  1. "You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations." "If you’re vaccinated, you’re not going to be hospitalized, you’re not going to be in the ICU unit, and you’re not going to die." - US President Joe Biden, CNN Townhall, June 2021 “Our data from the CDC today suggests that vaccinated people do not carry the virus, don’t get sick.” CDC Director Rochelle Walensky in CNN interview, April 2021
  2. I've been querying most people I talk to lately. Two simple questions: 1) did you take the Covid vaccinations, and 2) have you had Covid. To date, everyone I've asked answered yes to both questions. Neither myself or my wife have had the shots and we have been taking Ivermectin weekly since 2020. We have been around people with active cases of Covid, as well as colds and other upper respiratory infections. Neither myself or my wife have had Covid. And although my wife wears a mask outside the house, I don't. So I'll run with our own anecdotal evidence as I haven't had Covid and for that matter I haven't even had a regular cold since taking it as a prophylaxis. What other people chose to believe is up to them. I just remember all of the quotes from various government officials and Big Pharma experts that "if you get the shots you won't get Covid." Once I'm lied to, you'll never regain my trust. So the wife and I (and a significant number of my own friends and acquaintances) will continue to take the treatment we consider to be safe and effective - Ivermectin as a prophylaxis. For those who wish to take Covid shots the rest of their lives every time a now booster is released? Go for it. Your body; your choice. I wish you well.
  3. Yeah true - Political prisoners are not a homogeneous lot from a single party or affiliation. They are sent there by those who are currently in power regardless of their long-term party affiliation over time.
  4. When your husband leaves - book your own tour. Female sex tourism destination: Greece, Italy, Spain and Croatia in Southern Europe to various Caribbean Islands such as the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Cuba, it is something that occurs in various pockets of the world. Costa Rica, Thailand, Fiji, the Gambia, Kenya
  5. Vijitra - exactly how many Russians have you personally interviewed out of the total number staying in Thailand in order to draw your conclusions? That will separate your own opinion from fact. By the way - foreigners can not buy all forms of "property." What are they buying; whom; what? Be accurate and back your assertions with verifiable facts - like Thai government issued data. Try again but more accurately the next time.
  6. Buddhism. Birth-ageing-sickness-death. Thais are brought up to have a healthier understanding that death is just part of life - unlike Westerners.
  7. With you not living with your wife? It will probably be denied. But - at a minumum she will need to show up every years to attend your annual visa renewal based on marriage. She has to be there - in person. Why not just remain in the US. It's usually the Thai wife who wants to return and live in Thailand, not the farang husband. If they get wind of it Immigration will just consider that you're gaming the system.
  8. Again - enforceablity and fines. The fines are so low nobody worries about enforcement. Heck, a large segment of the population just don't pay the fines. "You'll lose your license!" What license? ???? To get to "the big cities", i.e., Lamphun and Chiang Mai, I do most of my driving on Highway 11. And Boy Howdy, do I see the worst of "kon Thai" driving every time I'm on that road. Now regarding the right-hand fast lane. I had to pass a large truck driving down the right hand "passing lane" along with everyone else on the road who were driving over 80 kph. The truck driver was just poking along at maybe 60 kph. As we came to a U-Turn-Of-Death I figured the truck was in the right lane to make a U-turn. Nope! He passes the U-Turn and keeps poking along in the right-hand lane. Why? Who knows. But it is not uncommon. I see that kind of selfish behavior often enough. I just want to get around people like that as they tend to be unpredictable.
  9. Guess what type of railing "end" is the most prevalent in Thailand? ???? "Ahhhh, the first one maybe?" Yeah, we call that one, "The Spear!" Or how to send undertakers to the undertaker.
  10. But but but! Gambling is EVIL. (well unless it's run by certain special people)
  11. The public needs to run when dynasties take over government.
  12. Undertaking is passing cars on the shoulder usually aggressively and at excessive speeds. If it is a highway with two (or more) lane traveling the the same direction, the same aggressive morons will also attempt passing on the right-hand shoulder. It's just a form of aggressive driving - and aggressive driving can kill. Thank goodness he didn't hurt anyone else.
  13. However, best to be safe. Keep the masks on for the rest of your lives. ????
  14. My wife is doing the same for the same reasons. She is interested in what influence her blood sugar.
  15. To the date stamped in your passport. Nobody that the airport is going to ask you if you're still married.
  16. Good for you. At 70 I can now envision a time where I'll have to call it quits. Not now, but as you said, your reflexes, vision, and attention just change. There comes a point where you really need to hang up the keys. When that day arrives? I guess I'll hire a driver. Wife doesn't drive. She's a great 'back-seat driver' but the thought of actually driving scares her s***less. So? Kudos for knowing your limits.
  17. Somebody steals his car? And like the "Tomboy" who dies in an accident recently (what difference does sexual orientation have in a fatality), what difference does this man's age make. The actual issue is that so many Thais don't seem of have driving skills. That's an issue of training and practice, not age. 69 years old? That's not that old in this day and age.
