  1. Today is the deadline for the  expiring visas of  everybody.

The only way to  extend now is to proof that you are unfit to travel overseas eg to return toyour homecountry is to go to a hospital foe a check-up and get a   examination report from the MD.

If you go to the Bumrungrad hospotal now and get an check-up you be able to return there on Wrdnesday to Bungrungrad hospital and  see the immigration officer here.

If you are over 70 years old and have a critical medical situation heart problem, Diabetes,  high blood pressure, Prostate cancer, or any other cancer ,then ther will be no problem.Let me know by DM how you proceed

  2. Belated but not too late, I hope, my Thai drivers license is expiring on 25 August 2020.

I need to extend the 2 licenses, for motorcycle and sedan.

The licenses were issued in chiang rai, I dont live there anymore, I still have a Tabian Baan for the residency ( Family house)

Now I live in the Rangsit area with my daugher who is stadying here.

She has rented a DORM, in an apartment building for studendts.

She has no contract for the rental, neither do I.

I was informed, in order to get an extension or a new license, I must show a residencial contract.

What can I do now.  Any advise from my fellows?

I got the same email. Thai Airways don't owe me any cash, and I have no flights booked with them.

I do have enough air miles for a return business class ticket to the UK though.

you can  kiss your miles accrued goodbye.

  5. as of july 6 my retirement extension has expired.

I had someone doing it for me since 3 years. Now that person ( a Thai Friend, a lady) is not available anymore.) she sponsored me and put up the annuity/ bank deposit. 2 months ago I made her aware that my retirement extension is due on july 6.

What can I do now? The non O immigrant  visa was based on a visa originally issued in a consulate of a European country.

Total expenditure coming from Chiang Mai was around B13,000 .It would be somewhat cheaper from Bangkok. Yes it would be far easier to do a retirement visa which i had in the past ,and without an agent but this way no funds are required to be shown in a Bank .

Documents i showed . Two photos .Visa application form .Passport and copy showing front page departure stamp and Lao visa page .Signed by me .Original Marriage cert plus copy signed by wife .Wifes name change form original and copy signed by her .Copy only of both her i.d. card ( both sides on same page ) and blue house book .Signed by her .Copy of my yellow house book .Signed by me .Plus B5000 .

BTW, retirement visa   application in Savannaketh, whats  required?

very useful post. Did the immigration ask about a seperate residency or  rental contract ?

I know  my yellow Tabian Baan has all the information, BUT, who knows. Why the 5000 baht fee, is it for an agent?  non O fee in Laos is 2000 baht

Last time  in March I paid an AGENT outside  the  embassy 6000 baht all inclusive for my non Immigr.O visa, its expiring  July 5th  and how can I  extend my stay, I am in Bangkok?

??? total expenditure for the  visa run??

Airticket, hotel ,visa fee,  taxi,  food??

Travel agent here in Bangkok charges me  21000 baht for retirement visa, no need to travel, no need  to leave Thailand takes  2-3 days, no hassle , I am 72 years old tired to travel

This Monday I  shall go To Immigration Chaeng Wattana and ask ( again) for an extension of my Non Immigrant O visa   from  Vientienne, CW is always asking for an address in Bangkok, I stay with my daughter in an Student apartment , she has no  rental contract or tabian Baan.

What can I do  for  an address in Bangkok, I don't want to rent another  apartment.

Going from Bangkok, I either take the overnight VIP bus or fly-ride service to Mukdahan on the way out, and take the fly-ride service returning. The fly-ride journey avoids a long bus journey, but, outbound, the bus schedule is ideal for arriving early morning in Savannakhet for the visa application. Fly-ride on the way to Savannakhet means an extra night (in Savannakhet or Mukdahan) because you cannot arrive early enough for the visa application.

If traveling from other parts of Thailand, the optimum solution might be different.

    great info thnks BritTim

what visa did you get? Or an extension?
