If you cannot clean you sphincter enough to eat off with a water hose alone....then you doin it all wrong.
If you would like me to pop around and teach you...just ask...I'll even do the finger test for you.
will you go to the knuckle and give it a wiggle for about 2 minutes ?
up or down ?
Depends on how you approach it I guess.

nice one, thanks.

You already know it all which you repeatably tell us at every given moment.
I give up . But please tell folk here what super dooper star ship enterprise fluid a 6 speed auto has and it's optimum operating temp is......
I WANT TO KNOW cos learn something every day............
A wooden head living in the 70's will never learn.
Goodbye.

You can wipe out an auto in a few km's if it is to hot. My dash has a warning light for this eventuality......thread hijack...thread hijack...!
do you think the OP's 2013 2.8L 6-speed Auto that shows Trans temp on the dash cluster might also throw up a warning light or go into limp mode if it over heats ?
Yeah I reckon it would.
now back to that DexTron.......................
-
Never said Dextron did not exist, just that the T was dropped in the 70's and has been called Dexron ever since.
I guess you are an older person hence relating to something from your youth gone wild.
Still no answers to my temp thing from you. Oh well.
The transmission is a loooooooooooooong from over heating.
What answer are you looking for ?

Work permit = permit to work
Work is not necessarily paid
Hence, anything you do which is not leisure is work
Therefore you need a work permit.
Is it possibly there is anyone who does not understand this very simple regulation?
You should also add.
the work permit has a location listed on it. it is only valid at that location.

I don't need to. I know what fluid goes into the transmission in question.
why don't you do some research for a change.
And it's safe operating temperature isssssssssssssssssssssss.............?
Ive already said what the boiling point is.
Now about that DexTron fluid.......................

Who was the first to inflate an automotive tyre ?

Is that for the 6 speed auto fitted to the current model Colorado ?
Doesn't matter how many gears an auto trans has, it is about the fluid the trans uses. It has an operating temperature, go above that temp and the box will fail. The fluid is the life blood of an auto, thats why folk like me had a BIG trans temp gauge to see all was OK or not.
The 6 speed auto in the Colorado is not the same dinosaur box you had in your street/strip car years ago (was it TH400 ?). Technology has moved on from there. They run thinner oils and higher temps.
Well, tel us what they use now. In my day it was Dextron 111 or the Ford equivalent, which I used in a Dextron box. Tell us...
Dexron-IV.
what is a Dextron Box ?
-
I believe the perfect temp is 175 deg F, temp after that reduces the life of the trans. I did have a graph but alas all gone. Sure it is on the Net somewhere.

"How are you monitoring the temps ?"
It is in my info system on my dashboard along with many other info services.
One guy on a US site said that if it got above 93, to shut it down. I'm not too far from that number.
what year/model is your colorado ?

Ive no problem with your posts (cept the constant barrage about your fookin vigo and how shit my Ranger is). I just like to set facts straight.
Thought this was an auto trivia thread. you mentioned top fuel so I thought I'd come into the mix. do you have no reply about multi valve heads in NHRA for Top Fuellers ?
I thought you was a drag racing guy ..............
-
The boiling point of transmission fluid if fairly high (300 to 400 degrees °C) and unless you felt the tranny was slipping I would not be concerned.

stop talking riddles.
You mention Mopar Hemi and top fuel and I set it straight.
You reply who is talking top fuel then mention KB's.
Put down the pipe.
Point out where I mentioned TOP FUEL ? ..................
Your post # 804.
Cool subject though and one that I enjoy. Why did the NHRA ban multi valve (3 valve or 4 valve) in Top fuel and kept it dinosaur 2 valve technology ?

sA case of batteries to suit the Rabbit is always a useful gift!
I'd grab a 12 volt brick from a laptop and hard wire it.
So that's why they sell all these portable power supply things.
Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand
Diesel powered dildos last longer.
You obviously have not experienced first hand the aroma of vagina mixed with diesel smoke fumes...... it aint pretty.

Transmission Operating Temperatures (Truck)
in Thailand Motor Discussion

I think you should conclude from what the information your dashboard tells you in regards to transmission temps when a trans temp light comes on..... pull over and stop.
your owners manual will indicate the trans light.
Study it.
