I came back to the UK last week and there was an election pamphlet for the Green Party waiting for me. They have already won the local election here in Bristol…well there was around 4 paragraphs of bull, but what really stood out was it was 50% about Palestine ! The word Gaza was mentioned more than Bristol 😂 They still can’t read the room it’s pathetic

All the pride stuff don’t bother me in Thailand (as it’s all year round) like it does in the UK. Asian men do pull off the trans look far better than western men tbf but in the west they are so bloody annoying with all the political rubbish. Me personally I couldn’t care where you like to put your todger or tongue.

These black shirt guys are hard as nails in a group against drunk foreigners and knowing the police got their back. Around 15 years ago I saw a group on suk in Bangkok get their ass handed to them by group of Brits (military) . They tried roughing 1 up on his way out not realising he was meeting all his mates outside…I wish camera phones were a thing back then. The 3 security guys couldn’t wai enough after one got slapped . They quickly realised the strategic advantage of numbers and several non drunk up for it foreigners who were visibly fit was a not the best move. I’m sure there are decent ones running those doors but generally imo they are a bunch of bullys.

And the kids are so blooming stupid these days with the overload of information through SM . The education system in the UK and other western countries has been slowly taken over by activist teachers . I never ever knew any of my teachers political leanings back in the 80’s . All I knew was to always have a spare fag for some in case I was caught smoking .

Why not let Thais and other SE Asians have visa free travel to the EU , far better than what’s already been entering over the last 10/15 years with no visa or even ID for that matter.

One thing i have noticed in the last 10/15 years here, is the amount of Thais with acne issues these days. Either full blown or covered in scars from it. Not sure if this is a cause of eating habits changing and the copious amounts of sugar in their diet??

Most will stand empty . There was a similar thing in the UK years back until the City got put in its place by geo politics . Now the Russians and Chinese are spreading out . I have met around 10 Russians who I now know very well in my time coming to Thailand . All are involved in crime in one way or another and some more than others , nice fellas though and I still meet up with some of them for drinks. I will add that I’m not a magnet for Russians but I know a few phrases and can do small talk in Russian , esp when I’m drunk . My Thai is also exceptional when drunk 😂

There is a reason you know why a lot of Russians try to keep a low profile in place like Phuket …. You can work that one out . Also a lot of Chinese keeping a low profile .
