The Royal Thai Honorary Consulate in Portland Oregon still has a triple entry tourist visa as an option on the application form there.
Supposedly available. but no idea if it is actually available or not now.
Still supposedly available there in Portland
Check the website and call them and ask if you can get it in Portland Oregon.
That's where I got my original visa in 2007. Could have sworn it was a 6 month visa. Portland consulate staff are top notch and friendly, and not Thai. American employees. Excellent service.

I doubt this is auto-erotic asphyxiation. Seems 'dead guy' had help, but erotic asphyxiation may be the cause. Really can't call it murder if that was the case as there was no intent to kill. Manslaughter? Yeah. A few years in jail, probation which includes staying away from plastic bags, rope, and kinky gay guys.
Still never could figure out how David Carradine ended up doing himself in via auto-erotic asphyxiation while hanging bound in a BKK closet, if I'm remembering correctly. Difficult to get into that position by one's self imho, but than again, police didn't elaboration on the complete scene. He could have had help, and then the end result would look sorta like this.
Dangerous game, but, whatever trips your trigger. Anybody who goes there knows the risks. C'est la vie. Asphyxiation ain't a bad way to go. I can think of worse. -
Are they being told to skip making enough money to make a living by the BKK elites with personal fortunes.
Skip the rice crop and back to 'Occupy Bangkok' methinks.

Sorry for the Australian who is the victim. I guess this is more good publicity for Thailand's tourist industry. Soon tourists will get the message which is "no matter what you do it is your fault." Moving in the direction of Saudi Arabia which can only be a bad thing
Probably has more to do with alcohol and egos. My last venture into a Night Club ended with some idiot foreigner sucker punching me out of the blue (I never saw where he came from or why he hit me) and ended with the bouncers pulling me off the guy while I was trying my best to separate his head from his body in a choke hold. I ended up making a trip to the hospital has the A'hole demolished my glasses and damaged my retina.
That ended my Night Club days. I've gotten too old for that silly-assed nonsense.

Nothing like whelps of the elites; silver spoon inserted in their posterior and an overblown sense of status and entitlement in their heads.
Seem the Wang Bro' use Bangkok rules instead of Queensberry rules. Lol

The Isaan farmers should stop growing rice except for enough to feed their family. The rest of the year they can go work in a factory or drive taxi in bangkok, to service the debts.
They wouldnot sell one grain of rice. Bangkok citizens could import their rice. The export of rice would be finished. 5% of the economy gone. Stop being used and fight back where it hurts. As long as they produce it the rich will try to get as cheap as they can. Stop production and donot start again till they get some of their demands met.
I can see the day a-comin' when Monsanto is invited in to 'help'.

It's a basic rule of thumb that you need a 50k+ monthly salary in order to buy a new car on credit and run it.
My ex just bought a new Toyota Yaris on credit, paying 6,000 baht a month, with free comprehensive insurance for the first year
Of course, she's on the hook for 1st class comprehensive insurance mandated in her purchase contract, insurance that will probably cost her 8k to 10k. Then you she has to come up with the extra money.

He has not been approved for refugee status by Homeland Security. He has merely applied and the approval process takes 1-2 years. He will be denied and eventually deported from the US because of his criminal history.
How much money can he make from gullible Californians over the period of 2 years?
Multi-millions.

...and he is not an infamous playboy...he is a child molester and a criminal....
But in the West, there is a double standard for filthy rich pedophiles and your average Joe citizen pedophile. Just take the UK for example. Great example. Uncover dirt on the rich, elitist, connected politicians and their pedophilia, and the next thing you know, the government seals your story with a 'D Notice' before you can publish.
Perhaps the "playboy monk" has enough jack and connections to, errr, 'smooth' the immigration/asylum issue. Plus, until Thailand signs on to the TPP, the US probably isn't going to be too helpful in resolving any issue that is in Thailand's perceived interests.

As expected, western rhetoric attempting to make Russia look bad because they are not targeting locations approved by the west...
On the other hand, how do you tell the difference between Syrian rebels and ISIS fighters? The answer is simple, you cannot because they are one in the same...
I'm pretty sure they will be targeting everyone with weapons who isn't the Syrian Army. I would bet their plan is to attempt to stabilize strategic areas within the region, in which historically they have had a vested interest.
-
So NATO thinks Russia isn't going to play the same game, just from the other side of the table? I don't for a second think they are that gullible. But gotta crank up the MSM machine to recalibrate the gullibility index of the average

And if this guy hadn't had a helmet camera, his video would not have gone viral on YouTube. He still would have been valiant, but few would know.
They are both wearing proper riding gear too. Save a lot of skin to boot.

Sunglasses as well. Should we outlaw sunglasses? What about long hair?
What about a Shemagh? Niqabs? Burkas?
Boy, the CM BIB will have a heyday come the Feb - April 'burn season'. "Facemask illegal. You pay $400 baht fine."
-
A dark or reflective visor is definitely illegal, so I can image the saying about the full face helmet. Wrong priorities regarding safety.
80% tinted car windows next?

"and press the F5 key on the keyboard for refresh."
Apparently the netizens are not that clued in. Some browsers have an auto refresh feature that can be set to do that every n seconds.
Actually you'd want to press CTRL + F5. That forces a "hard refresh" meaning there is no look to the cache for things like images and it downloads everything fresh. This puts the most load on the server.
Cheers.
ICT: "Let's see now, we're getting multiple refresh packets from an IP that resolves to some subscriber of Thai Visa named NeverSure. Have security contact the ISP and find out where the source computer is located, then send to cops to have a visit."

ICT solves 'DDoS' attack by using US proxy
Asina Pornwasin
The Nation
BANGKOK: -- A source in IT industry unveiled that after the ICT Ministry's website faced DDoS attack by angry Internet useres, the ministry has found a way to handle overwhelming traffic.
The source said it was founded that the domain name system (DNS) of ICT Ministry's website was changed to point to CloudFlare, US company that provides a content delivery network and distributed domain name server services, at IP 104.20.29.248.
DNS pointed at CloudFlare in order to filter traffics before send the traffics back to the MICT's website.
"This is called reverse proxy technique," said the source.
With this technique, it can help reduce numbers of [fake] traffic to the website. Fake traffic means the frequent requests from the same IP address in a shot period of time.
CloudFlare acts as a reverse proxy for [its customer] site that is able to filter and analyze traffic coming to [its customer] site. In addition to analyzing and filtering of traffic, CloudFlare also offers optional security features that can help mitigate attacks and content theft.
As a result, at around 1:28 am on October 1, some people can access MICT website, but some cannot.

Outsourced to the US. Doesn't that speak volumes about Thailand IT security posture and capabilities. That's gotta be an NSA wet-dream come true. lol
NAS Director Adm. Michael S. Rogers: "ICT Thailand is diverting their entire pipe to CloudFlare, through our gateways??? Have the network boyz turn on 'The Hoover' and lets get that traffic routed to indefinite storage. Christmas has come early! Ask the POTUS if he wants to do a little 'pivoting'."

An attack on a govt website albeit denied naturally, so will it provoke an angry reaction from on high ?
In a few days, the denial will be reversed and used as a reason for more control.
I'll bet a bottle of Hong Thong that the attack will be admitted, and cited as an example of a breach of the country's security, and thus more virtual policing needs to be in place.
Any takers?

That's just pouring gas on the fire. Want to give the government a better reason to implement the Firewall. Go on a hacking spree. Technically intelligent hackers who are as ignorant as a box of rocks regarding governmental reactions to perceived 'Threats', especially when you hand them an actual threat on a platter.

Just bought ten more Superhamsters for my self made wheel. Works great...
Use pet rats, they are bigger and faster, and still beautiful little animals.
More plentiful in Thailand then hamsters.

You might consider a solar powered unit.... While doing some research for a new product I'm considering bringing to the market in Thailand (Air Conditioner Clothes Dryer) I ran across these solar powered units that seem to be energy self sufficient. The one I looked at was 12,000 BTU but I have an apartment that's larger than yours and I purchased a 12,000 BTU unit (not solar) and keep it set on 27 C (24-7) and my electric is about 1800-2000 per month 4 BAHT K. Of course the solar units are a little more expensive than traditional units, however reducing or eliminating your electric bill (A/C use) while contributing to "green" energy usage would seem to be worth paying a little extra up front. I would think you would achieve ROI in 12-18 months.
There are many companies who produce these units, the link below is just the one I happened to land on..
Green? Really. You any idea the amount of pollution created making solar cells. When you add the manufacturing cost, and account for environmental damage due to pollution, only a Westerner would pat them on the back and congratulates themselves for 'Going Green', while being completely ignorant of the immense ecological damaging and collateral costs (of eventually having to clean up the pollution) occurring around the manufacturing sites and mining operations.
"But they're just Chinese peasants being poisoned and only China is being turned into a toxic cesspit."
Liberal, green, and ignorant (at best) or complicit (at worst). That's like thinking all the 'Green' nuclear energy is only adversely effecting the area adjacent to Fukishima: Ignorance or complicity. That begs the question. You live on the US Pacific Coast? Green? Actually more like nuclear ionized ' Blue' in the US West Coast future.
The last reason I'd use solar cell is because they are 'Green'; they are not. But they have their uses.

Move to Thailand and cannot afford aircon. I have no idea how people can survive so poor.
You acclimatize. Really. I've spent more time in Thailand without A/C then with. And considering I was raised in the 1950s, I've lived plenty of places where we had limited or no A/C post WWII. You acclimatize. Well, until you get older, and then it becomes tougher.

The compressor will not run all the time, once the room cools, the inside unit fan (on auto) will switch to a lower speed, and if the room reaches the set-point temperature, the compressor will be turned off (or slowed for invertor units).
Don't set the temperature too low (perhaps 24-25 DegC), only use it when you need it, and keep the fan on Auto.
Your average consumption should be less than you predict. Seal doors and windows to keep the cool air in.
As to the rating, yes 18 KBTU sounds high for a 26 sqm room, but not by much. That is what I have in my bedroom.
Those aircon boxes in Homepro do not cool the room much, they use water to generate a cool draught. If your bedroom is at 34 DegC when you turn in, you will be glad of the 18,000 BTU rating. A fan can be a good substitute on cooler nights.
Evaporative coolers such as sold in Homepro will only work if you have an ambient humidity below 50%. If the humidity is 80 - 90%, they are virtually useless because no cooling effect is produced - just air movement, which you can get with a fan anyway.
Put ice in the reservoir and place it right in front of your chair. Even with high humidity, it's better than a fan.
But agreed. The rest of the room will feel like a sauna after pouring water on the rocks. Lol
Los Angeles Consulate no longer issuing triple entry visas
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
My bad. Just pulled out my original passport and it was a triple entry. Had to do a visa run the Mae Sai every 60 day, so it was essentially a six month visa with border runs.
