  1. I'm outraged too. Outraged that they are calling this music. Even Rap and Hip Hop artists would be ashamed to have this classified in their genre.

I agree teenagers shouldn't be exposed to this for fear of it damaging their hearing and I'll be keeping my kids as far away as possible.

Does he actually sing 'I'm high like Sek Loso' in the lyrics? Wow thats deep.......

  2. We shipped a full container up. The only advice I would give you is not to include any more than 1 of each electrical item. we had 3 TV's and they tried to kill us.....when I protested and said take them out they are worth less than what you want to charge, they came back and said $250USD and we'll clear the whole shipment.

I paid the money and it was delivered the next morning at 7am.....

  3. Too late now but I would think The Clubhouse on S23 would be pretty good in this instance. You can sit in a booth with the TV right in front of you and there's no smoking inside.

Alternatively you could try The Queen Vic on the same Soi...there's also no smoking inside and its pretty rare you actually see anyone in there.....

  4. Ahhhh ok. From your HD move dish on another box but NOT on Truevisions

I'm on Astro at the moment but if True upped the HD content via Satelite (including Setanta) and didnt charge those extortionate prices, I'd subscribe in a flash......

  5. It is not just the USA artists, a guy made a film in Malaysia and it got stolen and spread across the internet before he even had it released.

So in other words thousands of people saw a film they would have otherwise known nothing about?

Netflix is a part way to a great solution although you can't watch everything and of course where is it in Thailand?! There are many many shows I've got hooked on by downloading from Filesonic/Hotfile etc that I would have never ever taken a punt on if I had to pay 3 bucks an episode........ give me the buffet thanks, a la carte aint that attractive to me

  6. I have a package in transit which on the tracking information says "attempted delivery addressee not available and being notified"

Of course I have no notification or attempted contact.

So who delivers something sent by USPS in Thailand? Who can I contact to find the package?

    Anyone with a similar experience?

  7. Why doesn't Hollywood buy Megaupload? Problem solved.

Thats EXACTLY my point. If ya cant beat 'em join 'em....... music industry starting to do this through services like Spotify but where are the movies and TV and where is Spotify in Thailand?!

I hear Rapidshare has announced they are not bothered by what is happening and not going to change the business model......worth a shot? For 9 Euros WTH I suppose....

  8. I've been using Filesonic for about a year and LOVED it. So sad its gone.

I read that Megaupload had 50million users? At an average of say $8 a month that's 400 million dollars a month?! Then add Fileserve, Filesonic etc etc and thats a huge payday by any means. I cannot believe that the studios producing the content do not want to move to a subscription based service direct to the end customer rather than through the normal distribution channels. I would gladly pay a set price per month for legal access to all the programmes I am used to downloading in 720p rather than pay True to cut them to shreds and send them out at such poor resolution they are unwatchable on a big TV

So, I'm not going to hand over money to another cyberlocker service as I'm sure they will all be doing a runner in the coming weeks. Are torrents a viable alternative in Thailand? Any other viable alternatives?

  9. Or Aliceia on rama 9. Which is my preferred.

    Worst.Tech.Ever.

"why are you worried about the warp in the neck, I can still stick a 1 baht coin under the strings at the 12th fret. 700 baht please"

I had good experience with Mr Sak in the Palladium near CW.....but I think I've told you that before in another post........

Stringshop I would definately be willing to try as all the guitars in that shop seem to be set up ok EXCEPT the <deleted> Chinese Squier Strat they demo all the amps and pedals on.......I've bought 2 pedals from them purely based on reviews and good faith rather than playing them with that piece of junk!...anyway, I digress.....Mr Sak, Palladium

  10. I am very lucky that I get to try a bunch of these buffets through work events.

To me the buffet at Imperial Queens Park is streets ahead of anything else I've tried including those mentioned here. Decor is a little bit 1985 but food is SUPERB as is the selection of wines. Also has a very good selection of Italian cured meats and European Cheeses. The only thing that lets them down is the dessert selection but even then its pretty good, 9/10 rather than 10/10

Buffet is 1500 and Booze buffet is 500......well worth a go. Book in advance on a weekend night and be there at 6pm when its all laid out.....

  11. Yeah the SD coverage from Setanta is poor....but better than nothing I suppose. I also note that True has quietly slipped it on there without so much as a small mention on the website. Does this mean they are not paying for it and it will disappear at such time as it becomes a paid service?

If you are an NRL fan be aware that Rugby Union will always come first and it will be 'selected' matches delayed.During S15 season live NRL is extremely limited. I had livenrl.tv last year and it was EXCELLENT. No doubt this year it will be geo blocked because of Setanta....1 step forward 3 steps back......

  12. I would have bought Astro through him if it werent for the fact that locally in Bangkok you can pick it up for 7500 from one of the locals. I'll accept the crappy Thai service for the difference in price. Also the monthly fee he is quoting is double the local provider.

Astro is always going to be affected by atmospheric conditions so for the extra 23k he cant make that go away?!

//Reference to illegal card sharing removed//

A google search should hook you up with the other companies......

  13. I live in a new Moo Baan in middle class Thai suburbia. We were in here before many so I've seen most of them moving in to their brand new houses......only ever seen a monk in here once and that was for a NY party. NO good luck parties.......

So my answer would be nothing. Tell the relatives to stay away.

  14. My Thai colleagues queued for them from DTAC and after 2 weeks would do anything to get rid of them.

Fairly heavy business users and the battery is gone by lunchtime just using them as a phone. One of them complained to Apple just few days back asking them to take his 4S away and give him a 4...not sure how hes getting on.

I will stick with the 4 for now. I can do without Siri......battery life much more important

  15. I havent really found a decent repair man in Bangkok. Everyone will tell you that Alecia just off Rama IX is the best but my experience is like this:

    1. " Guitar fretting out = bad strings. I change strings and everything ok" (A guitar I gigged with many years and know very well)

    2. " Dont worry about the shape of the neck, as long as a 1 baht coin will fit under the strings at the 12th fret its ok"

    3. " Why you want low action anyway, better to not spend money and play with the action higher"

    4. " A shim will make no difference" (wrong)

    5. " A new neck will make no difference" (Hmmm the guys at Ernieball/Musicman disagree)

    700b for nothing.

The best of a bad bunch is Mr Sak in Palladium Mall at Pratunam (very hard to find tucked away in a back part of the mall). He has a flat rate of 300b for a setup. Used to work at Music Concept so is used to setting up customers higher end guitars.
