  1. Incorrect. I have been involved in social care for many years. Every care/residential home I have been involved with have been paying good salaries. Higher than most retail outlets, as an example. Add to that the paid breaks, pension schemes, paid holidays, double time on Christmas and New years day, time and a half on other bank holidays, enhanced rates at weekends, staff support schemes....the packages offered are very good. The foreign staff are not cheap staff. Everyone gets the same package, regardless of nationality or immigration status.
  2. Not me. I simply replied to a comment with incorrect information. There seem to be many expats unaware of many immigration policies. You yourself say it's best to give as much info as possible. People here speaking of immigration rule breaking. Having heard instances of people being extorted by immigration who over stepped their juristiction, it's important people know when this could be happening to them and what immigration can and cannot do.
  3. Why? We are discussing what is and what is not " Immigration business".
  4. Yes, correct. However, look at the family tree of policing and immigration. It branches out and each departments has its own head and department.
  5. Run by different government offices. Different heads. Different jurisdictions. Different powers. Overlap? More like occasionally working together rather than overlap.
  6. Exactly. My comments refer to a comment by a poster saying immigration are police and have the same powers as police, maybe even more powers I'm pointing out they are different forces, have different powers and deal in different matters.
  7. All to do with immigration. Show how immigration go out and arrest Thai nationals. Maybe fining foreigners speeding or riding a motorcycles with no crash helmet.
  8. Just because you dislike something, doesn't mean you should ignore the facts. Twisting things people say does not make them wrong. Ignoring charitable contributions does not mean they don't happen.
  9. It would take too long to list all of the charities donations go to. You could start with The Prince's Trust.
  10. Even more selective reading. I mentioned a handful of policies. You said " all" illegal then only chose one to link to.
  11. You said you would not purchase a colour printer. My point was, I can't recall the last time I saw a printer that prints only black and white and doesn't print colour.
  12. She needs to, by the sounds of her boyfriend.
  13. You hand over to him? What do you had to him? As for doing nothing his entire life..? Your republican seletive blindness is getting worse.
  14. The government have been trying that. Detention centres, army barracks, barges off the Portland coast, Rwanda. All blocked or slowed by activists, courts, protesters and lefty opposition.
  15. Sounds like that famous football quite " I like to get my retaliation in first"
  16. Hotels but only in name. It's a form of accommodation. That is all. It's not as if they are laying on their bed, flicking TV channels and calling room service. There are other forms of accommodation ready but protesters, human rights activists and court proceedings hold things up.
