Call the hospitals. they'll let you know how many died after the fact. I know of 5 that did after going to the hospital just in my girlfriend's tesaban, as she works for them.
No one is denying that people die in hospitals after road accidents. Jeez.
Please share your evidence that only deaths at the scene are counted in the statistics. As someone else said this is an oft repeated myth that NOBODY has ever provided a single link for, nor shared a shred of evidence. It can’t be hard, surely?

Even for AN this is a particularly petty and ridiculous thread.
- Man goes in to 7-Eleven. Man buys bin bags (for what, 100 baht?).- Next day man decides he doesn't need bin bags but instead of keeping them for when he does, man goes back to 7- Eleven to try to exchange them for something else because his 100 baht is important. Seriously, who does this?
- Man expects Thai staff to understand his unusual English request. Man insists (in English). Then we are to believe that people started shouting and swearing at him for no reason. I don't buy that at all.
- Rather than feeling stupid for causing trouble, man then goes home and posts an angry rant on AN blaming "Thai hospitality".
Man is weird. Man is entitled. Man needs to look in the mirror. But no, man is innocent and this is all the Thais fault.
Honestly, read the thread again and tell me it is not ridiculous. I would be embarrassed to even write a post like that. I would be embarrassed to admit I even tried to take some bin bags back to 7-Eleven for an exchange in the first place! Wow, just wow.

7/11 return policy:
Returns & Exchanges Guidance
Your item must be in its original unused condition to be returned, unless there is a manufacturer defect. You must return the item within 30 days of your purchase. Discounted sale items and gift cards are final and cannot be returned or exchanged. To determine if you are eligible for a return, follow the steps below:1. Email [email protected] with your Order Number and specify which product you would like to return. We will get back to you as soon as possible with return instructions.
2. Once the return has been received by our warehouse, a refund will be issued.
If you're looking to exchange an item, follow the steps above and place a brand new order!
*Some items may not be eligible for returns or exchanges. Items stated as final sale are unable to be returned or exchanged.
7/11 return policy in America. There I fixed it for you as you copied from the US site. It has absolutely nothing to do with Thailand.

As the electric will need to be paid for I think you're a hopeless dreamer on plugs in condos connected to your own condo meter / bill. Possibly, third party install. I see theft, rats nest of wires, bickering and fighting.
A solution in search of a problem... don't even get me started on BS solar and wind.
Wow, Donald Trump has an AN account!!

Ahh sorry Maybe in what ever is your first language "tongue in cheek" was not taught in school.
But yeah If I has a coupla lazy mill... the Raptor would be in my garage not the over priced sewing machine.
Sigh. Why do diesel lovers always use childish terms like "sewing machines"? It just shows you have no interest in debating at all, your mind is made up and zipped closed.
Mine was also made up until I spent time with a (fast) EV. Have an open mind and you can be surprised.QuoteFWIW the Raptor has a crappy 10 speaker Bang & Olufsen system
I didn't know that. I have driven a top line Everest and it had a terrible sound system so I assumed the Raptor would be the same.
The other facts about it being plasticky, slow, noisy and smelly still stand even if it does have a decent sound system.- 1

Thanks. The quoted 0-100km/h is certainly impressive, particularly for the price! The top end at 180kph not so much unfortunately. Any idea as to why they limit these cars so much as they’re obviously capable of going much faster. To preserve the battery perhaps …
For reference purposes, here’s a comparison between the ‘slowest’ 992 gen (base) 911 and the quoted performance stats for the fastest ex30:
992 (base):
power: 385ps
power/weight: 253 ps/t
0-100: 4.2 (quoted)
0-100: 3.2 (actual, source: fastestlaps)
top speed: 293kph
EX30 Twin Motor:
power: 434ps
power/weight: 223ps/t
0-100: 3.6 (quoted)
top speed: 180kph
Ignoring the fact that Porsche massively under rate the performance statistics of their cars, I’d say that the slowest 911 is certainly faster, even potentially in a straight line. Can’t deny that the EX30 is a performance bargain though, interesting times!
The 180kmh cap is a global Volvo safety thing, nothing to do with the battery. I think it was brought in in 2020 - they limit all their cars to a 180kmh top speed: petrol, hybrid, electric - and it is part of their pledge to eventually have zero fatalities in a Volvo car. Not sure I agree with it, but I rarely feel the need to go over 180kmh on the road these days (have done it plenty of times in my younger days).
I should point out that although the ex30 is very fast it is kind of ridiculous talking about it in comparison to a 911. A 911 is a pure bred, highly focused, mid-engined sports car. An ex30 is a small family SUV. Totally different beasts, but alas, we do live in interesting times and I am all in favour of them.
Even in comparison to a 911 the EV performance is addictive as it is instant, it is such a different feeling. I rented this beast for 24 hours in Dubai to race up and down some mountains and it was incredible. Faster on paper (0-100kmh in 3 seconds) but there's a lag, albeit small. A fast EV has no lag and just feels faster. Having said that I would take the 488 Italia Spider over the Volvo in an instant. ????- 1

But instead you have posted a picture of something that is dirty, noisy, smelly, slow, and has a massively plasticky interior with vastly inferior tech and no premium materials or luxury additions like a Harmon/Kardon sound system, or unrivaled passive and active safety systems. This is called "much worse". Easy mistake to make.
Next time look for someone asking for something worse, or more old fashioned. Happy to help!- 1

That would bring it up to 1.9mil THB, at this price point, are there any other better options out there? Would the twin motor also incur higher tax/insurance cost etc?
Yeah, 1.9m. For the price I don't think anything can match it for spec and performance although I could be wrong.
I am also interested in looking at the BYD Seal when it arrives here as that also appeals, but depends on what the spec is like. -

Agreed... Slow cooking brings out the deepest flavours.
That depends on the degree of detail and effort you go to make it.
From choosing the best tomatoes, to fresh cashew nuts, to churning then sieving the final sauce so that what you are left with is a rich silky smooth sauce.
Au contraire...
All part of the process... for many Indian recipe's there are two main processes, the meat and the Gravy.
For my butter chicken I make the paste (Ginger & Garlic paste, Red Chilli & some salt) and coat the chicken in the paste (leave it over night or at least a few hours) - then cook (fry) & seal in the flavours.
Make the sauce in the same pan the meat has just been cooked in.
The result is an outrageously good 'Butter Chicken' that is a very far cry from anything that could be described as 'bland'....
Tikka Masala is a little different, char grilling the marinated chicken adds the charcoal flavour and an additional layer of depth and quality.
I don't make my own Naan bread - I just can't get that as good as the restaurants.
That does look good.

What are the trim options you would choose?
Core/Ultra
Single/Twin Motor?
At 1.6mil starting price, looks good for a conti EV.
Definitely the Ultra for me - I need the creature comforts and I need the Harmon Kardon sound system.
And definitely the twin motor - I need to enjoy that performance.- 1

Not fine to me. Not sure what your Trinkism is supposed to mean - because we are in Thailand we have to cook in filth?
I can't abide a dirty kitchen, even as cooking I clean as I go so it as clean when I finish as it was when I started.

I just tried Patak's when I was back in the UK recently and was impressed. I bought some jars back with me but good to know you can get them here. Normally I never cook from a jar but will make an exception for this. I was told that many mid grade Indian restaurants in the UK also cook from Patak sauces or pastes.
But can I please make a request? Clean your cooker man - it's filthy!

Yes, so do I. It really annoys me, especially when I have experience in what they are talking about and they don't.

All EV fires ???? counts, just wait until Somchai uses his brothers welding kit as charger, fix a few cables DIY style, little Nut spill her soda pop down the dashboard, rats ???? get a taste for Chinese cable insulation, the uneven Thai roads kiss ???? the underside of the battery pack at 120 km/h, raw sewage water ???? fill the soi where you parked over night, not to mention the infinite different ways Thais generally manage to crash cars at a daily basis.
Strap in, interesting times ahead.

I bought a Mars bar yesterday but i didn’t eat it. I’m going to go and take it back now and demand they exchange it for some M&Ms. There’ll be Hell to pay if I shout at them in English to do it and they don’t understand what the hell I am on about. I might even come on here and complain about Thai hospitality!!
