The battle of Big C was concluded in less than 58 minutes and there was very little resistance from the Teetotallers.
That particular Big C is always quiet because Central normally sucks up all the local custom. Have to look elsewhere for a decent scrum.

Anyone thinking that the alcohol ban will be lifted on 30th April might want to consider that the 1st and 4th of May are national holidays. 1st is Labour day and 4th is H.M. Kings Coronation .
https://www.officeholidays.com/countries/thailand/2020
That's a Friday and Monday making for a long weekend break. Can't see them allowing the sale of alcohol knowing that it will lead to massive binge drinking over that weekend.
I would guess that they will be pushing the alcohol ban forward again a week or two

brainstorm on reviving the economy
No amount of thinking is going to change the economic slump around the corner . Just have to borrow even more money from the Chinese masters and run up more debt. What could be simpler.

I don't think they even needed a meeting, it is a foregone conclusion.
In all seriousness , if they don't have a meeting they don't get paid any bonus.
Agreed , it is a foregone conclusion but in their job description it outlines the bonuses they are paid ( separate from their military and civilian salaries ) for attending meetings. This has been published on the internet for anyone keen enough to ferret it out.

Wouldn't hurt to have 20,000 baht in cash ( or equivalent ) on you when going through immigration. Although this is not a requirement now and those on Non Imm O visas are not required to have this , the goal posts are constantly changing right now and you could meet an immigration officer having a bad hair day.
Forewarned is forearmed. Better safe than sorry.

I've yet to learn of any country in more dire need of a decent national water strategy than Thailand.
Floods and droughts year after year.

"engineered event"I saw a documentry about this. It involved monks and locals making up balls of a ' secret substance ' and dropping them into the river. After a while they deteriorate and ignite. Can't remember the other details but not a natural phenomena .

The Khmer ruins at Phnom Rung are probably the best in Thailand. Worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.

Maybe we should compare this to what Thais need if they want to visit other parts of the world, i.e. Europe...
Nothing for the UK. Not required.

Is that a toad and frog mating ritual.....Or just military foreplay?
Well, he surrounds himself with toadies but sometimes forgets their names so a pat on the back has to do.

Because the courts probably came up with this verdict just so you Prayuth could make such a glib comment.
A sop to the opposition, that is all.

I was wondering about that ??
Is Islam a race ? If a white English person converts to Islam has he changed his race or his religion ? If I become a Buddhist am I now a Thai ?
Tommy Robinson might not like Islamic extremism but I thought that would be a religious issue rather than a racist one. He has black and Jewish supporters too. Shouldn't he hate them too if he is a racist or white supremacist. ?
For ignoring the law he has been found guilty. End of.

Not like my wife then. If she walks past her clothes she seems to think they should go in the wash.

We are using the sticky fly paper sheets. Work really well.
Woman in our local shop uses them. One day I spotted about 50 flies on one.
I asked her how long it had taken to catch that many ?
About ten minutes was the answer and she pointed to four other ones in the bin all with about the same number on.
" That's this mornings catch so far " she said.
Last year was a bad year for flies apparently.

Sure i feel sorry for this guy but there are people in more need that him. He really should get a ticket back home and he would atleast get cared for.
Then when he is well again he could go back to Thailand.
Not so sure about that. If he has lived here that long he is not entitled to free care on the NHS. My understanding is that if you are a British expat that has been out of the country for a while ( a year or two ? ) you no longer qualify for free care.
If this is wrong I would like to know what the exact rule is.

Yep , its as if he believes that repeating lies often enough gives them the verisimilitude of truth.

Often see Thais asleep in a car with engine running and air con on so not really surprising .

15,000 baht a month just for dancing ??? Bloody hell . Time to get the wife out of the kitchen and put on her dancing shoes. While I'm at it the MIL has a lot of free time. I could be a kept man for a change.
I dread to think how much a takeaway costs from one of these places.
Thailand got its reputation for being cheap. I guess those days are well and truly dead and buried.
