  1. It is and my wife and I specifically asked about this at the TM30 desk. This topic has been covered many times on the forum.
  2. I had no problem opening one 2 years ago with SCB, who I have held personal accounts with for 17 years. However, the will not give you a company debit card which complicates things when you need to make a purchase. I therefore have to use my personal account debit card and claim it back, then present the receipt to the accountant. The bank required a copy of my company registration and stamp
  3. I was prescribed Lyrica for lumbar disc nerve pain, the person you are quoting in your OP is misusing it and is an idiot.
  4. Thanks Sheryl, he also stated that it is common in Thailand as was transmission by food.
  5. My wife suffered from this and it was discovered with an endoscopy procedure. The specialist told us that when left untreated it can lead to cancer. Perhaps Sheryl can confirm?
  6. Same with me - rejected 2 times even though I have put the correct dates. I did it the previous time with no problem. Will try again tomorrow.
  7. Thanks for that Jai, I have also seen Thai grown Ceylon tea on there which I am going to try, but I have enough right now🙂
  8. Thanks for that Lemon, I received this and it suits my taste: Tata Gold, from India, 200B for 500g 👍 and fast delivery.
  9. I do like Earl Grey, but I am looking for an English Breakfast type tea and could not find any amongst the Twinnings selection. I agree regards Lipton, it's just about palatable if you use 2 bags🙂
  10. Thanks LJ I will be trying that - no problem with a strainer and pot as thats all we had when I was a lad. 👍
  11. Thanks for that Geordie. Same scenario with coffee last year and i now get excellent coffee from Hillcoff (lazada) which some helpful posters on here had recommended. 👍
  12. Can anyone recommend a Thai tea which is roughly equivalent to English breakfast tea? A lot of the options seem to have disappeared off the shelf ie Lipton, Ceylon, Typhoo, Tetley etc. The few available have also doubled in price. just bought some in big C extra Pattaya for the equivalent price of 6.50 GBP and there was a large sticker on it with the price of 1.79 GBP😖 Now, I don't mind paying a bit extra - but combined with the fact it is getting hard to find! So, Thai tea anyone?
  13. Try putting some food out, they do become quite tame and used to humans
  14. Teachers who are unaware of how HIV, hepatitis and many other transmittable diseases are transmitted! The consequences for these children could and will be life changing.
  15. Ours get full sun in the morning then part/shade in the afternoon Encid. A lot of internet information suggests they like full sun, but full sun in Scotland (where I used to grow) compared to here is a lot different!
  16. https://www.lazada.co.th/shop/jpplantgardens/?spm=a2o4m.pdp_revamp.seller.1.573c64b9BIvPcE&itemId=4703850033&channelSource=pdp If you go to that link you will find the shop we have used, browse for what you like and note that if you get good tubers you can divide them and get many more plants in the future. Good luck, let us know how you get on!
  17. Hello Sirineou We bought them (tubers) in Chiangrai then more from Lazada and there are many to choose from on there. Do some research on Youtube, but they are easy to grow. You will have to lift the tubers and store them in a cool dry place during the wet season. Sorry for the late reply as I was away and this site was down. We have just planted some and they are sprouting already.
  18. I collected my passport at DHL Express Suvarnabhumi Airport on 6th Nov. It took less than three days from UK and that was over the weekend. Called to arrange the pickup instead of it coming all the way to my home so I could go straight to the airport. Found them very helpful and no glitches. Same applies to when I sent it to UK.
  19. I have just had to do it and I am on a marriage extension, they want you to do a TM 30 report. I have lived in Thailand for 16 years, travelled in and out on a regular basis and now they want it after telling me years ago that I did not have to. It took me 2 hours to do it at Jomtien and I noted that so many people are going to the counter (10A) and getting rejected -wrong counter and paperwork! There are other threads on here but I don't have time to quote right now.
  20. I have not seen it mentioned here but OP should consider getting blood/glucose level checked for daibetes
  21. Yes thank you Sheryl for being one of the most considerate and informative posters on this forum. I am sure many of the members appreciate the knowledge you have imparted over the years.
  22. I hand carried 4 at different times coming through Suvarnabhumi Airport. Two of them were nearly new, and I only got asked once what was in the case and never stopped. I had receipts with me in the event they tried to charge me.
  23. Bangkok Pattaya does the OGUK (expensive) Never had to do the step test there, so not sure about that. There are some members on here that have done the medical in Bangkok who will hopefully reply
  24. Two part epoxy available on Lazada, paint and spray varnish to seal. I have bought all the materials here in Thailand
  25. There was a previous post on this which has been archived, but I just wanted to add that Dahlias can be successfully grown out-with the Northern regions of Thailand. We planted tubers in January in the Sattahip area which we had brought from Chiang Rai, and these are the results.
