Its been @3 months since i sold all my Thai stocks due to the Euro turmoil- been waiting for a chance to jump in. Markets are a bit happier at least in short term because of the positive 'we will do anything it takes' noises coming out of Europe last few days- so i scanned my list of 'blue chip' Thai stocks and saw LANNA and BANPU both very oversold (Banpu well below 30 RSI in fact)- so this morning i bought BANPU (3700 at 399 baht) and LANNA (17,000 at 24 baht - wanted more but the daily volume of this stock is too low for me to feel comfortable with much more).... lets see what happens....
Dont know if ramping stocks on Thai Visa will have much effect

I loved the Add on TV. The essence of 17 chickens all in one jar.
....as the vision on TV had all these chickens whirling around and disappearing into the tiny jar.
Better if the chickens were just served with chips and gravy IMO!

Im not fluent by any means, but im finding i can understand thai TV a bit more these days.
I would say my Thai is "intermediate" at best.
My favourite programs are the crime ones. Where they interview the victim and they explain what happened etc.
I find that with my limited knowledge of thai and the pictures i can get the drift pretty well.
any other language learners like to share their favourite tv programs..

Preferably organic stuff but that represents a tiny portion of the market.
my mother in law tells me she washes the vegetables she buys at the market in a water/vinegar solution to help remove the pesticides.

Android tablet... ipad won't do it..
Just load it up full of movies and your away with 10hrs + battery time.
Im running a motorola xoom 32gb internal/ 32gb external sd + rooted to allow external hdd connection.
Wifi internet if I need it.
I travel international a lot for work and its my lifeline..
Best money I ever spent.
Might add... if anyone starts banging on about ipad. They got no idea or plenty of money paying for itunes movies.

You must live next to that lady who started that muslim bashing thread
To which post are you referring? Mine?
No, just didn't want to quote a thousand words of depression above your post. Thought this thread was going to highlight the positives of this country, but yet again the dooms dayers have stepped in.

The hardest thing about living here is trying to block out all the negativity from jaded types.
Stay positive, this is about life in another country different from where we were born.
It ain't disneyland. Stop being so dissapointed.

Nice one. I'll have to get a benchtop oven/toaster quick.
Just as a side note, I love thai food and not having a winge, but eating out daily must be subjecting me with massive amounts of salt, msg and oils.
Would be the same if I was eating every day at the pub in australia. Msg less common.

Good thinking with the fish.
Pla neung manao would be one that fits the criteria.
Som tum would only really work if you ask for it without sugar as normally its loaded.
