Just a quick query about my visa, I am allowed 90 days in country. After this time I usually have a coupe of days in Vietnam etc, and reset the 90 days when I return. I was just wondering whether I had to leave the country, or can I make an appointment at Immigration when yje 90 days is up and get re-stamped for another 90 days?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Kind regards

Thank you DrJack, much appreciated.

Hi Guys,
Just need some clarification thats all. I have a non-imm O multi entry Marriage visa that has coming up to its 90 day renewal. My query is can I do a border run, say to Mai Sai and go across the bridge into Myanmar and back again, collecting another 90 days permission to stay, or would I have to fly out of/into Thailand to collect the 90 day permission to stay? It has been many years since I have done the land based crossing and as such don't know what the laws are there at the moment.
Thanks.

Now I'm leaning 4 Seasons, Like 5K all in with the alcohol add-on and the ++.
YOLO, as the kids say.
Try the sister restaurant to Steak of the day in Mea Rim, former 4 seasons chef. Usually has Phuket lobster flown up for the festive period.

I got a non-imm "O" marriage visa, multiple entry valid for 1 year last week in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It used to be a 24 hr process, but now is a 48 hr. one. Mind you there are a lot worse place to spend a couple of days than HCMC.
Good luck.

Just a quick update folks, as the site has been down due to Cloud issues, I picked up my passport on 15th Nov, and received a 1 yr, non-imm O multiple entry visa, based on Marriage.
All went well, and would reccomend going this route to anyone in future, Just make sure you have the correct paperwork.
Good luck.

This was several years ago when I got the visa there, so would not surprise me if things had got worse. ( a pity really as Hanoi is a good spot to explore).
I did buy a big bunch of flowers for the lady behind the counter in Hanoi, but that does not appear to have softened the staff any.

Forgot to add, I did go to Hanoi for a 1yr ME non-imm O based on marriage. The lady behind the counter was not too happy about me applying for it in Hanoi. Fortunately I had the wife with me and after a bit of ear bending I got issued the visa, but have not heard of too many others getting one in Hanoi.

Hi Megapix, I have had circa 800k in for the last 4 months. Will let you know tomorrow when I get passport back as to the situation. Its the first I am hearing about a 6 month statement with 400k min in it. I gather that Savannakhet now inisists on the 400k regime, am I correct in Assuming that they insist on 2 months before and 1 month after issue ?
On another note, the visa application site is now on Tu Xurang rd, around the back of the Consulate.
We stayed at the Sila Living Hotel, as it is litterally 5 minutes walk around the corner from the Consulate, It also has several good brewery bars close by in one direction, and in the other direction a Jumbo seafood and a Hokkaido sushi restaurant as well.
Hope this helps.

Just in HCMC this morning for a multi-entry non-imm O based on marriage. The lady behind the counter told me that she wanted all the pages of my bank passbook copied, rather that the pages showing the last 6 months only. Also on the visa application form,( which does still state multiple entry on the upper right hand corner), states that the photo to be attached by 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, while on the web site it states 4cm x 6cm. The last one is the correct size to use.
Hope this helps.

Thanks to all who replied, its much appreciated. I used Travex travel on the North side of the moat. Got everything sorted very quickly. Don't know how many travel agents are left in CNX, a lot less since the internet became so readily available, along with the downturn during the COVID years. ust glad this one is still there.
Once again thanks to all who helped.

Anyone know where I can purchase return flight tickets from CNX direct to SGN, using only cash. I did try the Vietjet counter at the airport, but they can only sell domestic tickets. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I forgot to mention how well everything was organised by MedPark hospital, all the staff were great, everything went like clockwork.

Hi Thai Pauly, long time no chat. Just to let you know, I travelled down there on 13th Aug. overnighted in hotel. Originally my appointment was for 12:00 but arrived at 08:40. There were some 30-40 people waiting in a snaked queue. There was also a person with a sign, asking for over 60's, pregnant ladies etc. I spoke to him asking whether this was the right queue for Covid jabs? He asked my age and I told him, he then proceeded to take me to thefront of the queue, along with several others of a similar age, where I handed over paperwork/passport etc. Within a few minutes my passport, and ticket number were handed to me, and I was shown into the waiting area, where my blood pressure was taken, A few minutes later I was called to the front table and a couple more bits of paper were signed, a disclaimer, I was then directed to one of the injection stations. I was then jabbed, and directed to another waiting area, where you hand in your paperwork and wait for 30 minutes, to ensure there are no adverse affects. Your name is called out by a nurse and your blood pressure taken again. If all good then you are given a sheet of paper with your next appointment date on it, and you are good to go. 09:25 I was back in the van heading for Chiang Mai. Good luck and stay safe.

For me its next Thursday.
I shall be traveling down by road from Chiang Mai, not really looking forward to it and don't really know what to expect, but I will phone and check before I travel that the vaccine is still available.

I had the Sinovac at McCormick yesterday. No problems, well organized, staff was friendly and efficient. I would like to express my gratitude to McCormick, like so many of the other posters here I received a notification by email, showed up at the appointed time and received a free vaccine. Thumbs up to management and staff. I'll be back in three weeks for the AstraZeneca jab. I prepaid for 2 Moderna shots a month ago at Lanna, but they aren't scheduled to occur until October. I have been worried about holding out until then so these vaccinations at McCormick are easing the tension a little.
Might you be shuffled down the pecking order when it comes to the Moderna vaccine injection, so that those that have not recieved any innoculation are injected first?

What about the Ex-Pats that do not live in or near Bangkok, surely it would not be too much to ask to engage a hospital in the main cities, Chiang Mai, Choang Rai, KK etc so that the expat community can be serviced. At the moment it looks as if I will have to travel down to Bangkok from Chiang Mai, into a dark red area to get a vacination. So I could end up picking up the virus whilst on my way to get the vaccination for it, Oh the irony!!!

Same here. Under 60 and so far nothing from anywhere(CM Ram Hospital for Moderna, What a Charlie Foxtrot that has been). The only thing I am concerned about now is actually getting to BKK from CNX in order to make my flight back to the US for the Pfizer vaccine.
Maybe catch an early NOK air flight to Don Muang then taxi to BKK, just a thought.

What I'm trying to say is, it's every one and dog for himself right now. Obviously some countries are more successful than others in procuring vaccines but bottom line is, did anyone really expect Thailand to be among those in front of the queue? Those who did really got a lot to learn because it won't be the last time they will be disappointed.
Hi Iks, no one expected them to be at the front of the queue, but I for one, did expect them to join the bloody queue.

The hold up is " They dont have ample supplies of the vaccine"
All the rest is smoke and mirrors and cover ups.
Does one not get the feeling that most the other vaccines are being excluded except for Sinovac and Astra/Zeneca, or is that just me?

3 hours ago, lks7689 said:Comparing Thailand to UK where they have first rights and hoarding supplies of their own vaccine isn't really logical. Even the EU is complaining so.
The EU has been complaining non-stop since the UK showed them up for the incompetents that they are. The UK did not have to wait round till 27 countries ratified the vaccine procurement, they just went out and bought what they needed. The EU then cried foul when the UK got the vaccines they had ordered, ordered some 3 months prior to the EU, yet the EU felt that they had the right to jump the queue. So Van der Layen, the failed German armed forces minister, decided to blame everyone else but the real culprits, themselves, for their short comings.

Hope this helps.
