  1. Just been told that Central Airport and Central Festival are closed while they check for any earthquake damage. Anyone have any news about this?
  2. Centre in Burma just north of Pai. 7.9 magnitude. House rocked for a couple of minutes, thought it was me and I needed the hospital 😀
  3. Friend in Mae Sariang said goods were falling off the shelves in Lotus and all the lights went out. Centre of quake in Myanmar (Burma) just north of Pai.
  4. Yes, here in Nong Phueng, Saraphi. Thought I was having a heart attack until I saw the trees shaking.
  5. Yes, this has been happening for some time. Reported here often. Use to be one night, then two nights so now up to three nights. Some borders are insisting the returnee fly back!
  6. Friend of mine just got back from a visa run to Vietnam. Left last week no exit stamp, they just looked at his passport and handed it back.
  7. Thanks for the addition, I'd forgotten about the outside repairs as I've never used it. Having said that I'll probably need it soon!
  8. Amorn at Big C Extra is now a furniture shop. Amorn at Computer City on the northwest of the moat is now only on the ground floor and now sells a lot of foodstuffs outside the actual shop.
  9. I was one of the 200 views, hoping to learn more about debit card use and restrictions. I have only used mine at the banks' machines to pay in or draw out money. I did, once, use it at a restaurant and it was accepted.
  10. OK I'll reply to keep you happy. Where is 'Villa Mart'? Never heard of it.
  11. Where is he located? I'm in the Saraphi area and have three A/Cs requiring a clean.
  12. Painless. Was given pain killers and antibiotics after the major surgery, only used one pain killer before bed in case, never used nor needed the others. Also told, the slightest problem come back after each visit.
  13. That's where I'm in the process of having implants. Dr Surasak spends time explaining each stage of the procedure. X-Rays, CT-Scans and numerous photos taken at each stage and can be reviewed while there. For the bone graft blood was taken from my arm, blood plasma separated and infused with the graft material to ensure easy acceptance. Follow up visits a couple of weeks after each major operation to check progress. No rushing. My next visit is early next year to ensure the implants into the bone are completely solid and then the 'teeth' will be inserted.
  14. The junction at Auf Der Au is now flooded. A Thai friend rang and said that the water was rising and heading south. I got an SMS, in Thai, from the 'Department of Disaster Management and Prevention', seems it's a general warning they've got the mobile phone providers to send out to every phone in the "danger" areas. One man killed when he tried to get into his car. An electric cable had fallen into the water and was still live. Be careful out there.
