Genuine reason for sale - because of health problems (arthritis in left hand), i really need an "auto" now - so would consider a deal with an X-ADV750 or NC750X .......

Thanks for the suggestions and recommendations for Rala Music, but I really want a local shop here in Pattaya so I can browse through what's available.

Choosing a pick for example is all about personal preference, some people like them more rigid than others. :whistling:

have sent you a pm with a few ideas ....

Thanks for the tip. but I also need to buy accessories... case, picks, capo, tuner, stand etc.

I can probably only get these items at a shop.

And it's always nice to browse to see what other gadgets are available.

Electro acoustic is something I had not considered.

Do you know what model he is selling so I can do my research first to check out the guitar before I contact him and potentially waste his time?

sorry don't know model - message him on facebook ..... can get all the other stuff on if needs be .......

The new colour from November 2021 models seem to be everywhere now, even Khanom where I am. Problem was I wanted the 2020 one with the stripes in red and managed to find the last one in Nakhon Si Thammarat. The white 2020 model also looks really nice. Not sure why they've gone down the plain route with the new colour options.

Love everything about it but agree it needs a bit more poke in acceleration. We have a lot of Thai tourists here who seem to drive very slowly then accelerate when you try to pass.

The ADV is not as quick off the mark and mid range as the equilivant PCX - even though they've got the same engine .... Honda have made alterations to the clutch / variator sections in their infinate wisdom ..

A standard Aerox is a fair bit quicker off the mark / mid range than a standard ADV 150, pretty infuriating really as the Aerox is significantly cheaper .....

The way forward is to fettle the ADV, but one has to be very careful, as some mods can spoil what is a very nice scooter ....

Yes, it's only talk now, but they did keep Forza 350 quite a secret until a few months before release. We will see what a Forza 750 looks like on 14 Oct announcement...

But they now do have a big gap between ADV 150 and X-ADV 750 (kind of adv chassis type, not Forza), so will make sense if they come up with something in the middle...

We have to wait and see, if anything it will be mid next year or even later, ADV 150 is fairly new..., so they see how it sells and get feedback...

Agreed ...a 300/350, would slot in there nicely .......

i'm surprised Yamaha haven't done some ADV offering too....... Maybe that's on the cards ??

This is a very detailed Thai review - unusual..., need translator...., it also mentioned at the end of a next model, many think/hope there will be a ADV300/350cc at some point...!

We rented this bike with a friend and I rode it for an hour. Can't fault it, I didn't even know it has ABS on front brake (not back though).

My only small complaint was legroom, the vertical footrest at the end of horizontal footrest is badly designed, wrong angle and very small, unless you have foot size 5 of a girl...!? It's really Asian size that bit...!

Other than that, very smooth and handles great...

I spoke to the manager of The big honda dealers by the Honda factory in Bowin, last week about when the ADV300 / 350 was coming out ..... he knew nothing about it !  .  lol...

i do hope it isn't the same pie in the sky that has been threatening a CRF 300 for several years !

I just got the new 2021 Honda ADV 150 yesterday and I am extremely pleased with how it drives and handles. The suspension is great, like on a bigger bike and the bike is perfectly balanced, opposed to my old PCX 150, which was horrible to ride. The only disadvantage is the limited storage space under the seat, which doesn´t fit a large full-face helmet. I wanted this bike badly, so I had to buy a new and smaller helmet for it as well.

    rack / 33L Givi box - ( c. 990b & 1,300b Lazada ) - ploblem solved...

Great for shopping too.....And suits the style of the bike (imho)..

That's all wonderful and I agree the Duke 390 is a great bike - I own one (new model). But the seat position is too high for a 5'7 rider! I am 186cm tall and I can flat foot that bike - just about.

    660_flat20foot.ashx?la=en&hash=24E0FA5A4

This is just a picture to show the idea of flat foot - the bike is not the Duke.

a lowering kit is availably freely and cheaply on tinternet, plus you can also cut come of the foam away from the fairly chunky seat .....

the 390 can and will fit him like a glove ..... (a lot of ladies have 390's)

    Never say never .....

if i need a couple inches i can seach for a mechanic that can install a lowering kit.

    OP,

To reply to your original question.....

The Honda CB300R, MT03 and Kawa Z300 are "Vanilla bikes" - there's nowt wrong with vanilla ice cream, but you want a Ben and Jerry's chocko mint chip, bike.....

The best bike in this category ( by a country mile)  is the KTM Duke 390 (i know - ive had 2 of them, the original Gen 1 and now the Gen 2, which came out after 2018...) ....

If you click on the video below (MT03 vs Gen 1 Duke 390 - and skip to 3m 45sec)..

You hear the word "special" - a word rarely used by bike testers these days ...... The MT03 didn't stand a chance - and the Gen 2  390 Duke is much much better than the Gen 1.....

Then on to the Gen 2  390 vs Kawa Z400 (the duke already trounced the Z300 in an earlier test, so no point posting a link to that)....

At the end of the test - the 24,000 dollar question - Both testers were asked " if it was your own money, which bike would you buy " ?  (clue - it wasn't the kawa, dispite being $500 USD cheaper in the USA....

The KTM 390 Gen 2 has ride by wire throttle, slipper clutch, LED display, adjustable ABS and a feel when you ride it like you're on something special.......

Prices at the moment are very affordable, as the previous importer / distributer closed down - but a new importer has just opened up and a new dealer network set up - so there will be no problem with servicing / spare parts ........

And the 390 isn't just a novice's bike - ive been riding almost 45 hears, with the neck end of 60 bikes under my belt - My 390 is one of the best bikes i've ever owned .....

Currently i got the duke and a Hypermotard, if one of them had to go, i can say hand on heart, it wouldn't be the ktm .....

So to conclude - IMHO - Go Ben an Jerry's ....
