My wife was vaccinated today at one of the centers, Angsana Resort. She and a couple of her friends did not apply through the form, they just went down there this morning about 9am, it was packed, 100's of people. Got a queue number and realised she would need to wait hours, so returned home and went back at 3pm.

They gave her the form there, filled it out then got the Sinovac vaccine. No priority order on who gets it, be that health, hotel or the general public.

Is it normal procedure to get your shot 1 day after being by your own words classified as a high risk person and not stay at home in self quarantine?

  2. Thanks to your hint about chang/leo having alot calories i did a check. Before that i never care. Found that. It's quiet shocking.......

    For small bottle:

97 calories - Singha Light Beer (Thailand)

100 calories - San Miguel Light Beer (Philippines)

103 calories - Chang Light Beer (Thailand)

123 calories - Tiger Crystal Light Beer (Singapore)

130 calories - Singha Beer (Thailand)

135 calories - Tiger Beer (Singapore)

150 calories - Chang Beer (Thailand)

150 calories - Heineken Beer (Holland)

150 calories - Phuket Lager Beer

153 calories - Asahi Beer (Japan)

165 calories - Leo Beer (Thailand)

So with which beer do you substitute chang/leo?

Yes. I did try it a while ago. Very good if I remember.

I haven't tried the Ayinger beer in your picture. Been trying to lose weight this year so haven't drunk much beer at all. Avoiding Chang, Leo and the like in particular!

Celebrator from Ayinger is a great doppelbock. Rated 1th at ratebeer.

    https://www.ratebeer.com/beerstyles/bock-doppelbock/26/

    You should try it.

Tried to loose weight too in 2020. Was no success lol. Now since 5 weeks no more bread and pizza for me and i lost 6kg already.

Bread is the killer not beer i guess now.

  4. Back from Tops. This are my top 3 doppelbock here on HKT.

    @madmitch did you try Korbinian?

It's a dark doppelbock with light foam. Taste of toffee, nuts, chocolate and dark malt aroma. 10/10 points from me for that beer.

For Abt and Celebrator can give only 9 points because of their small bottle seize lol.

To say that Snowy Weissen is better should give a clue as to how bad this was.

     Lol.

Tried that riceberry cheers beer some days ago. Filled it into my glass i thought wooow holly <deleted> it looks like a great doppelbock.

But taste&smell are a big disappointment.

Tomorrow Tops time to buy real beer!

    depends on what u consider a mall>
Phuket home pro in Chalong where Villa is
    central Mall

    central festival

    Big C Phuket town
    turtle village
    Robinsons

    Premium Outlet

    Index shopping mall
    tesco on bypass
    Thalang Tesco
    central patong (currently closed)
    Jung Ceylon ( partial closed)
    Boat Avenue Chen talay

    Porto de phuket chern talay

    + Big SuperCheap in town.

  7. Hadn't a Red Horse for a long time but found it a my family this week. Nice change to the other thai beers. More like a pilsner and stronger with 8%. Sure worth the 75 baht price tag.

  8. After month of maledives style paradise at patong beach with seaeagles and blue water now the new hub is complete. Hub of giant electric boxes on the beach. Or like the songteow and beachboys call them the new toilets.

Every 200 meter you can find this amazing looking boxes bigger then most rooms for rent. Amazing patong.

Yes indeed it will, and although I get hopeful (from time to time) that Patong will open up again, several things seem to happen which shatter that hope.

A few more small shops closing down and being emptied out of all of the fixtures and fittings, and indeed rooms being advertised for 250 baht a night, and to counter that, a couple of new bars opening up, but the latest rumour is about the future of Jungceylon and indeed Big C, and that worries me.

The first rumour I heard was that Big C was closing in a couple of weeks, and that would be catastrophic for me and quite probably for the likes of many other expats here, however the second rumour was that Jungceylon itself was closing down, although Big C was staying open!

I wouldn't mind that (the second rumour) at all, because Big C has entrances and exits enough to be able to satisfy any foot traffic, and for the farangs like me, they do have a wide selection of goods, and enough to satisfy my needs without having to travel to Chalong or Phuket town to do my shopping.

Indeed time will tell if either of these rumours comes to fruition......

Closing JC i also would not care. But Big C would hurt. No more fresh french bread...no more Casino products....lets hope that it's only rumour.

The most shocking thing about it is that he just shot the next best guy passing by because the bouncer wouldn’t let him in the club! Why didn’t he shoot the bouncer? By that I don’t mean he should’ve done that, but I really don’t get shooting the fruit vendor! He had nothing to do with it whatsoever!

The bouncers would shoot and maybe killed him first if he would go after them.

Noodle guy was next easy target to compensate his loss of face.
