What about the escort agencies that are obviously run by foreigners and openly advertising prostitution services including Russian women online?

There are Pattaya escorts, Bangkok escorts, Chiang Mai escorts and now even an escort quick booking website that are also obviously run by foreigners all in perfect English. Surely these prostitution outfits are just as illegal as onlne gambling outfits, so how do these gangs stay in operation and manage to be ignored by the RTP?

This sounds like double standards whereas they pick and choose what illegal online services is a crime and which ones can be ignored and operate with impunity.

You pay the service fee your in.

by far the biggest criminal activity carried out in Pattaya by westerners is drug dealing and they are not hard to spot, usually under 50 - have no possible income from outside Thailand - are staying for long periods (usually on overstay or visa runs) - some are over 50 and still have no income from outside Thailand and are getting illegal extensions through agents, all the authorities have to do is look into their income (where it comes from) they also usually have form from their home country

Indians are also at it usually fronting their drug business with either a restaurant Tailor or tour company

If you know so much, report it,be a good citizen,.

This is not news; it has been common knowledge for years. What would be newsworthy is a concerted and continuous strategy to drive all such miscreants out of Thailand. We all know that this won't happen and we all know why.

Cast your minds back to the Tony Kenway assassination and ask yourselves how that resolved itself, or not.

God forbid a casino some people keep pushing for Patts, that would be the last nail and i've seen plenty.

    Pib is correct.

Your bank will issue a credit card withdraw fee between 2-5%

    Choose your ATM wisely.

Citibank: Maximum withdrawal limit 50’000 THB

Krungsri Bank: Maximum withdrawal limit 30’000 THB

Thai Military Bank: Maximum withdrawal limit 30’000 THB

CIMB Bank: Maximum withdrawal limit 30’000 THB

Bangkok Bank: Maximum withdrawal limit 25’000 THB

I know for sure you can take 25k out twice,if your quick at Bangkok Bank, even though you have a daily limit of 25k on it.Just ask the atm skim scam guy who ripped me.I asked the the bank, what's the use of 25k limit,no reply.

It proves the old adage, "There are none so blind as those that will not see."

I think Donalds skin could split open, revealing the devil inside, and his dumb supporters would be like "Yea! Donald! He has come to drag those pesky Democrats down to hell."

If they lose the donald, what else have  they got.Realy shows what a hopeless  lot of Prezidential  hopefuls the 1st 19 were and he beat the lot by glitze and bs,what a system ypu have there.

I guess the time is coming. Go back to your own old fashion business and leave the White House to REAL politicians. And stop doing monkey business with a country that has a great reputation and it definitely does not need "you" to become great again.

This country has always been great and will be.

See you are a fellow travellor of the Donald.YourPrez is going down, only a matter of when.

In 99’ I held the position as an ‘ajarn’ at a prestigious Bangkok university.Class attendance for students was a possible option. If a student was a TV star or the latest monthly model then class was not necessary. Other occasional or no-show students included the football team, other sport teams, the seemingly daily special university activity to celebrate something, rich kids, not feeling well, didn’t have a car excuse, traffic jams and the list goes on. Had a student show up for the final exam. Which was fantastic, I finally got to meet him. He got a zero.

But not for the course. There was a committee (that I was not on) to determine the final grade for each class. No idea why. In the end, this one day student received an A for the course.

I also taught a few graduate classes at a large Thailand university. Same, same…

That's why a uni degree in Thailand is worthless.

Buying sex in Thailand is akin to buying a glass of beer in Germany

or a hotdog in NY, and who's among us is to cast the first stone?

but is sound completely more sinister when it comes to the Hi-so

and the leaders of this country.....

You missed the point. It would be illegal for a 10 year old to buy a beer in Germanyas it is illegal to have/buy sex in most countries in the world,if you are underage, includinging Thailand.

    I agree.

No need for such conduct. Bloody disgrace.

These times are not the dark the ages!

    Bloody power crazy idiots.

Its simply a reflection of how depraved so called professional people plus private individuals are, when they force their hidden weaknesses and insecurities on those they consider under them, lower than them, the weak ones, where in fact, they are the low life!

    Power trip.

  10. Mophine does work for but only just.I get 6 hours  then have another long 6 hours to wait for the next dose. The panadine  fortes were perfect, just rolled on.The constipation is/was bad,but the once every 3 days pain was the trade off for pain free for 3 days.

As i said Sheryl, the post op is ok,it is because of laying in bed nearly all day and also have something to do with kidney stones, yet tp find out.

.I thought i read this year that some young fool was a living skeleton and his gf put it up on FB. and Prayuth stepped in,bannning all, instead of letting hospitals just sell them with presciption from doctor.

I'm off for my little walk down the corridor, the longer i stay up the better, but it is exhaustong.

    Thank for the advice.

  11. I am in Surin General hospital, flat on my back at the moment. The problem with my back has been fixed.I have this all consuming ache up to 8/9 out of 10,in my lower back. Can you get  paracetemol 500 mg,codinene phosphate 30 mg  from any hospital these day,not from Surin.A nurse just came in with morphine tablet10 mg,i will try that.

I know Prayuth banned para/codine back at the start of the year, but i thought that was just for over the counter.I bought 4 packets in Siem Reap as a back up supply but am on the last of those and starting too  get get desperate. They are perfect for me,2 tabs,3 times a day. Before i got to hospital, the  local doctor was giving me tramadol,3 times a day and that seemed to work.It took a long time to sort the problem out,mri eventually. He inadvertantly gave me doublele dosage of tramadol once and have just started taking 2 instead of 1,this helps a bit, pain 3-5 but only lasts 6 hours,2 hours short of the magic 8.I know this is masking the problem, which could be kidney stones, but i have bigger fish to fry at the moment, namely cancer at the point where it cracked L2 vertabtae and another open absess on my left shoulder which we are waiting on biopsy but possible cancer.

My question is,any body know where i can get paracetemol/ codinene legally in the Surin area, illegal,pm me.I have got the missus scouring Prasat at the momemt and will get somebody to do the same in Surin.Maybe the morphine tablet will do the trick and all will be well but with that comes constipstion which i just managed to get rid off ater 5 days on the drip after op.wont take the 1st morphine tablet until tonight after double dose tramadol wears off. Thanks for any suggestions,Trev.

Yeap, the mototaxi drivers are maniacs and foreigners quickly pick up all their bad habits, most emphatically including excessive speed in situations demanding extra caution and sensible speeds.  The fact of the accident demonstrates that excessive speed was at least a factor, but defensive driving just isn't part of the much vaunted "culture".

Do you notice that a Thai will pull out onto a road and stop if they she something, where most farangs, stop or nearly stop at a corner, look and proceeded if appropriate.Matter of seconds, but that is all it takes.

Looks like the old guy made an illegal crossover. The poor guy on the fast bike could have gone slower but the guy doing the illegal crossing was wrong. I hate it when people go against the flow of traffic.. do U turns the other way around and just cross roads where they cant cross roads.

Just crazy of locals crossing on a spot like that just to save a bit of money on fuel. We got a spot like that here too.. if they use the normal U turn it would be just 200 meter further up.. but that would mean an extra 400 meter.. and no that is too much so going against traffic is a better option.

I learn to adapt.. but its quite unsafe.

All what you say is true Rob,but you drive to the conditions right and wrong.Be defensive, dont take anything for granted.

Yes, house built 12 years ago we have a big garden and a big gleaming white Spirit House set with real gold leaf keeping the structures looking 'as new' through the years.

Yes, we dress the SHs on major religious days as a husband and wife and I say a prayer each morning at both as part of my daily pre-breakfast routine. We also have another Thai Style house with two SH sets, one large and one small. The large on is in the main garden and the small one just outside our boundary wall on a thin triangular verge. Second was a result of yet another Buddhist guru's recommendation.

Your Thai wife would not object to having a SH I assume? The difficulty is finding a genuine person to direct the installation since the houses and therefore the images within should face in an auspicious direction usually, but not always, eastish. We have had some mumbo-jumbo charlatans in my opinion. There is always someone in the locale who will dress up in a white cotton pyjama suit for a suitable fee!

You mean somebody that really knows his fairy tales as one that only makes it up as he goes. The former charges accordingly.

This is one of so many sad stories here in Thailand. It can be a very lonely place in later life if you have little or no friends, partner or money.

Help is possible to find here if you need it but you have to want it also.

I am laid up in hospital nowfor 8 long days, flat on my back and more to go.Plenty of family and friends have come to do the hard yards, clean my arse, ect. It's all about the foundation you lay when you get here.
