phutoie2: For your handicap i would def consider the new ping i20. its a players iron, but i use them with a hp of 18, and they are great. Also, consider the cfs steel shafts from ping. lighter than normal steel shafts, but heavier than graphite for added control.

Thanks guys! My plan is to go down to pattaya on the 20th, play the siam old course alone on saturday the 21st in the morning and then play with mom on sunday 22nd on the course that she prefers.

My mom arrives on the 22nd of April in bkk, and i want to give her a special day of golf. She has golfed for 20 years and i know she will appreciate a nice course around bkk, chonburi or pattaya. The question is which course? i also understand some of the courses are private and cannot be played by us if we are alone without a member? Any recommendations are welcome!

if you are interested in golf there is another course at kao sai, a nice alternative to the course in petchabun city. they are expanding to 18 holes now, should be finished in some months.

 We called them. they dont have a model for test drive, and they dont know who might have. thats pretty much the same answer as all the dealers we have talked to already.

Well after 17 years of owning a pool company, being a licence pool builder and 2000 completed pools later, I would consider mysef more than a carpenter (a carpenter is not qualified to build pools anyway)

So if anyone can do it, I think i probably can......haha

there are two kinds of thinking about pool building in thailand; 1. i am a carpenter and can build it myself. 2. i am not a carpenter and cant build it myself.

many have written as the 1, but rarely show pics of the result.

some, as myself, are no 2, and it seems to work better overall (although at a high cost sometimes).

if you are really really good, maybe you can do it yourself. if you are normal, get someone else, its hard enough.
