Haha, I had to giggle but yes, I do think I will have fewer distractions. Mainly because I don't have to work so much to actually pay for rent, food, etc. It's just way too expensive in Switzerland if I anyway just mainly want to stay at home and working on my music.

Getting hired by a Thai friend was just an idea, maybe it would have been the easiest way to get what I want. As I said, I don't know - I'm currently just playing with ideas I have.

Thanks for the recommendation for the elite visa! I just looked into it and it would have been perfect for 1 year. Paying 500k Baht for 5 years, from which I only need one, is a bit expensive though.

So you think it would be hard to still work as a freelancer for my swiss customers in Thailand? I thought maybe it's an advantage to get a business visa easier when working independently (and pay taxes of course), but if this is more complicated I would save money first and reconsider the elite visa. (or just chose another country)

Cut your idea to 9 months and it is possible on tourist visa

Corruption?  I don't know if she is guilty or not but from my perspective there is a lot more corruption going around than just her. As the saying goes " let him who has no sin be the first to throw the first stone "  I know that is wrong but as close as I can get. I read a year or so back at story that the current PM now had something like over a billion in a foreign bank. The guy was a retired General?

Take the blinders off and anyone with any sense could see where this was going from the beginning. If you are surprise she had a plan B in place wake up and smell the coffee.

There is a storm coming after this year and it will sweep everyone into it but regardless I'm here for the long haul.

I read a year back doesnt cut it,pathetic slander.Prove it in court.

All this is doing is keeping the lid on the pot.

I haven't seen any policy, of the government, that seriously addresses the root causes of division in Thai society. Until Thailand seriously addresses the imbalance between the Haves and Havenots then the pot will continue to simmer.:crying:

Try the world mate, every country the same. The havenots in any country have to seriously stand up for months and prepare to die. Some countries it works.Syria it didn't.

"Just shoot them", words heard spoken by Abhisit before 90 people are killed? Tried and acquitted.

Lucky they have got new armament's for the military. If all else fails hop on the sub.

Without the critique of the public, a Government will never know how effective their policies are. So if one speaks out they will be creating national dis-harmony, with the possible outcome of some intervention by the military court.

Dont try and change history. He didn't say those words so he was acquitted. You and i weren't there so can't comment.

Why don't they follow the Shit trail to where it comes from and Prosecute the offenders and make them fix the problem. Cleaning the beach will only last for a day or two. They will stop doing that and the Shit will be there Again. ):

Some of us where idealistic like you diggger, back in the 70-80's.Same shittrail then as now.We tried and we're even threatened for bringing it to attention. You cant beat these people espcially in Chonburi. If Thais want to ruin one of their main moneyearners,up to them.I just moved inland, got a big plot i can control, and have a coupla beach boltholes i can hang in when i want, and seawater i can swim in,and not a f jet ski for 100klms.

Nothing will change the whole country is a rubbish  tip " thais love thailand so they say " but trash goes out the window every second + + the vendors who use the beach to make money should clean the s_ _ te up daily " morning and evenings " criky Bali has been actively doing this since 70s. Not rocket science.

Everytime i see a filthy act i say do they love Thailand or not and point to offending rubbish. The always say yes but never ever pick up rubbish even though bin could be just metres away.I then say they do not love Thailand and walk away shaking my head.

  7. I could have shown you the same pipe in 1986,haven't swam there since. That' 30 years of shit.Jomtein uset to be pristine in the early 90's,now same same not different.Went over to Ko Sri Chang for a break in the 90's Pattaya side filthy, other side ok.Thats only what i can see, imagine whats under the water. The place is an eviromental disaster.Samau's the same, under those beutiful beaches are mountains of water bottles, put there in the 1986,the year i was there plus many more ,i sure. They just dug a humungous whole and threw every days water bottles in there every day. Then they dug another whole and covered 1st hole.Same same, all of Thailand. It is an enviromental disaster, but the tourists only see the topand only for 1 week.Go look out the back of your hotel or resort, you might be surprised. And the workers are exploited to the lowest baht that theycan be paid.Any complaints, sacked, next and so on.And these hotels charge western prices, bloody modern day  corperate thieves. And they knowingly do this for decades on end.Jail is to good for mangdas praying on innocent poor people.

They send a letter to you if the account becomes inactive and request you to deposit funds. Best is to have sufficient money in the account and draw funds at your local ATM that why the account keeps to be active. It will cost you with drawl fees but its better than having to get a new account.

You are right, the send letter to Thai Address, not much good if you live in farang land

What about the drivers of meterless taximeters that clog up Pattaya's parking spaces waiting for a well-heeled sucker?

Hasn't the world run out of suckers yet? There must a bottonless pit somewhere.

Did they check the drivers to see if they knew a few important road rules?

I still shudder when I think of the 'driver' taking us to the giant Buddha in Phuket.  It's a winding road and NOT the place to overtake slow trucks on blind corners and double white lines.

This guy obviously trained in a kamikaze school.

Have you a death wish.I put a personal ban on mini vans 15 years ago.You let somebody else drive, you have lost control of the situation.Sure i go with Thai mates, but i trust them all.
