I have no idea why my box won't upgrade to 17. Some sites say uninstall old version of Kodi. Other people say this is not necessary.

Just double checked my system and my android box is running V. 5.1.1. So, there is no real reason why Kodi 17 would not install. :( back on 16.1 now.... After much messing about.... Many streams won't play. Some streams play one day and not the next day!

    All very odd and frustrating.

Already did the factory reset. Same problems.... Sometimes says Purse error, sometimes get to install option, then it says cannot install app!

You mean parse error, i presume? not purse error :).  sounds to me like the firmware doesnt allow kodi 17. try to update your firmware. which box is it?

  2. Here is how to add subtitles to Kodi, its very easy:

Obviously it works only for movies and tv series (not for live TV).

    1 system>addons>install from repository>kodi add-on repository>subtitles

    install subtitles now

2 install subscene (good for english and scandinavian)

    3 Go to system>addons>kodi addon repository> services>AutoSub

    install AutoSub now

4 Now we will set languages for the subtitles

Go to System>Video>subtitles. change “Preferred subtitle language” to what you want. Then change default TV show service to subscene. Then do the same for default Movie service.

When you start any movie you will now get a menu to select/download subtitles.

  3. I have used x92, nexbox a95x, ms8, ms8+, Xiaomi mi box, Beelink G1, Beelink mini MX III, MXQ, Zoomtak H8, Zoomtak V plus, t95m and some other boxes i forgot about.

Some users have reported problems using boxes with the amlogic s912 processors, but i think these issues are mostly ironed out by now. the x92 has a s912, and it worked fine. You will get the occasional crash with any computer. But if stability is of utmost importance to you because you are running a pub for example, a box like the Mi box or the minix will crash less than the cheaper ones. Minix are getting very good reviews, but i have no personal experience with them.

If you have big fingers or generally have problems with remotes, avoid a95x. The remote isnt that good.

Mi box is a very good, stable box, but comes without an ethernet connector, one must use wifi. Or buy a usb to ethernet connector if you want to use ethernet connection.

Himedia boxes in general are good boxes.

Ms8 are good for the price, but people who dislike plastic and low end should avoid it.

Beelink are good boxes, remotes above average. You need to load the latest firmware though.

As always it depends on your needs, what you think is expensive :yes and if you will use it for only streaming or not.

As other have said a  general advice is to avoid 1 gb ram boxes. When the boxes fill up streaming becomes a problem. With 2 gb ram you have some memory to work with making streaming easier for the box. Get android 6 if you can.

  4. Do you know Khao Sai golf club? Its at the intersection 113 and 11. We have a small farang golf society there, mostly aussies and scandies, but we also have Americans visiting sometimes. One of our regulars is a Canadian. You dont have to play golf to meet them, we have lunch every Sunday at the clubhouse. send me a pm for more info.

  5. Thanks for that. Some people might find this discussion too detailed but i like it because i am trying to run a small club in phetchabun/phichit. we have collected score cards and been running competitions for a few years (nothing serious, just for fun). we have never used slope etc. but now we will try to do use slope and rating together with another club.

  6. Im looking to buy equipment for changing grips, changing shafts and polishing clubs. My thinking is that I should be able to find a shop to buy this in Thaniya Plaza. But i dont know which shop to go to, does anyone know? I have been to Thaniya Plaza before and I want to avoid walking around for a long time trying to find the shop im looking for.
