Urgently looking for a restaurant manager for a bbq seafood type restaurant. 80 seats/20 staff. Experience is a plus but not a must.
80 seats / 20 staff? Pfff...
From the same OP who seems to have no experience with local restaurants:
Besides the simple canteen style Thai Food restaurant, Where could I bring some friends visiting for a nice Thai dinner, good food and nice/fancy place. On the beach would be perfectWork permit and a car will be provided.I'd say good luck with that, when the OP does not even seem to know how to apply for a basic driver's licence:
I need to get a thai driving licence for bike and cars. Anyone knows the required documents?Troll.

I have a friend who has normal x-ray film of ankle and wrist injuries, and needs to send a digital copy overseas for evaluation there.
Does anyone know of a place in CM that scans regular x-ray film (i.e., using dedicated scanners that scan large transparencies)?
Many thanks for any helpful suggestions.

Is it really the third of February? It is stellar blue sky in Mae Taeng with visibility over 40 miles. Not a smoke column in sight. Best weather of the year......
Shhhh.... Don't jinx it!

My unscientific way of judging air quality but the view of Doi Sutep looks clearer than it has in a couple weeks.
I rely on the same unscientific methodology to try and determine CM visibility.
However, having just returned from Doi Pui and Doi Suthep, I can tell you that the blanket of thick gray/brown smog is still enveloping the CM valley - visibility at about 7-8km from up there (5pm) today.

Your move.
There should be a Thai flag in there somewhere... for the common element known as "Saamile".

We are already getting flights in the middle of the night. Several landed around 3-4AM the past couple nights.
Yes, and lately some takeoffs after 1am as well.
Most China-bound flights takeoff heading north, and then veer East/NE over Sansai.

Don't let your dog(s) drink the lake water
Also beware of ticks.

Imagine walking into the local veterinary clinic with your pup in arms, and then the vet says:
"Bitch dog needs neutered!"

Things that make Thailand a nice place to live:
1) No war
2) No famine
3) No pestilence

IMHO it is good to move towards a world language, irrespective of what that language is - makes us all better informed.
Couldn't agree more - there is just waaay too much diversity in this world. I mean, you only have to look at the miriad of food choices - it's just soo confusing...

... most of the Internet is English
If by "most of the Internet is English" you mean 54.9% of websites content language being English (as of 9 months ago), then you are correct.

Somewhere here are a couple of rather large water pipes coming out of tanks with large pumps - they may be part or Thongsala's water supply, as they continue in that SW direction along the side of the main middle road. Maybe this pond is one of a few that feed water to that system.
The pond isn't quite there though, it's here: http://goo.gl/maps/yMO2J
There's a water bottling plant near the spot you've marked on the map, or at least I think it's a water bottling/purifying plant. Looks like one, though I haven't investigated too thoroughly.
I've seen a smaller pond feeding into Thongsala's water supply, but that looks like a quarry site to me.
The structures 150m north of my map marker are part of a cement plant.

My 1st guess is that the bus driver had a micro-sleep, hit the median strip, and the carnage followed.
My 2nd guess is that the van tried to split a gap that was too narrow at high speed.
Chances are that long distances, lack of sleep, and maybe illegal substances may be involved in this accident.

How about you take a pic then... ? ....
I would, but I'm currently seated very comfortably in a sofa 1014km away (as the crow flies).

Lake on other side of the road, a km or so up a side road !
It's more like a pond, there's very little water there in the dry season. I think it's an old quarry of some kind, though it may now be used as an irrigation pond.

On the middle road going through Koh Phangan!
Lovely small spot in the middle of KPG's jungle. Apparently they pipe the fishing lake's water from 2km away.
So water coming from probably from here....posted in the photo section, nice view.... which I had never seen until the other day...

Without breaking any forum rules, somewhere near here.

If these stings were from a bluebottle "jellyfish", then vinegar treatment may make it worse.

It seems Windhorse cannot promote healthy veg/cheese/eggs/fish because of this forum's self-promotion ban.
Surely the wellbeing of TV members could be placed above commercial interests for once...
Only forum sponsors may promote their own business. This is a very strict forum rule.
Totally understandable.
After all, we can't just allow any hobby farmer to derail the robust ThaiVisa business model, by selling a couple of dozen surplus eggs here.

Looking at the side of the van, it's a miracle there were no serious injuries...

In your case, the Oz bank was offering you a spread of about 8.00% (160x). I've seen desperate Spanish banks offering to make the transferer 14.00% (280x) poorer.
Correction (quoted buy ~ mid-price spread above):
In your case, the Oz bank was offering you a buy-sell spread of about 16.00%. I've seen up to 28% spreads with some Spanish banks.
