Ah, yea. They didn’t have enough information before so thought they’d imprison them anyway. Now they have all the facts they’ve released them.

Some politician? I believe it was the health minster who is a prospective PM.

It's been confirmed that he tested positive. He hasn't left the country and he was sent to prison August 26th. He was working as a DJ at places like Khoa San Road before.

Poor employees.
A lot of people getting shafted while a few just completely abused it all.

Don't worry - Prayut will find one soon. That's Prayut's responsibility. Whether or not the new finance minister will stay very long is anyone's guess. But that isn't Prayut's responsibility.
Kind of like how a poorly managed company making huge losses keep employing bad staff. They just keep blaming the bad staff.

I read yesterday that the eleven micro-parties were proposing that Prayut becomes the finance minister.
This is what happens when there's no real opposition allowed and you let a few people (and I literally mean a few) consolidate all the power for themselves.
You get Thing 1 and Thing 2 making all the big decisions that they're dangerously unqualified to make because they're suffering more than ever from grandiose narcissism/ the Dunning/Kruger Effect. And you get all the feckless and impotent sycophants just saying and doing whatever they think the real bosses want in the hope they can have access to that teat, too.
Meanwhile, the people they're supposed to be working for just suffer more and more until the water finally spills over (a more commonly used Thai analogy).

Yea, it's not nice being harassed, is it?
22 minutes ago, snoop1130 said:Asked about the case by reporters, the Prime Minister said that he had nothing to do with it, because his daughters are already adults and they have the right to protect their reputation
Wish he shared this kind of sentiment for the general public. He seems to think they're children who need to be controlled and told what to do.

What an absolute s*** show. The power at the top (not the absolute very top) is obviously far too concentrated - thing is, surely people taking these positions must know that. They're employed to take the title but not really the position.
How can so few people be qualified to make so many decisions? They simply can't and this will just get worse and worse really quickly.

Yea, after witnessing the numbers he must have witnessed this sounds like the beginning of a stroke. He was right to walk away.

The way gold companies retrieve gold is a threat to public health if not done properly. In a lot of cases they don't bother to do so.
Then don't allow mining companies in. You can't sign international agreements and just null and void them 'cause your prime minster doesn't understand that article 44 doesn't apply outside of Thailand. There are rules and protocols to be followed for a reason.
This was a massive schoolboy error by a rookie prime minister. He won't be paying a dime but the tax payers will.

3 hours ago, webfact said:Asked whether the Prime Minister was a state official when he was the NCPO chief and exercised his authority to suspend the gold mine’s operations, Gen. Prayut said it is a thing of the past
What? Officially you were classified as not being a state official yet you’re using state funds to pay for the legal fees.
Now the country is looking at having to pay out 750 million dollars because you thought you could do whatever you wanted with no consequences. True naivety, arrogance and ineptitude. This isn’t on the Thai people, Prayut, this is solely on you.
You were NOT a state official when you did this. Now the decision to have the court decide that has come back to bite you on the a**. Pay the money out of your own pocket, Prayut and then step down. Shameful.

He is the leader, he is at the top whether farang like it or not. lol
PS.maybe Thailand is not the place for you.
If working hard to find a new finance minster only to have him quit is what's best for Thailand, I suggest you, much like Prayut, have no idea what's best for Thailand. That's not just a gross misuse of tax payer's money, it's completely moronic and makes zero sense.
Not sure what you mean by "second highest person of statue authoritarian'. It's that authoritarian attitude that will more than likely end up costing the country 750 million dollars because he closed down that Kingsgate mine. Absolute sheer ignorance and stupidity.

Yes, He tried so hard to get him in that he thought it would be a great idea to utterly embarrass himself by having him quit. It's idiotic so it's plausible when it comes to Prayut.

How utterly embarrassing for the regime.
Guess the minster looked at the numbers so maybe he really is having health problems.

Good to know that those of us who stayed in the country the whole time are covid-free. I was worried for a while that viruses discriminate based off nationality.

Thailand needs tourists, huh? Judging by the way many tourists were treated before covid and the whole TM30 nonsense, etc. you'd have thunk they were trying to cull them.
Most people make hay while the sun is shining. Here they seemingly prefer to try and have their cake and eat it. Unfortunately for them the real world has kicked in. Will anyone learn for future reference?

I stopped caring a long time ago. I'm a far more patient and stress-free person for it.
The only worry I have is safety sometimes and what kind of future my (missus') niece and nephew will have when they grow up. I hope it's one where they're encouraged to think and be free.
