I have done it twice last year, over 1,000,000 thb best way to send for us was from ktb swift to Commonwealth bank. Both times money was there within 15 minutes despite telling us it would take 2-3 business days. Make sure you let the receiver, commonwealth bank account holder's pay for the fees instead of the sender ktb here. It's works much cheaper as ktb charges 1100 Baht whereas commonwealth bank charges 11$. In my case it was free as I m long customer of CBA. By using swift the charges are cheaper but the rate is little higher but at the end it works out as the cheaper way /option. Plus it's quick despite its a swift transaction. I hsve a whole thread in here I'm try to post it. OK I got it https://aseannow.com/topic/1274642-sending-money-from-thailand-to-australia/ Regards ????

Good morning forum, 2 questions.. Just double checking that an SCB EZ savings account is OK to use for Changwatanna Immigration. In the past I used krungsri, ktb and had to submit an account verification letter only since I had a physical bank book. I understand for the scb EZ account you need to submit also a statement covering the past two months prior in the absence of a physical bankbook. Also going to Changwatanna Bkk on the 29th of Sep, extension ends October 31st, 33 days earlier should not be a problem? Thank you ✌️

SCB EasyNet Mobile App logon?
walailak replied to SurfRider's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I just did this morning at my local SCB branch in Bkk, had to sign a disclaimer (they call it as an exemption) to let thr bank to increase the limit to over 50,000 per transaction etc without having to face scan, until a system for foreigners is implemented...... My KRUNGSI bank works after they took my pic, As for KTB, there is no way of increasing the limit, as it asks me for a scan, even going to the bank. Need to wait for their system to include foreigners...... My two cents ✌️ -
It could be that they ask yo for a COR because yr licence has as an ID number yr the passport number on it.. Mine has the 13 digit pink id number as the ID no., on it. As for your peristance about the non O Extension Thai wife until recently to open a bank account, i don't agree as the conditions on the SCB havent changed. If you have a proper extension no worries, it's the tourist visa people that they don't like....

Non O Thai wife - December 2022 - BKK Also previously u typed... "BTW for TDL the transport offices require a COR. Thinking previously Pink ID cut it. " Last year, I extended my 5 years license (first issued in 2008) to another 5 year license at DLT (Chatuchak) , I used my Yellow BOOK no problems as long as I went to my local Amphur and provide DLT with a record/paper from the Amphur, stating that this passport holder is actually the same person holding this yellow book/ pink ID!! As I have previously posted, my yellow book / Pink ID obtained 10 years has been no more than positive use for opening accounts, DLT, checking in hotels, vaccines, use in hospitals, enrolling in M40 etc...... ????

Took less than 5 minutes as all they have all of the details in their system including the compulsory test/pink slip for cars older than 7 years Road tax sticker to be mail to us, hopefully will come soon.

Good afternoon forum, i m trying to pay for my car tax online BUT i accidentally clicked on the pick up sticker instead of mailing it to me. I m trying through their website and clicked on Check tax payment results/Change payment method trying to change it BUT that dosent work, (see attachemnt) WIfe read that if you dont pay within the first day they will automatically cancel yr request to pay ( system resets) BUT you will no able to make a new request to pay as there is a 3 days waiting period. Can anyone confirm this?> thank you

I always call the 1800 number of the commonwealth bank, it's free through Skype and it doesn't matter if they put me on hold for an hour or so Same as when I call AMP, service nsw, Vanguard Australia etc But if I do need to call another place without a 1800 number, as you mentioned, I call their landline number NOT the 1300 number and its dirt cheap ????

good afternoon, im a long CBA customer and been living here in BKK since 2006. I used to get netcode here from the bank using DTAC flawlessly. When i got stuck in sydney during the pandemic just before i left the bank suggested me t use the app to receive notifications. since then all the notifications even the one today to change my limit transfer,it came through the com bank app. Since that time i receive NO MORE SMS buu rather netcode notifiactions in the app. vey easy and always worked hope this helps How does NetCode notifications work on CommBank app? To receive your NetCode you'll need to be connected to the internet and have your notifications turned on your Android or iPhone. If your notifications aren't turned on, your NetCode will appear in My notifications in the CommBank app. These will only appear for the 2 minutes your NetCode is valid. Can I get NetCode on CommBank app? A NetCode may be sent via CommBank app instead of SMS if you have installed and registered the CommBank app (on a compatible iOS or Android device) with notifications enabled. View the video below to see how CommBank app NetCode notifications work.

Forgot to mention that the police report at my local police station required by the district office was free, my initial thought was that it costs 20 Baht, but that wasn't the case. ANYONE can confirm that? Cop after struggling to get it done, didn't mention anything about a fee to be paid just the same old krub krub????????

To my surprise, they were very helpful and made sure i got out of there with a replacement. They even followed me to the car, while about to drive to Saimai Police Station, to make sure i get the report from my local police station and NOT from another station ???? Actually it was extra work for them as they had to use a special printer at the back to print it as the printer outside its only for ThaI IDs where there is a gap for the chip. But still an overall great professionalism by them!!

YEs the back of it has the same conditions AS my original Pink ID from 2016, they haven't bothered updating them. As for the cards being different to the ones given to the migrant workers YOU ARE RIGHT, Our Burmese workers, at our recycling business, their Pink Card IDs are different!! If I ever get the chance i will upload the pic. ????

Hi, I was not taking about my PINK ID number as that number never changes...... I was rather talking bout the number underneath the picture, a 11 digit number which is a sequent . FIrst 4 digit are the district (khet) number, in my case, 1042 follow by a 7 digit number.... As previously mentioned i had number 13 , now in my new replaced Pink ID it has risen to 303 Hope this explains......

Best way to send money out of Thailand
walailak replied to kimamey's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Good evening, Send money out of Thailand to Australia twice last year using Krungthai App as a KTB Foreign Remittance, using the bank account to bank account option. Money supposedly takes few days but both times it look less than 11 minutes to arrive at my Australian bsnk account. Make sure you let the other side pay for the fees as it works out cheaper than what ktb charges. Very straightforward process. If you want to have a read please see link below ✌️ -
Last Sunday I lost my pink ID, issued in 2016, while I was at the market near home (Saphanmai area BKK). Off to my local district council (Saimai) yesterday, first arrived there by 10am queue number 80, was told that I won't be served until 2pm. Was only given the standard form in thai to complete if you have lost yr ID. (no mention of a police report required). Off to do other bit and pieces, got back to the district office by 1.45pm. Queue was up to no 65 so had to wait another 45 minutes. Finally my number was called, and before I ever had the chance explaining my issue, the officer insisted that a police report is needed if you aren't Thai.!! Officer said you got one hour till 4pm to return if you want to have it done today. Off I go to Saimai police, 3kms away, just to get the police report and return to the district office. Cop not so friendly coulnt read out basic details from passport, visa expiration, date of birth, place of birth etc finally he manages to do it in 30 minutes. Got back to the district office, with all now completed paperwork, just before 4pm. Finally the Pink ID was issued,a bit of a delay in printing as they had to use a special printer loated at the back, expiring in 10 years time, new mugshot, fee 60 Baht, officer mentions that Thais pay 100, She clearly said that I got a cheaper price than Thais ???????? Overall despite the unnecessarily police report silliness the district office staff were very friendly and helpful dealing with an Alien ???? In my previous Pink ID I was the 13th person to be issued /photographed one with, (see attachment)... This number in my new pink ID has now risen to 303, Thsts within 7 years for Saimai district office issuing around 290 of these pink IDs ✌️
