This criminal ring is dangerous and need stopping.

Honest Pattaya Beach Vendors ask for help as Jet Ski cases continue

    16th February 2011

Incidents involving Jet Ski’s are a daily occurrence here in Pattaya and we witnessed one such case take place on Pattaya Beach, in front of the Royal Garden Plaza on Tuesday Night. We were originally tipped-off by the owner of a Speed Boat who operates on the beach. He is angry that the reputation of Pattaya and other businesses along Pattaya Beach are being destroyed because of the Jet Ski Operators who appear to be working in cooperation with local Police in some cases. Our informant, who wishes to remain anonymous claims that tourists are being charged excessive amounts for minor damage which they are alleged to have caused to the machines. In some cases, the damage is genuine, in others it is not. On Tuesday Night we saw a group of Indian Tourists and a Russian Couple, who are believed to have been involved in an accident with their Jet Ski’s. The Jet Ski Operators appeared to utilize the services of a local Tailor Shop owner and an unknown Russian interpreter to negotiate compensation from both parties

    Teens granted "prospective spouse" visas

Most from Middle East or South-East Asia

    Child safety campaigners demand inquiry

HUNDREDS of 17-year-old girls have been brought to Australia to get married under a government visa program.

Figures show that more than two hundred 17-year-old girls were granted prospective spouse visas over the past five years - a figure child safety campaigners branded as shocking.

Hundreds more 18-, 19-, and 20-year-old women also received the visas after being sponsored by older men. The majority of the teenagers were from the Middle East or Southeast Asian cou

  3. A NEW OUTLOOK FOR PATTAYA POLICE:

This page is designed to try and establish a positive relationship between the police and community.

Yes some people will complain about certain things but without communication we can not improve for the future..

please help us to fight crime by giving us information,

you can choose to leave your contact details or not, its up to you.

  4. I never cease to be amazed that people actually look at Facebook.

It's surely the most pointless source of non-information ever created. Even local newspapers are more informative and less boring.

And they aren't covered with hundreds of little thumbnail pictures of completely unknown people who "like" them, as if anyone apart from them cares what they like.

    Gaagh.

This facebook page was a great idea at the start because The Mayor opened it to anyone to voice opinions complaint and concerns about goings on in Pattaya but unfortunately when the questions got to hard and he was told about people being extorted and assaulted he would not answer.

  5. couple of russians scammed op soi 13/3 yesterday evening, nasty plain clothed guy on motorbike with police written on the front turned up for his cut, obvious that they are all on methamphetamines and hanging out to get cash to buy more even if it means killing somebody, totally worthless scum

That nasty looking guy you are talking about also travels with a another guy on motorbike dressed in clothes to look like marine department he wears a white shirt with two gold stripes he is working with the scammers and has done for months and months.

There is also a half thai /indian who they call and flashes an ID card to tourists .

Also the big Russian and a Sikh guy are still hanging around the beach.

This operation is big and raking in millions of baht .

Along with Using fake photos's and no law enforcement is helping tourists this situation will get so bad that some person may be killed or very seriously injured for standing up to these thugs.

All embassies should be warning their citizens that plan to visit Thailand stay away from jet ski's.

Interesting that the Pattaya city had a web site Pattaya future and they have not answered any questions for over 6 months about the scams and now the web site has been closed , so it just shows what we are all dealing with this is not just about jet ski's it's also about corruption and safety for tourists to Pattaya in general.

  6. Maybe they are giving it a new name due to being unable to solve any problems such as dealing with a criminal gang still scamming and extorting tourist daily on the beach.

In full view of onlookers and cameras .

  7. Who cares, we know the scams exist so why not just not use the jetskis in Pattaya, Phuket etc? However i have used Jetski's in Pattaya twice and have never been scammed or overcharged, i guess gullible looking tourists just get targeted.

If you rent a jet ski on your own and not in a group you have a better chance of not being scammed ,the scammers always target groups of two or more but why would you risk 50 or 60 thousand baht if these guys did decide to scam you.

This is an organized criminal ring set up for the whole purpose to extort tourists there are atleast 50 involved just on pattaya beach and they are still operating daily even after five have been arrested.

  8. Well, luckily for us the embassy emailed out the medical request a matter of days before flying out on a TV. Both the email and attachment mention nothing about time frames, but like I say, we're still here and she can do the medical this coming week before we leave. Thankfully we got the email BEFORE flying out.

    Some final questions/thoughts:

    1. The email mentions that upon a health clearance, the application will be handed off to a decision maker. We've had no interview but been told that we need no further supporting documentation. Is any interview normally with the CSO or the reviewer? and could it come after the request for medical?

    2. If we fly out this week to Aus, can a subsequent interview be conducted by phone to her in Aus? I know she has to leave Aus for her to re-enter on the TR visa, but can she just fly over to NZ or does she HAVE to return to Thailand.

    3. Finally, I did buy refundable/transferable/reschedule-able tickets. I hadn't yet bought the return airfare for her (for this reason), what is the likely timeframe after medical and

What is the general consensus on staying back a few weeks in the hope she only has to enter only once AFTER the TR is granted?

Did they give you a time limit of how long is the waiting time after a decision maker looks at it ?

  9. Plenty of scams going on again today Soi 11 and Soi 13 short guy Mr Floral Shorts with colours in the hair shorts {see pic in post 176) involved again but he also travels on a bike between the different scam areas to intimidate tourists , also they are still using a foreign person to help scam and showing photo's.

he is a busy guy the one with the fancy hair and big neck chain. I have lots of pics of him on the beach

Yes I had a look at your pictures he is one of the leaders and most times has a camera showing the customer marks on the jet ski and this is how they make their money and what have the Police done S.F.A.

  10. Same problems in Pattaya

District chief issues warning: dismantle canal obstructions in 15 days

    Friday, 28 October 2011

Banglamung’s district chief gave owners of structures blocking South Pattaya’s main storm-drainage canal 15 days to remove those obstructions or face having the government remove them with force.

The ultimatum was issued on Oct. 18, meaning as of today, Oct. 28, there is only 5 days remaining in the grace period. Chawalit Saeng-Uthai said the 14 transgressors face “extreme legal action” should they fail to comply.

Illegal structures either blocking or partially blocking the canal have been sited as the main cause of severe flooding in South Pattaya and other parts of the city. Chawalit says that clearing these obstructions is the city’s main goal for reducing the chances of a repeat of Pattaya’s Sept. crisis that saw the worst flooding in decades.

  11. Anyone having home button problems try this before replacing button.

Re: Iphone 4 Home button not working after upgrade to OS 4.3.1

Oct 14, 2011 5:36 AM (in response to Anacoreta Cenobita)

My theory is that it has something to do with multi-tasking/background processes that interfere with button signal.  Here is something you can try that works for me:

    1) turn off mail push notification (Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>Fetch New Data)

    2) turn off Spotlight Search (Settings>General>Spotlight Search)

    3) clean out background app task.  Double click the home button--if you can--then press & hold the icon until an X appear and start pressing on the X untill all is removed.

    4) power down
