  1. These web pages give a good explanation: https://windy.app/blog/feels-like-temperature.html#:~:text=Air temperature is a real, air humidity and wind speed. https://blog.metoffice.gov.uk/2012/02/15/what-is-feels-like-temperature/#:~:text=We calculate a 'feels like, during cold and windy days.
  2. That's what the confusion is all about. The first thing I did when I read the OP was a search of the entire website of the World Health Organisation (WHO) with the word Acturus and I did not get even one result.
  3. Sometimes, I have a problem with the English language. Do I understand correctly that Thai health officials have announced that the death of this man who was infected with the Omicron variant XBB.1.16 has triggered alarm around the world?
  4. Referring to the Omicron subvariant XBB.1.16 as "the Covid-19's new variant, Arcturus" is confusing. How did XBB.1.16 get the nickname Arcturus? The nearest thing to an answer I could find is this, from an article in the Times of India: I also found that there is the company Arcturus Therapeutics, Inc. in the USA currently doing clinical trials with a new mRNA Covid-19 vaccine. Were perhaps "scientists" connected with the vaccine research at Arcturus Therapeutics initiating and spreading the nickname Arcturus for XBB.1.16?
  5. That is a big plus. Your payment does not go directly to the seller. It goes to AliPay, I believe in Singapore, and they hold on to it until all is clear.
  6. According to the article, they wouldn't all get 10k. Up to 10k, it says. 10 or 50 or 100 are up to 10k, for example.
  7. Did they have Italian snd Swahili versions? Come to think about it, why should a Thai government department broadcast a news conference in any language other than Thai, unless,of course, the target audience is the population of countries other than Thailand?
  8. Please accept my apologies. I failed to read the topic title.
  9. How Chiang Mai became the world’s most polluted city Burning fields are blamed for hazardous levels of air pollution in northern Thailand but the government is doing little to act. By Dominik Sipinski Published On 12 Apr 202312 Apr 2023 Weenarin Lulitanonda is passionate about clean air. “The air people are breathing in northern Thailand is cutting their life short by three, four years. It causes cancers, mental health issues, other problems. And almost no one is taking up the cause, there is so much passivity,” she told Al Jazeera. Weenarin is the co-founder of Thailand Clean Air Network, an NGO, and a former World Bank economist. 10. I can't find the part of the article that says that it is not "easy to get enough travel insurance incl repatriation"
  11. Will there be vocational training colleges for the art and craft of sex working, with a diploma upon successful completion of the course?
  12. It is Thailand's clever way of fighting the adverse effects of air pollution.
  13. How is this e-wallet supposed to work? Is it a cryptocurrency wallet?
  14. I don't know, either. Probably as long as farangs go there and pay these prices.
  15. Thank you. The web search with Thai prime minister uncle Too I did just now came up with one or two results in English language newspapers in Thailand and Wikipedia for: — Uncle Tu — Uncle Tuu — Uncle Too — Lung Tu I hope that by having typed this here, my generally poor memory for names will recognise the various romanised nick names for prime minister Prayut if they crop up again on this forum.
  16. Thank you. I browsed that article too rapidly; should have done a text search with "Mor Prom". Silly me!
  17. I couldn't figure out what "Thai-lizing" means in the topic title and the title of the news article to which the OP gives a link. A search of the worldwide web produced no answer and in desperation I asked the Thaivisa ChatGPT. It seems that somebody at the news publication "Thaiger" invented this word. Shall we call this new language Thaigerlish?
  18. I know that CAAT it the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, but what is "Too"? I already asked ChatGPT but its answer was not helpful.
  19. Based on information gleaned from the news article to which a link is given in the OP, I think that the hacked database is a database containing "the name and surname, ID card number, date of birth, address and phone number" of at least "55 million Thai citizens". I do not wish to speculate as to who might have this type of database, but I do not think that the database called the "Mor Prom app/database" by another poster in this topic fits the aforementioned description.
  20. I don't think it was the Mor Prom app/database.
  21. For your needs, I think you will find thai-language.com useful.
  22. The screenshot you posted does not seem to be from the inbox of an email account. In my case, I see that newsletter subscription form pop up on my screen when I log into the ASEAN NOW forum.
  23. Does AseanNow really have a phone app?
  24. Question: What countries have banned ChatGPT? Answer: As an AI language model, I have no information that any country has officially banned ChatGPT. However, accessing ChatGPT or any other chatbot service may be restricted or blocked in certain countries due to government restrictions, firewall or internet censorship policies, or other reasons beyond our control.
