I may have implied I that Donald Trump was an idiot, and I am certain I have implied he's a racist and has racist agendas. I am willing to hold my hands up and say I was wrong because I read that he just fast tracked some African refugees. They bypassed the usual processing, they didn't include the UNHCR which is usually involved in the vetting procedure, and they were personally welcomed by US officials. Even though he has halted refugees from war torn countries, he still cared enough about these African refugees to come to their aid, bypass normal procedures and welcome them to their new life in the US of A. What a great man, what a great friend of poor Africans. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crljn5046epo Er.......oh. I think they used the wrong picture.

Even MAGA Is Up in Arms Over Trump’s ‘Flying Grift’ From Qatar

Trump said it himself in a Truth Social post. You seem to keep ignoring this. -
Even MAGA Is Up in Arms Over Trump’s ‘Flying Grift’ From Qatar
josephbloggs replied to BLMFem's topic in Political Soapbox
Oh please, posting GB "News" is the most obvious thing ever - it is the most rabidly right wing broadcaster in the UK by far: like Fox News on anti-immigration, racist, right wing steroids. It also has a history of being fined and sued for breaches of impartiality, for breaching ethics standards, for using misleading graphics and fake statistics to link one certain ethnic group with certain types of crimes (and that was later deemed "inflammatory and misleading"). It has also faced issues with blatantly false reporting which it had to apologise for. In short, it is a hideous, hate spreading channel and is not a serious source. No suprise you post the rubblish you do if this is where you get your "news". However, Foulkes was genuinely arrested. What the GB News "article" fails to mention though is any context at all, just stupid quotes about "Brexity things". If you read the full context the post did seem to be a call to storm Heathrow and intercept Jews, so no surprise the police looked at it. However, eight hours does seem like too long to investigate and conclude that he actually wasn't making that call, and the police have publicly apologised. But incitement to violence is definitely a matter for the police to look at - just in this case they bungled it somewhat, mistakes can happen. Even Foulkes realises this: On reflection he recognised it would have been better if he had made it clear he was challenging the original poster about their escalation of antisemitism, rather than it appearing as if he was the one who was planning action at Heathrow. -

Ok, please do enlighten this Brit as to the UK's curtailing of freedom of speech. Make it good. And please don't say people get jailed for being mean on Facebook. -

Yes, and you defended him saying you doubt it is true without even bothering to look for yourself. Nice attempt at blaming the "MSM" for your sheep-like response. -
Reminds me of the old George Bush joke, but it is more fitting for Trump now. Donald Trump is on a state visit to the UK. During an audience with the King he turns round and says: "As I'm the President, and I am MAGA, I'm thinking of changing how the country is referred to, and I'm thinking that it should be a Kingdom" The King replies, "I'm sorry Mr Trump, but to be a Kingdom, you have to have a King in charge - and you're not a King." Trump thought a while and then said: "How about a Principality then?" to which the King replied "Again, to be a Principality you have to be a Prince - and you're not a Prince, Mr Trump". Trump thought long and hard and came up with "How about an Empire then?". The King, getting a little annoyed by now, replies "Sorry again, Mr Trump, but to be an Empire you must have an Emperor in charge - and you are not an Emperor. I think it works nicely if you are just referred to as a country." (Works better when spoken than written)

Amazing! So loyal to your cult leader that you dismiss it as being untrue based on no evidence whatsoever, just blind faith. No matter that he's been on Truth Social ranting about it. You have exposed yourself Frank, a blind follower, a sheep. -
Where to Buy a 2TB External SSD for Mac Backup?
josephbloggs replied to falangUK's topic in IT and Computers
I would personally buy online but not from Lazada or Shoppee. Banana IT are very reputable. Free delivery, and delivery within three hours if you're in Bangkok. 4,000 baht for a Sandisk 2TB external SSD. https://www.bnn.in.th/en/p/sandisk-ssd-external-portable-2tb-sdssde30-2t00-g26-619659204853_zve10n?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=17337419895&gbraid=0AAAAAC10S9CtWIeRZsDbvHq2b-a4j-Ro7&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlYHBBhD9ARIsALRu09qx40RHXV1Yc0t_1DGNiSzjbGYIiSMrVb5l4YkvlT8fN3j9_3Pj9ZMaAn1lEALw_wcB -
British passport renewal in Bangkok
josephbloggs replied to kidneyw's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
I submitted my daughter's renewal on 24th April. I haven't had any correspondence regarding holding the passport or saying it is lost so maybe they have worked that out now. I did get an email to say I had only paid £14.51 and owed £129 though - even though they had my card details and on that super secure paper payment form you have to fill out it was clearly written £143.51, AND my card had a pending charge of £143.51 on it, no charge at all on my card for £14.51. So they are still a shambles, maybe they are now a payment shambles rather than a "did you lose your passport" shambles. A phone call to them did appear to sort it out (I had to pay the £129 over the phone). But I'll only really believe it when I receive the new passport. -
Did you ever see a success story like this in Thailand?
josephbloggs replied to Celsius's topic in General Topics
Marc Hageleaur, yes, he did very well for himself. John Stamp too - came here with nothing and now sits on top of a business empire worth millions and employs thousands. He likes to spend time now chilling out on his super yacht, although is still in the Londoner most weekdays. https://oceanmagazine.com.au/counter-current/ Those are just two people I know personally. I have another friend who came here 15 years ago with nothing and is now worth over $10m from businesses he has started in Thailand. He keeps a very low profile though and doesn't make YouTube videos about himself. Really not sure what the point of this post is. Is the OP trying to say you can only be successful in India and not here? Because that is obviously nonsense. If you are smart you can be successful. There are countless foreigners who have made millions here. -
Economy Vietnam Tourism Threat Looms: Could It Overtake Thailand?
josephbloggs replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Why do you think that my nephew and his girlfriend who came to visit and spent three weeks in Thailand and two in Vietnam are Thai? Weird assumption. They are both English. Most of the people voting down are the grumpy old men here who hate Thailand (you are included in that). Most people who've been to both and are not blinkered by hatred think Thailand has more going for it. But you are entitled to your own opinion. Wonder why you're not living in Vietnam?
