  1. My Non o extension wife thread has been turned to a hospital discussion ????????
  2. Quick update...... Today 31 Oct I picked up my 12 month marriage extension stamp at CW at their L2 counter....only took 3 minutes...and they didn't require me to show/provide a copy of my updated bank passbook!! Counter was fast, arrived around 1.30pm they gave me a queue number of 166, walked to the L2 counter, gave them my passport, they said please sit down and wait, about 3 minutes later they called me back to sign and then I was handed my passport stamped with the 12 month extension. Good to go until 31 October 2023!! Easy peazy, not? ????
  3. Great thank you for the update, It's only 10 days left so I will keep the account as it is, just in case they need it, like they required for my previous 5 marriage extension final 12 month stamps..... In previous years I also had to wait 1 to 1.5 hours for L2 to issue the 12 month stamp. Good to hear that it only took 5 minutes for you. will let you know my experience on October 31st ????
  4. Last question do you know about the NDID platform regulation not being able to send money to yrself.? I rang KTB twice today and I was told to send the money to a "cousin" instead and that will bypass the restriction... KTb also informed me that even my wife, a dual citizen, can't send many to an account in her name overseas.. Just send to a "cousin"! As if I do that Lol Weird e? Next time I will use my ktb account to send to wife's commonwealth bank, just rorate and beat the system, amazing Thailand ????????
  5. According to my calculations in I lost around 677.aud not bad. If I had gone to supper rich convert then manually take the money to Australia buying an expensive airline ticket dealing with declarations etc. at the moment krungsri pays 0.9% interest compare to amp in Australia 3.6%..in a years time I might be ahead or not.. but I feel better to have the funds back home as I been living in Bangkok since 2006 and still get treated with the non O Extension Thai wife non immigrant bullish... If a thai goes to my country in 5 years they get many rights, but this is a discussion for another thread. Thanks everyone again for your imput
  6. Yes it took 11 minutes to get the commonwealth bank of Australia app notification, then Money transferred straight to AMP for the upcoming 3.6% interest rate increased..... win win situation
  7. 1100 Baht in total since I paid for total fees to be paid from sender, if I had paid only the sender fee of 300 Baht then the commonwealth bank of Australia would have deducted 11$(260thb)...and I would have saved ... An extra, (800-260=.. 540 Baht) But overall very very happy with the outcome ????
  8. Just a quick update from todays 1,000,000 THB transfer. Used KTB app , i couldn't send money from my name to my name in Australia as the app does NOT allow it (apparently sending money to your name u need to go to the bank and submit extra documents,, stuff that) so i used my wifes KTB app and send the money to my name to my commonwealth bank account.. send 9.15 am...…money in the commonwealth bank 9.26am.... estimated timeframe (1-3 days) lol took only 11 minutes. Thank you everyone for your contribution. If anyone knows WHY name to name transaction isn't allow through the KTB app , I would like to know
  9. Thank you that is the one i m leaning to...…its like 1,100thb the fees, plus I rang the commonwealth bank the can charge up to $11 for receiving funds......not bad at all and safer ????
  10. After doing some research and I found KTB inter transfer through the app the cheapest to get more aud$..... there is a thai owned place in Sydney called "Own money services Australia" that has the best rate (see attachment) but it starts off by a deposit of your thai baht amount into a thai account before they go on to the next step. Transferring to a thai bank account that has no protection unlike Australia, isn't safe/ in my opinion and i would rather avoid. I have attached the list , some banks charge extra fees some dont so i have included that in my calculations, if anyone else has any more recommendations i would appreciate.
  11. A ;long time user but hardly post. I have been living here since 2006 and this is a first time for me. Looking of sending 1,000,000 THB to Australia. Which ways are available to send money to Australia, its doesn't have to be quick, looking for the cheapest option. I do have several Thai bank accounts in my name and a Commonwealth Bank account in my name in Australia. My wife a dual citizen, also has several Thai bank accounts in her name and a Commonwealth Bank account in her name in Australia. Should I send the money, out of Thailand, in my name or wife's ? which way is better? If anyone can help please do so! Thank you forum
  12. have been using both KTC and KRUNGSRI credit cards in various supermarkets around Thailand since 2011 and they have never asked for any proof of identity...… Lately been using the Uchoose app from KRUNGSRI Bank I don't even need to carry/show the credit card as through the app you can scan for the credit card payment (QR CODE) which often confuses the cashier as they prepare a money transfer/prompt pay scan (QR CODE) that is different to a credit card scan payment (QR CODE). As previously someone said "There's no way I'd produce any ID (even my Pink ID, Driving license etc.) to show check out girls whilst shopping"
  13. Siam Commercial Bank (Saphan Mai Don Mueang Branch) Address: 130 Phahonyothin Rd, Khlong Thanon, Sai Mai, Bangkok 10220 ????
  14. What i did was, I called the SCB Call Centre to inform my local branch that I am coming in and that I am on a long term NON O Thai Wife extension, with yellow book and the pink ID etc. and I meet all the requirements to open the SCB EZ account. The branch manger was waiting for us, at then end i also opened one account for wife, depositing 500,000thb each account...…manager was very very happy TIT
  15. yes i did opened one on 30 June 2022 in BKK, with my yellow book and pink ID...…that was all needed!!
  16. No TM30 was required even though I have it stapled in the passport...…officer did not ask for it. I have the logins (wife got them after submitting all of the documents required) , for the house (same place since moving here in 2006) so when they started about 3 years to require proof of it , I checked in myself at home and use that same printout record since then. But still up to now I haven't been asked for it ????
  17. one more thing I forgot..... I intentionally did not copy the tm47 as it has been scrapped, guess what? the officer asked for it, but at least she made the effort of copying it herself at their own copier at the back of the office ????
  18. Thank you for your reply, as I have been living here for years and I do understand that things change so fast, I was going to keep the 400k and play it safe by keeping my bank balance above 400K until I get the final stamp, please let me know, if possible, your experience when you go back in mid Oct to get that final stamp......
  19. 1. nooooo, just handed them the printout and she stapled it all together with the paperwork! 2. no, screenshot of the top showing my name and the appointment time, LINE to wife, wife added the shop's LINE, then they print black and white (5baht) AMAZING BKK IMMIGRATION, every year there is something new - living here since 2006 ????
  20. Point 2...... I was not aware of it even though I try to read the forum often ???? Point 3......Yes, the officer told my wife that they have now stopped/unable/system wont let them, do the 90 day report at time of extension anymore ????
  21. Good afternoon forum, few points from my experience today at Chaengwattana immigration BKK...…that might help others...... 1. KTB and Krungrsri banks downstairs can issue the 400,000 thb in the bank letter, for immigration purposes, instantly there is no need to wait 45 minutes as before to get it confirmed from the head office. Had it within seconds and it was accepted by immigration. 2. Had an online appointment booked at 10.30am but the officer would not accepted it showing it on my phone so she made me go downstairs and print it off (5 baht), no logic as it why but I wont argue with them. 3. Unlike other 'covid' years the officer at the Non-O counter could not do my 90 report as it has gone back to Chaengwattana from Muang Thong Thani (whatever that means). 4. Confirmed by the officer and then by the big boss, when collecting the passport with the one month consideration stamp in it, that in a months time all its needed, for the final stamp, its the passport NO BANKBOOK TO BE SHOWN...
  22. @ubonjoe Just a quick clarification... I deposited the money on the 31 of July so going in on the 30th September would that satisfy the 2 months money in the bank option OR I'm pushing it? Should I change my appointment to the Monday 3rd of October? Thank you in advance Walailak
  23. Thank you so much for your prompt reply, I will make an online appointment asap for Sep 30th!!
  24. My non O Thai Wife extension ends 31st October (every year)… Can I go on 30th September (Friday) instead of 3rd October (Monday)? Sep 30 is within the 45 days. This is for BKK CW Immigration, Could anyone confirm @ubonjoe Thank you forum!!
