3. Eat: 33.51%
Have they thought about incorporating the sufficiency economy? Either that or they could eat cake.

Well, you could always tax the s*** out of the items coming in from the EU.
Nothing like seeing a bottle of French wine for 650 baht and knowing the box version of it (3 litres) goes for about the equivalent of 250 baht in France.

good comment by the PM Khun Prayut Chan O Cha. He is listening to their plight.
Oh, we all know what a good listener he is. At least you're finally admitting the people's plight.
The next 10 days should be really interesting.

That “we” are facing? Desperate words from a man who’s clinging on for dear life.
The whole, “we are Thai. Let’s work together” nonsense won’t work anymore. When will the dinosaurs learn? The seal is now well and truly broken.
People know exactly what the elite are up to and how they run things. These things can’t be unlearnt.

You’re not sure what they’re protesting about? How about reading their demands. They’re there for all to see and they’re perfectly clear . If you don’t understand something that’s easily researched, don’t make yourself look silly by saying you don’t understand it.

And the first person to be thrown under the bus to appease the protesters? That’s right........Prayut. It will be his final idiotic use.
But as the protesters confirmed, he’s just a lapdog.

Yes. It’s called selective justice.

Is there a protest going on? You’d never know looking at this website. Maybe we’ll read about it next week.

Ah, you still claiming that it was all just an “accident”? He’s been charged with what little this government thinks they can get away with. You might have noticed that their credibility is at an all time low. Maybe they should change their names and start a fresh? Kinda pathetic, but that’s what pathetic people do.

Thank god we have you to point out all the intricate semantics of these threads.
I often read these stories and think they’re Just Weird. And then you come along and clear it all up.

NHSO transferring patients from 63 fraudulent hospitals
Seems a bit harsh to be punishing the patients for the fraudulent activities of the hospitals. Wonder if they’ll be transferred to the PM’s office?

Yes, a great idea to follow (if you have money). If you don’t, then all you have to look forward to is the sweet release of death.
I was quite partial to the philosophy in the movie Layer Cake:
“You’re born. You take s***. Get out in the world and take more s***. You climb a little higher and you take less s***. ‘Til one day you’re in the rarified atmosphere and you’ve forgotten what s*** even looks like”.
But of course in Thailand, this doesn’t apply.- 16

It’s a worry, but they can’t jam people’s ability to take photos or video. And that can all be uploaded later.

All he knows is that the visa is for 90 days, can be extended up to 270 days and that it is hoped to be able to attract 1,000 to 1,200 tourists a month that will bring in 1.2 billion baht a month.
1000-1200 tourists generating 1.2 billion baht a month, huh? Seems like the plan is to make all these tourists fly Thai Airways, then.

If you know anything at all about high-pressure washers, you know not to buy cheap ones or ones that don't have a brand name or can't be reviewed properly online.
It's very easy now to go online now and buy all sorts of cheap <deleted>. Lazada, for example, is just full of fake or dodgy products. It's very easy to do your research of products. And if you can't find any reviews online, or the product has a name with English characters but a website that's exclusively in Chinese - steer well clear.

Should Chinese state media be reporting negative news of other countries? It seems telling the truth is never an excuse when it's done to China.
We constantly hear the "You hurt the feelings of Chinese people" rhetoric ad nauseam when any other country prints negative news about China, so maybe they should lead by example.

No, the quote in your post also had 500 packs, rather than the 500 million in the BP article. To which you stated 'but Bkk Post numbers are the same' i.e. all the numbers, not just one of the numbers.
Clearly not.
Oh, you're looking for an argument.
Well, that isn't what I meant. I was referring to the total sum which was 12.5 billion baht. A number which is the same as the Bkk Post. But you're welcome to believe that I really thought that 500 boxes of gloves were bought for this price.

Just now, Hi Tea said:You did post this, "It seems the biggest pandemic in Thailand isn't any virus, it's corruption, starting right at the very top", on a thread about corruption in the rubber gloves case.
That sure looks like you were suggesting that the Pol Col referred to in the OP (who has been shunted from his position for authorising a deal that he was not in a position to sign) was near "the very top".
If he wasn't at the very top, then I don't think a deep wai will be sufficient when apologising to his boss. He's surely going to have to Bob A Kneale to his superior, right?

Thai media takes aim at plans to make 14 day quarantine fun and interesting

Yes, I can imagine all the unmarried couples who've been on top of each during lockdown are just itching to come to Thailand to get married. But not a second before they volunteer to be cooped up together again in a hotel room for 14 days.
