  1. Thanks for that. What's the issue with Bangkok Bank?
  2. I'll be applying in Bangkok. Where can I find info on the procedure? Thanks
  3. Yes, I have an account here. I used to have a retirement visa back in 2008 but let it lapse a few years later Thanks
  4. Hi, where can I find a comprehensive breakdown of what is required and how to apply for a retirement visa in Thailand? I'll be entering Thailand at the end of February on a tourist visa, I'm a Brit and over 50 Thanks
  5. Hi, I'm flying Bangkok to Melbourne this evening but my flight has been cancelled. The airline will book me on another flight tomorrow but would mean an overstay of around 19 hours. A short overstay like that was never a problem in the past but now I hear immigration are getting stricter. I'll be applying for another tourist visa in a few months time. Probably nothing to worry about but has anyone had any experience lately? Cheers
  6. Hi, I want to limit what syncs from my Mac to my iPhone 15 pro. How do I choose which files and folders automatically sync from my desktop on the Mac when I drop them there, to the phone? I want to keep all my documents in Finder on the Mac in the cloud but not all those that are on the desktop. I'm sure this is easy to do but has been confused. Thanks for any help Cheers
  7. Yeah, that's fixed it. It used to be easy to use. I cannot remember having this trouble before. Why the f*&% do things get moved around!!
  8. Thanks for the reply. yes, that is what I cannot see. All my previous posts I started. Suppose I'll have to contacts support. Cheers
  9. Thanks but firstly there's no three horizontal lines at the top right of the page. I tried clicking on 'More' and I then see, 'My Activity Streams' there I see 'Content I Started' I have this content that I started but all previous content I started is missing? What's happening. Cheers
  10. It's taking longer these days. I used to transfer money from the UK with Wise and it would only take minutes. Now it can take a couple of days
  11. Hi, when logged in I used to be able to click on 'Notifications' at the top of the page and look back on past posts. I now see a message, "There are no notifications to display' What happened?
  12. Thailand only has its self to blame. I love it here and have e been coming and staying for many years but they do shoot them selves in the foot. In 2025 with all the 'me too' and other female issues front and centre now around the world, Pattaya, Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy are allowed to thrive? I'm not a prude but times are changing. For example, walk down Sukhumvit between Asoke and Nana. 5 star, family friendly hotels with the underbelly of Thai nightlife on the street outside. Not just Sukhumvit either. Again, I not a prude and it doesn't bother me really but does beg the question where is Thai tourism going in the 21st century? I suppose they chose Zara McDermott because she will connect with today's young travellers who make up a large percentage of tourist arrivals.
  13. You are assuming I haven't done my research. I don't listen to unqualified voices on the internet. I would have thought that was obvious in any other context. Just because 'big pharma' dominates the manufacture and distribution of drugs doesn't mean vaccine verification procedures are compromised by them. They aren't. Also, plenty of honest, decent people who care about quality, working in modern medicine. Some great work being done on a daily basis to combat the health challenges that face us all.
  14. I therefore should accept the word of unqualified commentators and conspiracy theorists on the internet over professionals? True, professionals don't always get it right, perhaps in the next life everything will be perfect. Unfortunately not in this one.
  15. Plenty of lengthy studies had been undertaken on the validity of vaccines before covid. Yes, thalidomide was a terrible mistake and thousands of children suffered. That doesn't mean the covid vaccination is inherently flawed, All it proves is no vaccine is 100% safe. That has always been the case but the gains FAR OUTWEIGH the risks. There has always been a very small percentage of people who suffer adverse side effects and even, very rarely death.
  16. More intelligent responses and these people get to vote! 😂
  17. All vaccines are unique but the verification procedure is the same. They used the same procedure. The results weren't compromised by that
  18. Yup, that's the quality of argument I'm talking about 😂
  19. All this mistrust of vaccines started with covid. Some people believed because the government (in the UKanyway) sped up the testing and therefore the covid vaccine was unsafe. That was bullish*t. It normally takes years for vaccines to be approved simply because that's the speed government normally works. In an emergency more people can be employed on the case, cancel overtime, work around the clock and deliver a result in a few months, without compromising any of the integrity of the procedure. Anyone who's applied for planning permission (UK again) knows how long a simple procedure can take when dealing with government departments. Anyway, we now have the same whackjobs telling us all vaccines are unsafe. Meanwhile children are not getting vaccinated! Where were these people before covid?
  20. I always stay 60 days on a tourist visa and then 30 day extension. In the last 12 months I've spent Thanks for that. Yes, my gut instincts tell me I should be okay but just wanting others opinions as well. Better to come on a permission to stay. Both offer the same amount of days in the country but permission to stay is a saving over the visa fee. My thinking is, I'm more likely to be given permission to enter if I take a more formal approach including a payment by applying for a tourist visa. Thanks for all your help Bill
  21. I've itemised below my time spent in Thailand in the last 12 months 15/09/24 Entered Thailand on Permission to stay 60 days at Poipet border 16/09/24 Departed to London Length of stay 1 day (Permission to Stay) Length of time outside Thailand 96 Days 20/12/24 Entered Thailand on Permission to stay for 60 days at BKK Extended for 30 Days 19/03/25 Departed Thailand at BKK Length of stay 90 days (Permission to Stay) Length of time outside Thailand 72 days 31/05/25 Entered Thailand on Permission to stay 60 days at BKK Extended for 30 days 27/08/25 Departed Thailand at BKK Length of Stay 90 days (Permission to Stay) 181 total days in Thailand in the last 12 months When I plan to re-enter Thailand on 27/10/25 I will have been outside for 60 days I’m currently in Vietnam and planning to return fly to to BKK, Thailand on 27/10/25 with a tourist visa Obviously if I get the tourist visa there shouldn’t be be a problem re-enetring but just trying to figure now out my odds of getting one. Thanks for any help
  22. Hi, I'm a Brit and I’ve been flying in and out of Thailand over the past few years on tourist visas and occasionally entry stamps. When I go out I always stay out for a couple of months before re-entering by plane. I haven’t had any problems so far any ideas how long I can do this, anyone? Cheers
