i thought the legal requirement was for a photo id with address like a drivers licence?

has to be said that carrying a passport around is not the safest thing in the world to do. Loss, theft etc.

Just back from the Lawyers (thai)

His immediate reaction when i asked about a 3Mil. visa was, "that is old it is 10 million now......and very easy to obtain.......just go to the 'One Stop Service' offices and it will be granted."

If anyone ACTUALLY finds different and OBTAINS at 3Mil. please advise us all as there is rather a lot of difference.

The difference in the exchange rate is insignificant.....especially if you pay 9 baht to go BKK to Korat:-)

try the small place on the opposite corner, same side of the road, towards the lights from the corner of the beer garden at Mae Ping. They have a few funny prices too!

Whilst in the area pop into the Mae Ping Beer Garden and see if you get a 'cover charge' added.

They seem to add rather more to foreigner bills than others:-(

Opposite Pizza Co. on Chang Klan is tea / coffee vendor in the mornings. He will drum a few prices up to scare away the foreigners on a good day:-(

Happily few places in CM seem to have the disgraceful habit that the Government appear to condone as it is the worst offender....National Parks.

check in 40 minutes pre flight. What is the matter with that?? Seem to recal the US adopting something like that after a tighten up on security.

The reality is check in walk through security, go to the loo, have a coffee, , go to the gate, get on the bus, go on the plane, relax. Arrive.

Sometimes i wonder what goes through peoples minds before they post:-))

Air Asia is great. At 300-500 B it is even better. Just go www.airasia and experiment. I am off to Singapore for 499 + taxes next week

It was a very pleasant evening and nice to meet so many new friends with a common interest in one go.

If you are in CM and read this forum come along to the next posted event.

I think in fairness it does not have to be held in the same venue each time?

(this is not a comment about the venue, just saying it could be anywhere as and when).

Probably not as often as two times a week 'officially'. Anyone turning up that wants to make arrangements with any others for a daily meeting, fine. Similarly to a monthly , fine. But personally think that an impromptu 'big' meeting will attract a better feeling and turnout? Othyerwise can cecome like 'Rotary Club', just as an example?

As said thoroughly enjoyed it and vote for the next one to be on a Friday night in the Star Six Club:-))

NEVER mix with alcohol unless you like fires inside you.

It is classed as hot food as is alcohol. Should be warnings on them as foreigners may not know this.

High in calories for sure and good a creating a bit of wind.

Try somtam followed by durian. Double the effect!!

Guess in moderation all ok??
