Just watched episode 7 of the current White Lotus. Whereas the first two seasons were witty and well acted, this, I thought, was utter garbage. A quite apposite word, I think. But also the article contains the phrase "self-deport" which does seem to me hilarious. Can you imagine some poor schmuck toddling off to the local immigration office and saying, "good morning, sir, I'd like to self-deport, if it's ok with you." One further point: most of us on this thread have probably entered Thailand legally and gone through all the necessary legal crapology to both enter and remain in the country. Why should illegals be treated with courtesy when they don't make this minimum legal effort required by most (all?) countries worldwide?
