  1. I am all for the loose internet laws most countries have, but a government should always be looking for the good of the children.

So you're not for loose laws, and parents can take far better care of themselves and their children then any government.

Your could be a speech writer for new Labour with such twisted Newspeak as that.

  2. Members of the Triumph trade union in Thailand demonstrate in front of the German Embassy in Bangkok on August 13, 2009.

I know nothing of Thai unions, but surely the fact there is a union is enough to put these workers to the top of this company's list when it comes to lay offs, so they can relocate to a country where workers wont set up such a thing.

PS They are misguided to go to the German embassy but fair play to them for trying to defend their jobs, not really a whole lot more they could do.

  3. oleary took leeds to champ league semi-final,albeit spending a fortune,at villa not a disaster but not imprssive either.

He then took Leeds to the Championship followed by bankruptcy, ask Leeds fans for their opinion on him!

But it seems as if the worse case scenario is about to happen, the bookies who are never far wrong have stopped taking bets on who will be Newcastles next manager with all the money going on the asshol_e who slagged off Newcastles fans recently and praised Mike Ashley the one and only Joe Kinnear.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...l.html?ITO=1490

There are bids on the table for Steve Taylor and Damien Duff, im not sure it could have been possible to have arranged such a bad scenario.

If this is the case i hope Mike Ashley gets a slap on Saturday, he deserves it.

  4. Bloody 'ell I just trawled through some of those messages. Makes me a bit suspicious if the people knocking Molly Malone's are 1) the same people that knock any successful business 2) Never eaten there before but are just ramping up their 'friends' business or 3) can only afford to eat rice off the side soi food cart and are just jealous of the rest.

    1. Ive knocked here and Soi 8 pub as being terrible after trying them both and have described what was wrong with both dishes, each dish was so bad it would be of great surprise if the rest wasnt of a similar standard. Please try the Lasagna at Molly's then go to Via Vai on Soi 8 order the same dish (same price) and let me know if you can tell the difference. If i went to a place with impeccable food in LOS i'd recommend it as i would like it to stay in business.

    2. I dont know anyone in LOS with a business.

    3. I dont eat Thai food, but will gladly spend whatever is necessary to enjoy a meal, but you're hardly eating in the upper echelons of Bkk's restaurants at Mollys, so are hardly in a position to knock people who eat what ive been told is often very good street food.

In the last 5-10 yrs many Chefs have bought pubs in England and are selling very good food, its in our interest to get pub food in LOS which is often more expensive then here up to a similar standard!

  6. Bomber Oleary has failed with flying colours at Leeds and wasnt too hot at Villa, hence why he cant get a job.

Getting OLeary seems like a similar managerial decision that Fred Shepherd made when he brought in Souness who was brought into sort the players out, and IMO that is when this mess really started as he alienated the then best player in Bellamy and spent 40 mill plus silly wages on crap like... ie Boumsong, Owen, Luque, Babayaro.

If Mike Ashley hadnt made so many fcukups you'd accept his decision, but whoever he brings in will just be a stop gap, the club will still be rudderless and will end up costing millions when he can sell the club.

Should a new owner come in by the end of the week and get a manager with a decent track record in, that isnt Shearer Keegan or anyone with a connection to Newcastle im sure the fans would be more then happy, but at the moment IMO Shearer is the best bet.

Ashleys spokesman Lliambas said at the end of last season that the best thing theyve done at this club was appoint Shearer, but as Shearer told them what needs doing to get back in the league Ashley obviously didnt like it and put the club up for sale, then he's continued to <deleted> the club up to a level that has never been seen before.

But who knows what can happen at this mess of a club in the coming weeks!

  7. Why is it that only Micky44 has said WOMEN. ?? I really did think about 90% would have come here for them :)

Becuase the first few times i went to LOS i never had too much to do with Thai women and used to pull the often ignored but extremely good looking European in their early 20s ....... but i still kept on coming back.

But no matter where i go women are always of interest, they dont half look and smell nice!

  8. This post has been edited by soundman: Today, 2009-08-12 09:28:10

Reason for edit: Removed more profanity and name calling.

The quote put in a politer way was larger people and large Americans who find delight in the size of a portion as opposed to the taste.

  9. Realistically only Manure, ManCity, Liverpuddle, Arsenal and the small team from West London have a chance of winning the league.

Now if you cant name your own team which of the above would you want to win the league this year ????

I will go for Arsenal as they havent bought their way to the top and they play almost perfect football at times ... followed by ManCity as it will annoy Fergie! :)

  10. I am not to up to date but I dont understand having to be out of the UK for at least 9 months a year for the next 5 years to avoid paying tax. In fact I know people who have been out of the UK for less than 1 year and are payed tax free into a UK bank account, which by filling in the appropriate tax form at your bank you can get the pittance of an interest rate the banks now give, tax free.

I spoke to a very helpful fellow from Inland Revenue and he advised me that i had to stay out the country for this amount of time to get the NT tax code (NT = No Tax), though you are right in that you can live outside the UK in the first year after notifying the Inland Revenue and not have to pay any tax.

As for health issues i'm fairly young so am not intending on any major disease for a good few years but just in case i will get private health insurance.

Another reason to live in LOS is every day is t shirt weather, this is the 3rd wash out summer in a row here in Blighty.

  11. You dont fear violence in BKK ??? to the level in the UK ,, I dont know your experience of the land of fake smiles but believe me I have been N. S , E , and west ,,,,,,,tread very carefully.

Of course i am aware of the excessive violence in LOS but there isnt the mindless random violence that has made every UK town and city a no go area at the weekend unless you wish to take your life in your hands, besides im bigger then most Thais. :)

  12. This place does the worst burgers in BKK, it was huge with more crap inside the worlds driest burger that fell apart then ive ever seen in my life ....... its one of those burgers that <snip> think is edible because its huge ...... then there were enough horrible chips on the plate to feed the 5000.

Via Vai 20 metres away is where its at!

Sam Mig, Soi 8 offers some good food. I wouldn't strictly judge it on it's burgers - which I myself do not like from there. Plenty of other things on the menu that are fine.

For a drinking and sport watching pub its a good venue, i'll have to have another look next time im in town.

  13. San Miguel, your manners and style (now deleted by the MOD) speak for themselves... You obviously have the same taste in food.

I didnt call you a name, i just said it was food that would be found ok by larger people.

My style and manner was response to your insinuating that i wish to ridicule this business for my own personal gain ... though i have seen you accuse others before of having an agenda.

  14. There are some people here on TV who say a lot of bad things about the food at MMs... such as your "absolutely dreadful"...

I've eaten a lot of "dreadful" food at different places around the world... And a lot of the most dreadful I've eaten was in England... (along with some very good pub food there). But to give that description to MM's here in BKK surely is stretching the truth...

I've eaten many meals at MMs, and never had a bad one... And I have no ax to grind one way or the other on this... If I thought their food was bad, or if I ever had a bad meal there, I'd certainly say so. But in my experience, they do a consistently good job...

Maybe you have some other kind of agenda you're trying to pursue...about them...

What agenda you obviously like cr4p food????? i went there i ordered lasagna it had more salt in then the Pacific it was unedible and would have given me sodium chloride poisoning if i ate it ...... but it was a huge portion that would have been too big for 1 person even if it tasted perfect, the girl i was with ordered Thai food and she couldnt eat it as she said it was terrible again a far too big portion ..... its food for Yanks and <snip> who think if its a huge portion its good, irrespective of the taste.

In England I only go to decent pubs with freshly made food as most in the other type of pub (wetherspoons and similar chains) is microwaved or deep fried processed crap out of the freezer, and people who eat it and go back for more need their taste buds testing .... <snip> .....

  16. Theres still many of us living here, even though a few have decided to go home. Why do you want to come here ? No BS, were not here to judge ! :)

Because i have to leave England for at least 9 months of the year for the next 5 years so i dont have to pay income tax, due to the fact i dont wish to pay 1 penny in tax to the LabCon government who steal it or fritter it away.

I could go to America but theyll want me to share my money and its as much a big brother society with no genuine freedom from government.

The rest of Europe is full of socialist governments and they tax you to the hilt, and theyve never appealed to me. ie the Mainland Spain, Ibiza, Majorca, Med lifestyle bit.

Australia is nice but too far from the rest of the civilised world and its full of Aussies, and many are non too bright.

Cambodia is too far out and not yet civilised enough and it doesnt have enough of my western luxuries, the people are nice and fairly genuine but i dont find the women attractive.

So i will be living in LOS shortly on my time off probably about 6-8 months of the year ..... why because i wont pay tax, its fun so long as you dont take it all too seriously, there are lots of fit women in BKK that are available as im still just about young enough to pull them but im not too fussed on having one for a GF, i am wealthier out there and can get taxis and eat out every night and will have a good standard of living .... and BKK is pretty much a westernised city where i dont fear violence to the level i do elsewhere. Plus it has an international airport on my doorstep which will enable me to get to work without having to make stopovers.

  17. ^^^^^^^

You write that all by yourself Bomber, reckon you must have been in class when the rest of the boys in school were out joyriding. :)

Starting to look as if O'Leary could quite possibly be boss in the next few days, if this mornings headlines are to be believed.

Its unfcukenbelievable how one man can make so many mistakes time and time and time again, and then thinks he's going to be OK to go to St James's Park on Saturday.

  18. I have lived here for a few months and just heard how the Russian Arms dealer was arrested, and supposedly the Tamil Tigers leader. There is the obvious insurgency in the south.

Basically, is Thailand a 'Safe Haven' for scum?

But as they were arrested or being looked for this shows theyre not welcome, the UK lets all kinds of despots, murderers and shady billionaire businessmen through the front door.

  19. Redrus

I dont think anyone could care less which team the England keeper plays for, its about England not having a top quality keeper, club rivalry's are forgotten by all when it comes to Englands best 11.

Besides most peoples favourite England players are Ferdinand, Gerrard and Rooney no matter what club they support.

Also we've already said the keepers from Pompey and West Ham arent top quality and City's onloan keeper isnt either.
