  1. The last time they had this promotion (November), it worked perfectly well, i booked my flights Samui - Bangkok - Samui for 4,200 THB.

Please explain: when it's 4,500 THB one way, people complain (which i understand). When they have some promotions, some are still complaining: not enough seats, can't change flight,...

Just book for you (don't care if there are only 20 seats, just get yours) and at the time you wish to fly. Easy

Will letyou know on Thursday whether the tickets are booked or not.

well there's going to be some competition for those seats, i've got some family visiting in july and they just happen to be booking US-BKK tomorrow.

*cracks knuckles, flexes fingers and prepares to hit refresh...refresh...refresh...

    Cant book tomorrow 12th

well at least they can book the US-BKK portion of the flight as it's not on bangkok air.

  2. 10k for a pickup all inclusive sounds like quite a good deal.

"Mind you, I cannot get my head around posting a motorbike to Bangkok! How much to the UK I wonder? :whistling:"

i've had one delivered to me from udon thani. 6k lower than the samui price for the same bike and that was after paying 1k for transport.

  4. time will tell if it's the rent or the landlord that is unrealistic. everyone loves to complain about chaweng, "it's too busy, it's too commercialized" etc.

i suppose if all any prospective tenant can dream up is a near identical copy of his neighbors business in chaweng (tailor, lady bar, tourist trinkets) then it's probably neither the rent nor the landlord that is unrealistic, it's the new tenants expectations.

Don't the landlord and the rent go together? Are people still paying this ridiculous "thing" called "key money"? There should be a collapse and the vulturea should have to lower their asking prices but there just seems to be so many people out their who just can't wait to lose their cash.

<deleted>, in Bangrak theres stil new bars springing up!!!!!!! Unbelievable. So where are all these extra tourists going to come from? Governments across europe are imposing austerity measures. The economic situation is dire and yet for some reason people thing that europeans and Brits will come flooding here when the euro and pound is getting hammered by an unrealistically hih Thai baht. Thailand has become a very expensive family holiday.

high rents are everywhere that people are in a buying state. 100k or 200k isn't unrealistic at all if you have a business model that will support it. one glance at chaweng should be enough to see that there are people there that will support that rent, it should also be enough to see that the vast majority of chaweng (and most of the rest of the island) is functionally obsolete. key money is obviously ridiculous and most sane business people would consider other options first. fortunately or unfortunately, samui attracts loads of insane "business" people.

as for bang rak, well that's just insane people on a tight budget.

  6. thanks jimmy. the process really isn't that complicated as it's only cold pressed fruit/seed. from what i can gather so far, thai's don't seem to think it works. i did just pick up a bottle at tesco actually, only because i can read basic thai but still unsure whether it's got any other additives. i'm going to get some leaves and flowers and start extracting myself.

  7. I thought that I bought some a while back from Home Pro (next to Tesco in Chewang)

They also do a German version and a Thai version. I think that it was near the glues and safety equipment etc

dam_n, i'm in home pro every week and i've never seen it. serves me right for avoiding safety equipment i guess.

  8. 100 baht is an insult to both parties involved. either do it free and recover the time through good will and possible future sales or print up a sign that says you charge for these types of things, and in that case charge more than 100 baht <deleted>.

Come to me to instal such a menial program that is freely available with the most basic of google searches it will cost you more than Bt.100, I will charge extra for dumb.

since english isn't your first language, please offer me a hint so that i might use google language tools to better understand your lack of comprehension.

  9. Questions welcome! :)

have you or anyone else found an actual local source of neem oil? (sadao or kadao for the gf/bf)

i'm not looking for the bags of azadirachtin found at local shopping centers, and not in the form of a blend with other products for growth or flowering or pest control. only the oil. ???

  10. i did see a couple of nice cars parked outside as well, including BMW's

IMO , the money should have been slighlty more for the poor who lost everything and maybe or probably didnt have insurance,

i do beleive there where a few people there who would just collect the money for the sake of it ( and who where possibly cover by home insurance )

people really do that sort of thing?

    any elections coming up?
