  1. First court hearing is on the 3oth

I was planning leave tueday and come back on the 27th.

I know nobody can tell for sure

Il aks lawyer tommorow but i wont even trust his answer because he is charging me 200 k for this case and will be scared of me leaving and never coming back.I most certainly will be coming back though and fighting this case

150 K baht bail, its because you maybe are not married to a Thai. Baila is according to the judge on indictment day . sometime a farang is asked to pay bail of 200-300 K , even for minor offences( misdemenior) or hitting someone over the head?

  2. Whether you will need proof of residence or not depends upon the office where you apply for the extension.

You need a completed TM7 form with a 4 X 6 cm photo attached. Copies of your passport photo page, visa (if you have one), entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card.

    Arrgh,

I had send my TM47 without a photo, but had send copy of my passport, pic. page and all visa pages and entry "permitted to stay" stamp.

Why do I not get my 90 day report "Receipt of notification " back to me??

I need that receipt to keep in my passport.

Its already 19 days from the expiration of my 90 days report ( due on 30 April, send by EMS on the 25th of April to Mae Sai Immigration.

What happen if the mail got lost ( I have the EMS receipt, or the receipt RT got lost ? Any repercussion from the Immigration??

    pls advise

I had also send to the immigration my last receipt of Notification for the 90 day report

I guess I posted in the wrong topic, but never mind replies are welcome

  5. now that we are in the clear with the validity of a passport, its 6 month from the day of entering Thailand....

how about the pages remaining in a passport when getting ( any visa) - on arrival- or others???

I still have 6 empty pages left and got in February my 1 year extension of stay ( visa)

I must soon apply for a new passport in Bangkok? I am a German national and have a retirement visa.

Another thing, I had send on April 25 my 90 day report to get a extension of the permit to stay ( the 90 day report was due on the 30th of April, I had send the TM47 together with my last receipt of Notification to Mae Sai immigration but have not heard from them ever since, I need the receipt of Notification to keep in my passport for any eventuality, what to do, to call the immigration is bothersome as the English of the official there Is maybe not so good??

Anybody has a similar problem with mail from the Immigration 'Next time I do the 90 day report on-line.

    pls advise

  6. I like that they are selling the coupon with "Not for Sale" clearly printed on it! Most likely not a problem though as the immigration guys don't really look at them in detail (I only hand over when specifically asked). As far as I know there is nowhere at the airport just to buy one on arrival.

Ask when checking in the flight,

just for the record. To get in the line of fasttrack at Suvarnabhumi airport you can do it if you over 70 years old. Its written on the counter of the immigration que ( fasttrack), or if you fly business or first class, show your boarding card, or if you have small children with you or if you are visible pregnant , sick/ disabled in a wheelchair/ on crutches or, if you are a cleric, take your pick.

I qualify, or show them your yellow Tambian Baan book, or just smile.

  7. You are not reading it "right"

    • To begin with you need a single entry non immigrant "O" visa obtained from a Thai Embassy/Consulate outside of Thailand.(or by way of "conversion" from a TV or visa exempt entry)
    • During the last 30 days of the 90 day stay the visa will provide you apply for an "Extension of Stay based on retirement (It is NOT a visa)
    • During the life of the extension every 90 days a report is made to immigration
    • If travel outside Thailand is undertaken a re-entry permit must be obtained to keep the extension alive.
Ok so that clears up the entry visa issue, the rest i think I've got report every 90 days. And apply for a re entery permits everytime you leave, i take it that as long as you behave yourself its a given you get the re entery permit.

" I take it that as long as you behave yourself it;s a given you get the re-entry permit" sounds bad to me , e.g, if you get into problems with your neighbor and itgoes to court and a fine was implied and a 3 month jail sentence was suspendet has thatall implications.

The neighbor a bar lady from Pattaya set up a Larb Moo joint but at night uses the place as a bar, Karaoke ( open air) and plays very loud music, I complained to her and she said " this is my country and if you dont like it here you Hau ab she said in german where she worked the nightclubs until she was expelled??? !!! Now That was sheer provocation because the lady of the night likes my/ our place and i have also a restaurant but the low lifes in this small town made a lot of noise and I closed the Place.

  9. I have a Non-O , Multible entrance visa, obtained in Germany at the Thai consulate on 04.09 2014. Says enter before 03.09.2015.

Stamped by the immigration upon returning 15 Dec. 2014 to Thailand at Suvarniphum airport permit to stay for 3 months.

On the 24 Febr. 2015 I got a permit to stay by the immigration in Mae Sai and a M re-entry permit valid 14 March 2016.

I did not leave Thailand during 2015 and first 2 months of 2016.

I did my 90 days reports by mail and got my last permit to stay extendet until April 10 2016.

    I am a bit confused

My last 90 day report and extension of stay was on 06 February 2016,and a re-entry permit issued on the same day.

I do sofar not intend to leave Thailand for a short period soon, but need a re entry visa anyhow, just to have it, in case.

Should I obtain a new retirement visa/ permit to stay before March 14 2016 with all the papers and copys and a new Re-entry permit ?? Or will the original Non-O be extendet again for 1year with the proof of bank deposit and in my case the letter from my embassy proof of income, pension deposited in my bank account in Germany monthly about 25.000 Baht (valid for 6 months) issued in January 2016 , I withdraw money here in Thailand by ATM or got money from my savings account in Singapore also by ATM.

I must show now a bankdeposit in the Thai bank for at least 3 months, about 450.000 Baht and the letter of income in Germany, of 25.000x 12 months combined proof of money is 800.000.- Baht

    Please advise

  10. Money transfer from abroad, have requested freuently of moneytransfers from Singapore where I park some of my money and have received all the remittance on time ( not always),

the request from me is always made by written letter with all my particulars, mostly the same text beside the amount and account numbers, K bank in Bankok and the province where I live. my name , DOB, from which account to what bank, my name of the account, PP number, date of birth ,SWIFT name, do asap by TT and the reason of transfer ( family support), school fees ( university of daughter)

Just in January my bank in Singapore had informed me that the remittance was returned to them because of insufficient details in the transaction, whatever they were bitching about, never gave me a reason.

So I had acall by a bank manager in Singapore what do do now and by telephon !!! he said he will send all my money to me in Thailand into another account with K- bank account which I requested to send it.

The money never was credited and dissapeared somewhere.

U know how hard it is to call some bank in Thailand and be connected with an accountant/ person who speaks english, all K- bank has is a call center ? where I do not know that is and they are useless and never call back, saying they will check upon the transaction (money transfer).

All I know is that any amount of oer 10.000.-tenthousend USD received and credited in my account in a Thai bank here, must be reported to the central bank, what he annual limit is i do not know, please comment on my quote.

  12. thanks people are really helpful on this thread

So. Am i reading that right 800, 000 baht ie about 20,000 sterling in a Thai bank account for 3 months will get you a retirement visa?

Sent from my GT-I9000 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Yes if you are at least 50 years of age.

And its an "extension"/"permission to stay" based on retirement for one year.

After having the stamp you can use the money, just make sure the account is filled up again in time for next application.

So again just so i'm reading it right to get the initial stamp the cash has to be the Thai bank account For 3 months and then. You will be allowed a one year retirement visa. after the initial stamp the Cash has to be in the account for For3 months b4 the renewal date. Ie The rest of the time Its available to use if needed. There's no need to report/check in with anyone between the 12 months ? Rather than reply a quick 'like ' will work if I've got it right cheers again folks

Again, on what ground (s) do the immigration offices deny a re- entry visa ?? If it ever happened?

Behave yourself< not to whack the missus once in a while?

  15. why not do a married man yearly extension, 40,000 baht per month income or 400, 000 baht in bank, no combination method allowed. from you figures that should be do-able

Yes, I thought about it, BUT, then it would be no more possible to do the 90 days report by mail???

Other disadvantages, I could in the future not use anymore the option to combine my income with the bank-deposit??!!

400 000 Baht for 3 month in the bank, for married visa and 800 000 for retirement visa.

  16. Great help here,

I have a visa sticker in my passport from the Thai embassy in Germany, a Non immigrant category O multible entry.

After arrival at the airport Suvarnabhumi in Bangkok i got a stamp on the 15 dec 2014, permitted to stay until 14 March 2015, after 3 months in Thailand I went to the immigration office in Mae Sai and got again a proper Retirement visa,

application of stay is permitted up to 14 March 2016, I shall contact the immigration office when my 90 day report is due in February 2016 to clearify the money situation, combination of income and bank-deposit for 2 or 3 months..

I did that before, but last year I went back to Germany before my last visa expired and had to start all over again.

I still had a re-entry visa and wanted to extend it before leaving but it was denied

  17. You do not provide the end of your current stay - that will determine when you have to make extension. You may have to have funds in account 3 months prior to that date to meet the difference between letter of income and the 800k yearly requirement - although the written rule does not mention 3 month rule being required when using combined method many/most seem to believe it should these days.

It needs to have been in account the 3 months when you make the extension of stay if it is required.

    3 month rule applies?

Cannot find anywhere a rule for the combination of income - proof in that case

Letter from embassy is valid 6 months

I must have letter from Bank about my deposit 3 months before applying?

Bit confusing, must happen to other TV members as well.

  18. Your calculation is for the retirement extension (12 times monthly income + bank deposit >= 800k) and is correct.

As you wrote that you are getting short of 800k a bit then you should not have a problem with the combination method.

Retirement extension is easier with documents and normally issued at the spot (no under consideration period).

But as others wrote you could go the "married to Thai national" route.

Which is your office? (which region you live?).

You can apply for the extension a month before your current permission to stay (from the Non O) expires.

Sounds like your first extension after entry (?) in which case the money would only have to be in the account for two months.

I live in the north of Thailand in the Chiang Rai Area.

Mae Sai is my immigration office.

    Thanks or the info.

OK, one month before my Non O expires ( issued in Germany in 2014) expires 14 March 2016) I shall contact the Immigration office again.

My 90 days report is due again on Febr. 2016, very close to the Non O visa expiration.

I guess I can again get a one year extension and pay some money and for the Re- Entry permit.\

I can obtain a letter from my Thai bank that I have 500.000 baht in the account for 3 months about 3 days before applying

  19. I am 70 yers old and a german national living for about 35 years in Thailand, now married with my Thai wife for 22 years, with 2 teenaged kids

It is not clear to me ( and maybe other TV members)? how the immigration officers handle the issue with the bank-deposit ( 3 month prior the due extension of the retirement visa) and other proof of income.

I have already a retirement visa with a Non immigrant O visa from the Thai embassy in Munich Germany.

I had shown the 800 000 baht bank-deposit with all relevant papers and copy's.

Now try a different way as I am getting short a bit on the 800 000 baht in the bank.

Have obtained a letter, valid 6 months, from the German embassy in Bangkok showing my pension income, monthly deposited into my German bank account / proof bank account statement.

It is not the required 65 000 baht amount.

I had to proof that i get such an amount by showing the embassy a yearly statement from the pension office and the yearly increase of same.

Now , say I get 27 000 baht a month paid into my bank, I figured out that I have to show about 465 800 baht in my Thai bank account in March 2016, starting December 14 2015. ( depends on the exchange rate then).

When do I have to start the extension procedure of my yearly retirement visa?

Any help from the members please?!

Sorry is quite a long post !!

  20. what document I need for retirement extension when I

stay in the house of my wife ( not married - but with kids )

    Rental contract,

or is it ok, when my name in the blue hausebook ?

    or both ?

Rental contract and go with yoour (wife) and better take a pic with both of you in front of house

better o have your own Yellow Tambian Baan book, you can get it from the Amphoe, with 2 neighbors or family and the Puyai Baan has to go there too on appointment, minimal cost, great benefit, thai drivers license, application for 30 baht hospital and free medication and hospitalisation (locally) or transport to a better hospital in the next city etc.

you cannot be entered in the Blue Tambian Book even when married,

the embassy of your home- country gives you a letter of residence, valid for 1 year on request

take a letter written by you or gf, take the rental contract or if you stay in the house of wife/girlfriend let her sign it

Download all required paperwork for retirement extension, Thai immigration website tells you.

  21. If you have the money it is easier as said. No need to worry.

The other direction (from retirement to married) may look a bit "suspicious" to the immi ("he does not have enough money any more").

    KhunBENQ,

I am on a retirement 1 year visa, dueto be extended in March 2016.

I still do have the required 800 000 baht for 3 ,month (starting dec 2015) I have a pension in germany paid into my german bank there.

I withdraw money with my AM cards here, have aKasikorn bank account as well where I transfer money into

i will get now a letter from my german embassy about the monthly pension amount and combined with the difference to 800 000K baht get an extension of my retirement visa.

Should I change back someday to a married visa (married legally with my Thai wife and have 2 children) can I do a 90 day report by mail ? as i do now with my retirement visa.

I need soon the 400 000 K baht for my daughters education) shes at a Thai university.

Retirement visa requirement is 800 000 Baht, married visa is 400 000 baht as we all know

  22. According to a post by an visa agency in the web ( name withold for obvious reason) but can be logged -on by searching Embassy visa service or such?

A retirement visa is valid for one year, observing the rule of 90 days reporting.

My visa ( retirement) is valid until mid March 2016.

My 90 day timing is then due in February 2016.

How can i extend my 1 year retirement visa without leaving Thailand?

Proof of means for living 800.000 Baht:

I have a pension from Germany , the money is paid into a german bank and i withdraw Thai baht with my Mastercard or with my Kasikorn bank card as I have an account with them.

How can I proof that I have 65 000 baht available for a month.

Is the money ( Euro) in the german bank a proof for income? Even it is not exeeding 28.000 Baht a month, but the combination of the pension and the deposit in the Thai Bank ( to be deposited for 3 months) prior to the visa application/retirement for 1 year) and say 450.000 bsht in thre bank will get me to the 800.000 Baht

How can I obtain a letter from my embassy, and what do they need? Is one or two (monthly) copy of a bankaccount statement sufficient, I have retained some withdrawal slips from my Thai bank-accounts withdrawals also the Mastercard withdrawal slips here in Thailand

If you have a OA visa issued by an embassy or official consulate in you home country and it is your visa that is expiring in March of 2016 you can do another entry just before the enter before date on your visa and get another one year entry. You would not need to do an extension until 2017 if that is the case. Then if you want to travel after the enter before date you would need a re-entry permit to keep that last one year entry valid.

For proof of income you will need to contact the German embassy as to what they require to get the income letter. If you are on a pension I think you would need to supply proof of it.

If your pension is 28k baht a month you would need 464k baht in a Thai bank to reach the required 800k baht number.

Ubon Joe, great reply cum advise,

I have been there and done that before, BUT, time 's are changing.

Yes ,I have a OA visa issued in Germany in 2014

I had such before but it lapsed in 2014 and I got another non- immigrant visa ( in Germany Type Non /O, and I had it converted in Thailand after the 3 months I got upon arrival in Swampy- snake airport" Khrung Thep" ( the city of the angels)

cost me an arm and 2 legs, and now I am back to square one.

I guess what I mentioned and wrote about the procedure covered a gray area and many members were not so sure about the goings on and I never saw an post questioning that topic.

Some agencys give a free advise about that but there is no such thing as a free lunch

i did not hijack anything but I feelmgreat that some members a ppreciate my mentioning of the procedure to get a retirement visa.

When you fill m-in the e- mail adress of yours and your name to obtain a FRE assesmant of your problem, BOY, you are into it, . Here in the Forum of THAIn- visa at least you are not hoodwinked and some members dont bother togive a free advise, thank you all. Whoever sits on CLOUD NINE, shall bless you.
