  1. I'm talking Steve Harper at Newcastle.

Seriously, if this guy hadn't been so loyal over the years (he's actually 1 yr older than Shay Given), and had moved on when many opportunities arose, he'd have been showcased regularly in the Premiership, and a regular for England.

Our Geordie opinion is : Top 'Keeper, Top Bloke.

He always looked top quality when he was standing in for Given and i thought there wasnt too much in it, but now he's no.1 he can be a bit dodgy now and then ie coming for crosses and cant make some of the impossible saves that Given used to make ..... but Given is the best keeper in the world IMO.

He is no worse then any of the others, but it'd be good to see how he gets on in a full season before making a decision ...... Shilton cost us in 1990 for being too old when he stood still on the German goal, as did Seaman in Japan v the Brazilians, could be 3rd time unlucky with James who is also too old and never was that great even in his prime.

  2. multiculturalism is good for human beings in general, so is good for countries by default.

    Agree 100%.

The only people that benefit from nationalism (the alternative) are liars, cheats and barrstarrds...

So if someone doesnt agree with unlimited immigration they are a nationalist lying cheating bastard ........ you liberals really are vile ....... the only time i'm nationalist is when England are playing football or when a British boxer is fighting, what the <deleted> has there ever been anything to be nationalistic about ....... if asked i wouldnt go to war for this country ...... yet you infer that people who like me who dont agree with your idealogical views on immigration are racist nationalists. :)

  3. If Everton do sell him for what they want youve got to give them credit for playing Man City the way they have, if i were a betting man i'd say he'll be bought before deadline day!

Thing is he isnt anything more then an ok footballer never worth a penny more then 10 million if the market wasnt so distorted by clubs like Man City.

  4. Molly Malones offers the worst pub food ive ever tasted in my life and im from England where most pub food is absolutely dreadful, if Molly's were giving their food away i wouldnt eat it.

Ive had the Lamb at Bullies and it is good, but the veg is limited and the roast potatoes are them deep fried things.

I usually go to the Bulls Head for roasts its not great but it just about passes the test, and is reasonably priced.

  5. just when you thought it couldn't get any worse that self-obsessed gobshite o'leary appears on the horizon. there's a reason he's been out of work for several years you know mister ashley.

The word is Kinnear was offered it 2 weeks ago but said he would have to wait 3 months before he is fit again so he turned to ODreary, no doubt theyre drinking buddies or have some similar connection.

I'd sooner Hughton stayed in charge at least he comes across as a genuine fellow, ive always despised O Leary he's just another self obsessed charlatan of a manager, he's hardly the long term answer to Newcastles problems and will no doubt cost many millions when he's sacked and when the next manager has to come in and sell whatever players he buys as theyre not suitable.

I really dont know what will become of Newcastle if he doesnt sell the club by the end of the week. :)

  6. He got a 200,000GBP golden farewell when he was at Bournemouth only months before they went into admin, i believe he is despised by their fans because of this!

When it was said that 2 premier league managers had their hands in the till during the BBC investigation, it was so obvious he was one of the managers, and as Souness was at the corrupt Newcastle who bought players for twice their value from 1 exclusive agent it was fairly obvious he was into it aswell.

Pity theyll never be brought to account for stealing the fans money.

i never thought souness, though he has had some dealings with that dodgy fuc_ker willie mckay. i assumed it was redknapp and allardyce.

Yes sorry it was 3 managers brought in i forgot about Allardyce, whatever Souness was up to at Newcastle it was with the knowledge of Freddie Shepherd who also had his hands in the till.

Allardyce had his boy on the payroll didnt he?

  7. Many tyrant leaders have and are being tried at the Hague for crimes against humanity for mass killings and torturing whilst they were in power ..... the UN were well aware of the killings of alleged drug dealers in Thailand under Thaksins governance...... so why has he not been arrested and tried for crimes against humanity and couldnt Thailand as a nation request his arrest because of this and not the land scam or whatever it is that he has no problem running from?

  8. I think Lawros a <deleted> anda failure of a coach, if you see his week to week predictions he has Man U Liverpool Chelsea and Arsenal to win every single game where it is possible.

  10. Whilst it is sad to see any team in such a mess, this might force a few Premier League teams to have a serious look at their finances. P-Pompey may end up the first Premier League team with a points deduction for going in to administration, but I don't think they will be the last.

I'm thinking 9 points deducted is getting of likely for what is basically a form of cheating.

The reason other then they service their debt that Man U arent likely to go into admin is the club is worth far more then the debt, clubs like Pompey who are in need of a new ground and go between leagues are just a money pit.

  11. Pompey due to go in to administration in the next couple of days with a -9 point penalty. Still 5-2 to be relegated if anyone wants a quick flutter before the odds fall. Thank me in May when you get your winnings.

Would seem so, i cant understand why this Arab geezer would want to buy them the fact its gone on for so long shows that there is a problem.

Its Harry's spending thats got them in this mess, wonder if their fans would have wanted that FA Cup win if they knew the cost was going to be administration and probable relegation.

Miss Thailand, Chutima Durongdej, poses during a swimsuit event in Freeport, Grand Bahama island, Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009. Contestants from 84 countries will compete for the coveted crown of Miss Universe 2009 on August 23.

    I'd marry that!

  13. Go to Cambodia, expats smoking weed at a bar just off the river, no concern at all

Weed stays in your body for about a month, something to do with it lingering in fat deposits, whereas smack, coke and e's are only in the system for a few days.

Does this mean if one were to get urine tested they could get charged for something that they took outside of Thailand?

  14. Ashton failed a medical at Stoke. Zola is "f***ing livid" because he has been assured Ashton is recovered, and wants to know "what the f*** he has been doing for the last year".

But dont they usually agree a fee then he goes for the medical?????

Wouldnt surprise me if the Upson link is a smokescreen for Citeh to get the Lescott from Everton, even Everton must realise he isnt worth 20 million that theyve allegedly been offered, unless they get both!

Who knows that they didn't ??

Good point, pity for the player as he did look like the nearest thing to Shearer since Shearer.

West Ham have been linked with Andy Carroll in the Newcastle press a few times cant see this one being a runner though.

  16. The #1 question really though skipvice is:.......

IS THE GRASS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE?

Bye Bye to the original poster. When you come back don't post on this forum again! If you don't come back I assure you you won't be missed!

Would you be missed if you left? Im doubting any of us would in the greater scheme of things.

He is only giving his opinion on a Thai based forum about his experience of Thailand, and you obviously cant digest what he wrote .... as he commented that he is aware that if he doesnt like it he can leave ... it would seem thats what he is doing.

  17. Ive always thought that a high profile Premier League game would be a perfect target for one of these Muslim terrorist groups, the potential damage with so many people crammed into a small space must have not gone unnoticed by their twisted minds ..... though im sure clubs are well and truly switched onto such a threat.

  18. Good to see we were the better team in what was according to the bookies our hardest game of the season .... Andy Carroll looks as if he be a decent player in this league if he's a decent forward to play with and Krul made some blinding saves!

Ryan Taylor, Collicini and Ameobi are worse then dreadful though, theyre all going to need replacing if Newcastle want to go up .... Ameobi's main input in the game was knocking out his own keeper.

Do you reckon you'll go up this Year San, yes or no ??

If they buy a right back, centre forward and creative midfielder at the very minimum and i had to put my money on any team it'd be Newcastle if yesterdays performance is anything to go by, but we also played very well v Man U one the first game of last season.

And to sell Collocini and get Sol Campbell on a freebie wouldnt be a bad bit of business, his bird is a Geordie and apparantly he is in the area a lot.

But its more likely theyll sell more players and not get anyone in, and rely on the few youth players that are coming through.

Unfortunately that fat useless club wrecking <deleted> Mike Ashley is according to the BBC looking to take the club off the market and get serial failure and fellow wrecker of football clubs David Oleary in as manager, if this is the case i think Newcastle as a club will carry on in limbo for another few years and anything could happen.

  19. At this time, BBC News got hold of a 10-second piece of footage which showed something on fire and some people throwing stuff around. I think it was under a flyover on Rangsit Rd, nowhere near the centre of the protests. For the time the protests were going on they repeated this footage on every single news report because they had nothing else to show. The impression it gave, in the view of my friends was Thailand had descended into a nation of fire-bombing and rioting. This few seconds of footage, repeated, did immense damage to the country, far more so than a reportedly peaceful airport closure.

There was a bus on fire outside my hotel on soi 1 Petchburi Rd, it was a huge riot with the army firing what i thought at the time were real bullets, there were literally thousands of army police up against the red shirts, if it gave the impression to viewers in Blighty or around the world that BKK wasnt a place to go to then it was the correct impression .... I left the following day as it was so potentially very unsafe round there.
