Then, in my naive ignorance, as a male, I naturally had some sympathy for them. But now, with the perspective of time and experience, I can see that they were destined for relationship failure all along. And still are........judging by what they say, on these pages, about their experiences in Thailand.

Thankyou for your post. That's another bit of YouTube "virtual sightseeing" done. One more journey I don't have to take on Thailands roads! -
Australian Woman Runs Over and Kills Street Painter in Pattaya

Barrier should have been de-activated, in down position, while work was going on..........I see a barrier raise in front of me it means "come on". I am also not sure that I would have seen somebody on the ground who was, perhaps, obscured as a result of that hedge and because of my view being across the longest dimension (diagonal, driver to nearside headlamp) in the brief observational time I would have rounding that sharp corner on approach. A "straight in" approach, from 10 plus metres away would, probably, have enabled someone to easily see him. I would need to have a re-run, while in the driving seat and with a suitably sized/shaped object on the ground, in order to pass judgement.- 200 replies

Style is not synonymous with beauty. It's something which is the "thing" this year/month/week/day. Its fish lips and thick black eyebrows on a silicon breasted, peroxide blonde tart. The majority of expensive watches are not beautiful. The majority of them are over-designed, grotesque and entirely lacking in any aesthetic virtues, other than those "appreciated" by those who know the price (especially potentially increasing price) of everything.....but the value of nothing.

Thai public health minister CANCELS Covid vaccine rules

The institution is rotten from top to bottom........as are most institutions in Thailand. It works hand in glove with the state..........as do the others. A "Reformation" is what is required. Such a thing resulted in the deaths of about half the population of Germany, in bloody civil war, pestilence and famine, during the 17th century. It also brought about major social/political structural changes in Europe. It played a great part in the "removal" of the then King of England, Scotland and Ireland and, after the restoration of the monarchy (and a change of ruling dynasty), the move towards a more democratic state.

Travel insurance warning after Welshman's motorbike crash
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
His insurance came as part of a package in a current bank account deal (monthly fee gets you x% interest plus various other perks.......automatic "free" travel insurance being one of them). However their characteristic is that they only usually cover for a relatively short period.........extended stays require an extra premium, as does cover for older customers. These are two of the conditions for the Nationwide Flexplus Account Worldwide Travel Insurance: Anyone aged 70 or over. If any person to be insured is aged 70 or over, you must buy an age upgrade to cover them. This costs £65 per year including Insurance Premium Tax (IPT). You’ll need to purchase it every year. You only need one extension per account. Trips for longer than 31 days. You'll need to buy a trip extension upgrade. I don't use it. "Adam's sister Jess Davies, 30, said while her brother had worldwide travel insurance, the policy would not pay out for medical expenses as he had been away from the UK for more than 31 days." I used to drink "with the lads", on the customer side of the bar........such fun. After working behind the bar, sober and listening to them, I ceased to treasure their company. -
'Romeo and Juliet' child actors sue over 1968 nude scene
Enoon replied to ozimoron's topic in Entertainment
Here is one of the victims speaking for herself.......in 2018: In a 2018 interview with Variety, Hussey defended the nude scene. "Nobody my age had done that before," she said, adding that Zeffirelli shot it tastefully. "It was needed for the film." In a separate interview with Fox News, also conducted in 2018, she said the scene was "taboo" in the US, but that nudity was common in European films at the time. "It wasn't that big of a deal," she said. "And Leonard wasn't shy at all! In the middle of shooting, I just completely forgot I didn't have clothes on." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-64160726 Now that an unexpected opportunity to possibly make a pile of cash has come up........she's changed her tune Well whaddya know! In truth, her shameless attempt to jump on the gravy train merely underlines the legitimacy of the grievances of those who were systematically, covertly, coerced and abused into sexual acts, for the personal pleasure of their abusers, without cameras being anywhere near them. -
