  1. Were emojis around already twenty years ago? The world was better before they arrived.
  2. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8066148/#:~:text=Blood levels of EPA and, optimum of 8–11%. If I understand the above publication correctly, the Omega-3 index is not something that is checked, but calculated with the values of three blood test measurements. Where e is the level of EPA, d is the level of DHA, and t is the level of total fatty acids, preferably measured in erythrocytes, the Omega-3 Index is (e+d)/t https://omegaquant.com/what-is-the-omega-3-index/
  3. Report this phishing scam to the police.
  4. Thanks. I wasn't aware of that.
  5. If there were specific medical terms available for "no scalpel method" and for "slice you open method" it would probably make communication with hospitals easier when inquiring about the cost of the procedure.
  6. Taking the PR book along was senseless, of course. The house registration book in which you are listed as resident would have sufficed and adding the PR book must have been confusing.
  7. Are you sure that banks in Thailand sell lottery tickets?
  8. He died at 80, "after battling prostate cancer for about a year" Was his cancer diagnosed too late? What treatment did he get?
  9. I have now found the topic in this forum about the official announcement of the new fees in June 2022: https://aseannow.com/topic/1261836-dual-pricing-reconfirmed-in-thailand-national-parks
  10. I have found this news article published in The Nation on 7 June 2022: https://www.nationthailand.com/thai-destination/40016384
  11. The current entrance fees for the Khao Yai Natioal Park are listed here: https://www.khaoyainationalpark.com/en/plan-your-visit/getting-here/park-entry-fees I remember that the entrance fee for foreigners used to be ten times the fee for Thais, but a year or two ago it was reduced to five times. The corresponding Ministerial Order was discussed in this forum but I don't know how to search for that topic.
  12. No.
  13. Can the ThaID app also be used for the registration of the pink ID card for foreigners? The download of the app seems to geofenced and being in Italy at the moment I cannot download and test it.
  14. He is faster than I am.
  15. I think we have to draw a picture to understand what this topic is about. OP, please correct me if I am gerting this wrong, but I believe you are talking about a married couple, whom I shall call Anthony and Barbara, and a third person, male, whom I shall call David and who has an affair with Barbara. Now, about the suggestion of ChayaTH that "he could not sue you for adultery but he could sue you for defamation", the only possibility of defamation I can see is that if Anthony accuses David publicly of adultery with Barbara, David can sue Anthony for defamation. Actually, if David is married, to a woman whom I shall call Elisa, there is a second possibility. If Elisa accuses Barbara of adultry with David, Barbara can sue Elisa for defamation.
  16. Thank you. I would not have known how to do that. I have Nonoh and Voip Discount on my Samsung phone running on Android version 13 for the rare occasions when I need to make an international phone call and meant to install Localphone for a comparison of its features and ease of use. This can wait until they update the app to be compatible with old Google Play accounts. I would not want to fiddle with deleting my existing account and registering a new one.
  17. That's interesting.

  20. I did some research and the wepage library.parliament.go.th/en/museum-and-archive/useful-knowledge does indeed mention whips in the House of representatives. Since news articles talk also about a whip in the Senate, I'm now covinced that they also have at least one. If his job is also to whip the memers to vote the way they are told, this would be unconstitutional. Section 114. Members of the House of Representatives and Senators are representatives of the Thai people and free from any mandate, commitment, or control. Theys shall perform duties honestly for the common interest of the Nation and the happiness of Thai people as a whole, without conflict of interest. Section 115. Before taking office, a Member of the House of Representatives and a Senator shall make a solemn declaration at a sitting of the House of which he or she is a member in the following words: “I, (name of the declarer), do solemnly declare that I will perform my duties in accordance with the honest dictates of my conscience for the common interest of the Thai people. I will also uphold and observe the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand in every respect.”
  21. What the English-language newspapers call whips in the Thai parliament are probably not what you perhaps know from the parliaments of other countries. I wonder what Thai word is being translated here as whip.
  22. According to a news report I saw, the constitutional court suspended Pita while it hears a case that could see him disqualified as an MP. https://www.barrons.com/news/thai-constitutional-court-suspends-reformist-pita-as-mp-statement-6c405b3
  23. The fact that no mention of Section 157 of the constitution is made seems to indicate that in the six years since the promulgation of the current constitution, the parliament has not yet issued the rules of procedure of the National Assembly.
