and you have a vastly different engine.
Very true...and the CRF is geared diffenently (too tall for off road, but okay for asphalt tho)
But the stating point was just a (under powered) commuter bike...to quote wiki...
Quotethe CBR250R enters at the opposite end of the market, as a budget priced beginner or utility bike, practical and fuel efficient, but with limited sporting pretensions

Now I am not a big following of motorcycle racing, but as far as I know there is a 250cc class. I found this extract and assume the same would apply to all classes and that is how they sell bikes. Am I wrong?
2010: Moto2 replaces the 250cc GP class. All engines are built for Moto2 by Honda and are four-stroke 600cc in-line four-cylinder producing ~125 bhp and rev up to 16000 rpm.

A cush drive is a part of a motorcycle or scooter drive-train that is designed to reduce stress from engine torque damaging other components during gear or throttle changes
Popular thinking is that's why they fitted the judder spring clutch set-up to the 250L instead of a cush-drive...smoothes things out for the noobs who aren't used to clutch control

I'll bet that over 90% of the readers/viewers of this post have no intention, nor the funds to purchase these types of bikes you photographed. We are living in Thailand for Gods sake and using these bikes in the ity only or on the highways is just plain idiotic.
You sound remarkably like my 84 year old mother...she doesn't like 'real' bikes either
And you have missed the point entirely...

Anyone know why Thailand dealer put CRF250LDH
About the only difference I could think of would be that the 2017 Thai version is 40mm lower than the rest of the world.
If you want to raise yours up to the 2013~2016 height have a read here...

Thanks, spoke to him a while back about his suspension. Problem here is finding a reputable builder who knows what they are doing.
Might be worth giving Race Tech a shout and see if they have anything in the pipeline...there's nothing listed at the moment, but they're normally not too far behind releasing valve kits for new bikes

Granted, my hands could get a bit numb sometimes with the vibes but I actually prefer just taking it easy and riding the back roads to avoid the crazy traffic.
Proper touring I wouldn't entertain it. 14/45 is fine for lengthy journeys if mixing it with trails though.
I ran with 13/44 for a long time...still plenty of speed for the road and good gearing off-road. I only switched to 13/48 when I got a road bike and there was no chance of me ever needing the 250L on the road
Not sure what grips you have at the moment, but I had the same problem with numb hands, I got some Progrip Rally 714's and it solved the problem.

Romesberg is aware that the creation of semi-synthetic organisms might raise concerns of hybrid life forms spreading beyond the lab, but the system they used makes such an escape unlikely.
I think it escaped already and is living in the White House

@BBJNot sure if you've seen this vid on YT...in the comments below he says the suspension is stock but had both ends revalved...the Temi system sounds nice

Nice ohlins no expense spaired??
There's a reason for that...I killed my YSS shock the first ride home last time (it dumped all it's oil out thru the rebound adjuster)...it survived 5 years of abuse so I can't complain. I gave it to one of the guys I ride with and he's had it overhauled by YSS for 4k...new rod, seals and valve kit.

Hi Jeff...no tacho on the CRF, but according the calculator about 4720rpm (I'm running a slightly larger profile rear tyre)

Thanks, by the way is that a Moto-play sprocket.
No it's a Renthal Twin-Ring for a CRF250R with a conversion kit.
BTW...There were a few subtle changes from the 2016 to the 2017...different airbox, throttle body and header pipe to name a few...so maybe the 2017 will pull top gear?

Thanks so it comes with 44 t sprocket I guess.
My new Mia Noi.
Congrats mate
Standard is 14/40 as Tanin says...but it won't pull top with that gearing (done for mpg figs)...so either one down on the front or a couple up on the back helps
2 hours ago, taninthai said:See NEILly is running 13/48,,,that must be just off reading don’t think you would be to much road riding with that combo,,,,,would be revving the arse of it and high fuel consumption from small fuel tank.
Yeah mine only gets used on the road to get to the off-road

I don't recall reading any failures with the stroker kits and I would trust any reputable place like dirtshop in BKK to fit it since it's not exactly a difficult thing to do. I'm just not willing to invest in the tools personally when it can be done for 5K baht.
Still in two minds whether to mess with it any more or just keep it 250cc....
For reliability the stroker kit is the way to go because you're using genuine Honda parts and basically running a CBR300 top end and balance weights.
Out of the two 305 kits available the Takegawa one seems to have the higher fail rate over the B&B one. If I have to do some engine work for whatever reason I might go for the B&B 283 kit, that way I don't need to have the EJK re-flashed.
Where I ride I don't need any more top end...but a little more low end grunt would be nice...I'm already running 13/48 and this is just about perfect for me.

Might have found a source in Thailand for MotoZ tyres...friend of mine sent me a couple of pic's last night...if they have the rear Tractionator to match the stack of fronts on the left then it will be cheap option for you. I'm told he got a set for 2,800 for his CRF...waiting on more info at the moment. A lot of peeps rate the Tractionator highly
