  1. Quote: Viber (Rakuten) is a messaging app offering free, encrypted calls and messages, popular for international communication. While some users enjoy its user-friendly interface and unique features, recent reviews highlight significant issues, including difficult subscription cancellations, billing errors, poor call quality, and unresponsive customer support. Did my due diligence before coming on here, jut wanted some real life experiences, not Bots or hyped up sales talk. I live in Thailand and mostly do short trips in different countries. Some apps like whatsapp are blocked in some countries I visit so will go with one of the ones previously recommended to me based on experience. Thanks anyway!
  2. Thanks for all the advice 👍 I will check them out as I need something that will work worldwide.
  3. Looking for recommendations for an international iphone app for phone calls and data. I have tried the AIS bolt on packages which generally do not work and are a waste of money. and limited luck with e-sim purchases. I work in a variety of countries, Africa, Middle East and Asia to name a few. Please base your suggestions on actual experience. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks
  4. The oil and gas/minerals is a very important factor here which is not widely discussed. I have worked offshore Thailand for years and it was often talked about within the Oil company management circles.
  5. Hello Briggsy I am having similar problems. Did you follow up on this? Would you be willing to share any progress? Thanks
  6. Yes, my concern is that it won't survive, so good you were able to rescue one. My Dad kept Budgies and taught them to talk, great little characters, so I have fond memories of them. I know of a flock that survive in Glasgow (Scotland) and apparently escaped from a Monastery!
  7. My wife spotted this in our garden and it looks like a Budgie to me! Can anyone confirm - I know they are not indigenous to Thailand We live in the Baan Amphur area near Sattahip
  8. Great post! I played amateur football in these conditions - Those were the days🤣
  9. It is and my wife and I specifically asked about this at the TM30 desk. This topic has been covered many times on the forum.
  10. I had no problem opening one 2 years ago with SCB, who I have held personal accounts with for 17 years. However, the will not give you a company debit card which complicates things when you need to make a purchase. I therefore have to use my personal account debit card and claim it back, then present the receipt to the accountant. The bank required a copy of my company registration and stamp
  11. I was prescribed Lyrica for lumbar disc nerve pain, the person you are quoting in your OP is misusing it and is an idiot.
  12. Thanks Sheryl, he also stated that it is common in Thailand as was transmission by food.
  13. My wife suffered from this and it was discovered with an endoscopy procedure. The specialist told us that when left untreated it can lead to cancer. Perhaps Sheryl can confirm?
  14. Same with me - rejected 2 times even though I have put the correct dates. I did it the previous time with no problem. Will try again tomorrow.
  15. Thanks for that Jai, I have also seen Thai grown Ceylon tea on there which I am going to try, but I have enough right now🙂
  16. Thanks for that Lemon, I received this and it suits my taste: Tata Gold, from India, 200B for 500g 👍 and fast delivery.
  17. I do like Earl Grey, but I am looking for an English Breakfast type tea and could not find any amongst the Twinnings selection. I agree regards Lipton, it's just about palatable if you use 2 bags🙂
  18. Thanks LJ I will be trying that - no problem with a strainer and pot as thats all we had when I was a lad. 👍
  19. Thanks for that Geordie. Same scenario with coffee last year and i now get excellent coffee from Hillcoff (lazada) which some helpful posters on here had recommended. 👍
  20. Can anyone recommend a Thai tea which is roughly equivalent to English breakfast tea? A lot of the options seem to have disappeared off the shelf ie Lipton, Ceylon, Typhoo, Tetley etc. The few available have also doubled in price. just bought some in big C extra Pattaya for the equivalent price of 6.50 GBP and there was a large sticker on it with the price of 1.79 GBP😖 Now, I don't mind paying a bit extra - but combined with the fact it is getting hard to find! So, Thai tea anyone?
  21. Try putting some food out, they do become quite tame and used to humans
  22. Ours get full sun in the morning then part/shade in the afternoon Encid. A lot of internet information suggests they like full sun, but full sun in Scotland (where I used to grow) compared to here is a lot different!
  23. https://www.lazada.co.th/shop/jpplantgardens/?spm=a2o4m.pdp_revamp.seller.1.573c64b9BIvPcE&itemId=4703850033&channelSource=pdp If you go to that link you will find the shop we have used, browse for what you like and note that if you get good tubers you can divide them and get many more plants in the future. Good luck, let us know how you get on!
  24. Hello Sirineou We bought them (tubers) in Chiangrai then more from Lazada and there are many to choose from on there. Do some research on Youtube, but they are easy to grow. You will have to lift the tubers and store them in a cool dry place during the wet season. Sorry for the late reply as I was away and this site was down. We have just planted some and they are sprouting already.
  25. I collected my passport at DHL Express Suvarnabhumi Airport on 6th Nov. It took less than three days from UK and that was over the weekend. Called to arrange the pickup instead of it coming all the way to my home so I could go straight to the airport. Found them very helpful and no glitches. Same applies to when I sent it to UK.
